Fresno, California’s ELDER DEVIL have released their sophomore album, Everything Worth Loving, via Prosthetic Records. Alongside the album release, the grindcore group also recently announced July US tour dates in support of Everything Worth Loving – with further info below.

Stream Everything Worth Loving via Apple Music | TIDAL | Deezer | Bandcamp and Spotify
Order Everything Worth Loving here.

Speaking on the album release, ELDER DEVIL‘s Jacob Lee comments: “We hope everyone enjoyed the singles, but we are relieved that Everything Worth Loving can finally be heard in its entirety. I feel like the album has a singular musical message that flows throughout its runtime and if that evokes any kind of emotional response out of someone I’ll take that as a positive. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out!”

Founded in 2016 by primary songwriter Jacob Lee (Hellish Form, Keeper, PlasticBag FaceMask) and vocalist Stephen Muir, ELDER DEVIL‘s mission statement of crafting corruscating grindcore and apoplectic sludge for the love of extreme music, and the scene they were birthed from, has remained unwavering in its execution. With a handful of EPs and 2019 full-length, The Light Dimmed Eternal, ELDER DEVIL’s latest chapter is an uneasy rumination on grief.

Everything Worth Loving tracklist:
1. Endless Need
2. The Hounds at Night
3. Awash in Light
4. My Body is an Earthen Shrine
5. New Grief
6. Insomnia
7. What Do You See?
8. After Flesh
9. Puncture Wound
10. Burning Forest
11. What Do You Hear?
12. Dismal and Alone
13. Everything Worth Loving

Upon completing writing for the musical components of Everything Worth Loving in January 2021, Muir took meticulous care in penning the lyrics to their sophomore’s 13 tracks. With the passing of his mother at the forefront of his mind, Everything Worth Loving is tinged with personal loss and a sense of displacement. Melding the insular and universal aspects of such grief is exemplified on the title track’s ponderance of love itself, as Muir questions, “Why do we love and why does that love leave?”. ELDER DEVIL’s answers for such questions are not easily stomached, but beneath the surface of their harsh noise lies a comfort within the cacophony.

With Lee once again taking on production duties, ELDER DEVIL commenced recording and mixing sessions between April and May of 2022 before handing over mastering duties to Jacob Plotkin (Cave In, Old Man Gloom, Street Sects and many more). The resulting 13 tracks possess a fervently raw side to the band, capturing ELDER DEVIL’s live explosiveness and grit in equal measure.

The striking black and white cover art for Everything Worth Loving was commissioned from Richmond, VA artist Derek R. Setzer, embodying the restless disquiet of ELDER DEVIL’s latest work. For all of the harsh truths and loss that permeates Everything Worth Loving, ELDER DEVIL’s second long player sees the quartet stand tall on, and come into, their own in uncompromisingly dark fashion.

ELDER DEVIL – Everything Worth Loving tour dates
July 7 – Taqueria Mila – Santa Rosa, CA
July 8 – Nail House – Eugene, OR
July 9 – Lucky Liquor – Seattle, WA
July 10 – Shanghai Tunnel – Portland, OR
July 11  – Golden Bull – Oakland, CA

ELDER DEVIL is:
Stephen Muir – vocals
Jacob Lee – guitar
Peter Ruacho – drums and noise
Ryan Urquidez – bass

Hummingbird is the second single from the upcoming album, and it represents the album’s most melodic section, with a new kind of sonic atmosphere. At the same time, the song contains familiar SIDEWALK MAFIA elements and heaviness with an even more melancholic general thematic.

Singer-guitarist Tommy said; “The song’s idea and topic came to me last summer, when I was talking in the middle of the night with my good friend about failures, wrong choices, wrong behavior and the fears and the feelings of being left alone. These things stuck in my mind, and the next day I made this song in one sitting, which is not always the most typical way of working for me”

Available now at: Apple Music | Spotify | & other major stores

Sidewalk Mafia is a blackened doom metal band(trio) from Helsinki, Finland. The band’s sound is extremely heavy and oppressive with low tuned guitars. Sidewalk Mafia was founded in 2020 by vocalist/guitarist Tommi Paroles and drummer/vocalist Johannes Wolfpathon. The band released their debut full-length album 72 Hours in digital format in May 2022 via Sliptrick Records.

Sidewalk Mafia are:
Tommy Paroles – Vocals/Guitars | Johannes Wolfpathon – Drums/Vocals | Tom O´Valley – Bass

FIGHT THE FIGHT are the soundtrack to punch your inner demons.

But furthermore, Fight The Fight are one of the most-interesting alternative metal groups out there always pushing to evolve their soundscape and challenge their listeners.

June 16th the band finally returned with the brand-new single Monarch, their first new music since their critically acclaimed sophomore album Deliverance from 2020.

Monarch marks the return of Fight the Fight to their metal thrones – with an epic new and powerful blend of intoxicating metal, and a new line-up, their music hit harder than ever before.

Listen to the single here: https://orcd.co/monarchftf

Fight the Fight comment:
After a few years of searching to find our path, we have found a direction that seems right for us. When our former vocalist, Lars Vegas, quit the band, the remaining of us sat down and discussed our future. We decided to come back stronger than ever and dig even deeper into our musical inspirations.”

And this track truly is something different. Through enticing melody lines – and brand new, compelling, and authoritative vocals, Monarch has Fight the Fight venturing into a metalcore soundscape, colored by deathcore vocals, and empowered by prog metal elements.

It’s catchy, new, and magnificent – not what you expected, but what you never knew you missed.

Fight the Fight are
Tord Statle Larsen – Guitar, backing vocals
Fredrik Teig Bergstrøm – Guitar, main vocals
Hans-Magnus Endestad Hermansen – Bass, backing vocals
Baard Kolstad – Drums

#1 Active Rock radio-charting British rock outfit ASKING ALEXANDRIA have established themselves as one of the most important rock bands of this generation through years of hard touring, four RIAA Gold-certified singles, two #1 albums and several Top 10 hits. The band—Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Danny Worsnop (vocals), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass) and James Cassells (drums)—will release their anticipated eighth full-length studio album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? this fall via Better Noise Music. The album’s debut track “Dark Void” was released in May and saw the band return to their metalcore beginnings has already amassed 5 million streams and 1 million video views to date. ASKING ALEXANDRIA have today (June 16) shared the album’s electrified first official radio single “Psycho” along with releasing the vindictive, heavy-hitting track “Bad Blood across digital platforms. Stream both tracks HERE. Watch the “Psycho” music video below or directly via YouTube HERE.

“‘Psycho’ is one of those songs that is talking about when you feel trapped inside your own head, trapped by your own vices and your own downfalls,” explains BRUCE. “Whether it’s being stuck in a relationship that doesn’t work for you, or feeling like you can’t stop drinking or doing drugs, or maybe you’re stuck in a job that you hate, and you’re just battling yourself in your own head wondering ‘why am I still here? Why do I keep doing these things?’. Ultimately, at the end of the day we all feel a little bit crazy…a little bit like a Psycho. It’s just a fun song that we can all relate to, and stylistically we thought to ourselves ‘how do we make a song that sounds like it could live on the ‘Like A House On Fire’ album, but also like it could live on the ‘From Death to Destiny’ album?’. So musically, from a writing standpoint, it was a really enjoyable experience to meld those two eras of Asking Alexandria together and see what that might look like.”

Earlier this week ASKING ALEXANDRIA announced a co-headlining tour with THE HU, the acclaimed Mongolian rock sensation and Better Noise Music labelmates. The “Psycho Thunder” tour will kick off this fall and also includes labelmates Bad Wolves and opening act Zero 9:36. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.askingalexandria.com. The UK-based rockers will make their way overseas in July for three festival appearances—Rock Fest (WI), Inkcarceration Festival (OH) and Louder Than Life (KY)—before the co-headlining tour commences August 30 in San Antonio, TX. Throughout the trek, which ends October 8 in Los Angeles, ASKING ALEXANDRIA will appear on additional festival dates including Rocklahoma (OK), Blue Ridge Rock Festival (VA), and Louder Than Life (KY). DREAM DROP Release New Single ‘Bomb Your Place of Work’

Alternative metal band based in Gothenburg DREAM DROP, has truly come out on top, since the live scene made a comeback after the pandemic restrictions. They opened three shows for Blood Command in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm and just got back from a long period of touring together with Smash Into Pieces and STARSET. With a constant presence on social media, and a close contact with their own community, the band shows a clear creative thinking that is required to get the attention of the outside world.

The alternative metal and emo band have also been busy in the studio finalizing their 3rd studio album ‘ACNE SUPERSTAR’, set to be released in November this year. The album is a tribute to the teenage years and today the band releases the second chapter called ‘Bomb Your Place of Work’. Dream Drop’s new single mixes alternative metal and emo with beautiful and emotional lyrics, something that has become the band’s hallmark.

”The song is not something we encourage others to do, it’s more of  an outlet for all the anger you might not express openly or act upon. We don’t want people to bomb their workplaces, we just want to put the feeling of hating your jon into words.” – Dream Drop

‘Bomb Your Place of Work‘ is out now on all music streaming services.
