The second track to be revealed from the forthcoming MOTÖRHEAD, Live At The Montreux Jazz Festival release is, ‘I Got Mine’. Originally released as a single in June 1983, preceding the album, ‘Another Perfect Day’, it feels fitting that this powerful live rendition from 2007 is aired in celebration of it’s 40th anniversary.
Recorded during the band’s ‘Kiss Of Death’ tour at the legendary Auditorium Stravinski on 7th July during the 2007 edition of the world renowned, Montreux Jazz Festival this show is such a tremendous statement of just how potent and perfect a trio Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee were, with not just one of the more diverse set-lists of their decades together, but individual performances which prove how top of the tree each was in their own class.
Motörhead, Live At The Montreux Jazz Festival ’07 will be released on double LP, double CD and digital.
MOTÖRHEAD loved playing live and never ever judged their audiences. Everyone was encouraged, all were welcome. And that included people who like jazz! So when the Montreux Festival called requesting them, it made perfect sense in its own, unique way. ‘Tis worth noting, too, that the Festival has always been about stepping beyond the boundaries of that ‘J’ word, and embracing unique artists of all genres, styles and sensibilities, the only true consistent requirement being that they represent the best and most adventurous of their ilks. It is why, in the ‘artists played’ list, alongside a Dexter Gordon you’ll find a Deep Purple or a ZZ Top, and it’s why the Festival continues to attract a diverse roster of artists to its stage annually. The recordings of seminal performances such as these, were all given UNESCO heritage status in 2013, such is their value to the arts.

English alternative rock quartet HAUNT THE WOODS have released the new Jordan Fish (BMTH) remix of their soul-stirringly brilliant new single ‘Fever Dream’.
Haunt the Woods comment: “A remix of our single ‘Fever Dream’, done by Jordan Fish of Bring Me The Horizon. The result is something incredibly creative, a completely different take on the topic and refreshing sound.”
Watch the video for the original version of ‘Fever Dream’ here:
With elements as disparate as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, The Mars Volta, Queen and beyond, Haunt the Woods are a curiously unique band.
In the deepest reaches of the English countryside there is a sublime sound emanating from the landscape, and its name is Haunt the Woods. Timely and yet oddly timeless, this surprisingly youthful quartet span musical decades and worlds.
Recently signed with Spinefarm, it won’t be long before you hear plenty more from these musical mavericks, and with good reason. Formed in the hinterlands between Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall, Haunt the Woods deftly interweave alt rock, folk, prog and pop with an epic level of pomp and poetic elegance that suggests a far longer tenure than their young years suggest. There are tips of the hat to Queen and Muse, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, and a sprinkled-in tinge of Beatles-loving pop sensibility and Manchester Orchestra-esque poignancy: Haunt the Woods have that rare ability to conjure legacy while creating a bold sound that is newly their own.
With two warmly received EPs and a debut album, Opaque (2020) which was released in 2020, the stage has been set for their overdue introduction to the world, which begins with their stunning new single ‘Fever Dream’. Cinematic in scope, operatic in texture – it’s a fitting illustration of the band’s prowess and talent.

Ferocious four-piece SAINT AGNES have released a video for their new single ‘Outsider’. The track is the third taste of their upcoming album Bloodsuckers, set for release on 21st July. ‘Outsider’ was premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Rock earlier this week, with Alyx Holcombe stating: “a band that I think just sounds like the future of rock music … I’m so excited about them”.
Vocalist / multi-instrumentalist Kitty A. Austen comments:
“‘Outsider’ is a gothic rock anthem for the strange. It’s part letter to my younger, very lost self, part promise to anyone out there feeling lost or alone – you are an outsider, but that’s the best thing about you. Celebrate your differences, own your special strangeness. You will find your people, there are lots of us out here! Perennial outsiders, doing things our own way. And you might be a bit broken, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not whole: it doesn’t mean that you’re not worthy. ‘Outsider’ is an invitation to join our weird, wild world and a promise that you will always have a home with us if you struggle to find one elsewhere. I wish I could tell the odd kid that I was, that she will find a glorious home one day with a band of outsiders and that she will be very happy there.”
Following their triumphant sold-out London headline show in April, Saint Agnes will join Monster Magnet on their spring / summer European run and play a show with Employed To Serve next month, before returning to the UK to perform at 2000trees Festival.
Saint Agnes are also making big waves in the gaming world, with the release of Dead Island 2 last month. The game, which features the Saint Agnes song ‘And They All Fall Down’, has sold over two million copies.
Hailing from the UK, Saint Agnes are all about honest lyrics, intense vocal performances, plus rage-fuelled music intended to give a voice to those closer to the fringe than the centre.
As much gang as band, Saint Agnes seek to empower those who’ve been battered and bruised yet refuse to lie down, and it’s a thread that runs deep within Bloodsuckers, the follow-up to 2019’s Welcome To Silvertown, issued on the band’s own label.
In addition to … Silvertown, Saint Agnes have released a number of singles, videos and EPs, embarked on headline tours in both the UK and Europe, and appeared at a host of festivals, including Download, 2000trees, Isle of Wight and Kendal Calling.
One thing’s for sure, it’s got nothing to do with rule-books or playing it safe…
From the title track (also lead single / video) onwards, Bloodsuckers is a genre-jumping body of work, taking in elements of metal, punk, industrial and grunge, without being bound by any specific style; the 11 tracks here come straight from the source, largely self-produced and mixed (NIN collaborator Sean Beavan lends his mixing and production skills to ‘Follow You’), and this self-contained approach provides an extra emotional weight throughout, with doom trap provocateur and Kerrang! cover artist Mimi Barks further fuelling the chaos on the short, sharp shock that is ‘Body Bag’.
Created in the months following the unexpected and untimely death of Kitty’s mother, Bloodsuckers explores a number of themes, including mental illness, pent-up rage, undying love and, of course, grief; from the trash-metal howl into the night that is ‘Bloodsuckers’ right through to broken ballad, ‘This Is Not The End’, a poignant reflection of Kitty’s still-raw emotions, this is a call to outsiders everywhere…
Concludes Kitty: “Creating this album gave me a reason to get to my feet at a time when I really wasn’t sure if I could. I’ve tried to put everything I’ve been feeling into it, all the pain, the rage, the grief, even the unexpected moments of beauty and belief. I hope it makes you feel less alone. I hope it makes you feel bigger, badder and stronger. We might be damaged but that doesn’t mean we’re worthless. This is a record for the defeated, the crushed. We might be broken but that doesn’t mean we’re not whole. Bloodsuckers forever, Saint Agnes forever.”
BLOODSUCKERS TRACKLISTING: “Bloodsuckers” “Animal” “I Mean Nothing To You” “Outsider” “This Is Not The End” “Follow You” “I Am” “At War With Myself” “Middle Finger” “Body Bag” (Feat. Mimi Barks) “Forever And Ever”

Something brutal is coming. Amidst a resurgent, tonal wave of aggression taking place in metal, Cleveland bred pioneers of extreme atrocity RINGWORM have risen. Decades into their influential career, the band has announced their signing to Nuclear Blast Records with plans to release their most vicious record in decades, Seeing Through Fire, on August 18th.
Commenting on the band’s signing to Nuclear Blast, founding vocalist Human Furnace says: “We couldn’t be more excited, really. Getting out to a larger audience is always the goal. And after a career as long as ours, you really appreciate your opportunities when they come to you. The chance to reach out to a globally larger metal scene, is always what the doctor ordered. NB gives us reach that we haven’t had over the years and we’re definitely fired up.”
Speaking about the record HF adds: “We’re pretty pumped on ‘Seeing Through Fire.’ It’s a total burner. It’s a straight forward, “smash your face and leave you layin there wondering what you got hit with” type record. We’ve never felt the need to “re-invent our own wheel” but going into this one we tried some different things sonically, and we’re very happy with the results. Of course, it’s the intention, every time we record a new record, but we feel like the over-all sound, feel and aggression of ‘Seeing Through Fire,’ one ups many of our past records. Which, for anyone that knows our catalog, is not always an easy task. With every new record, you have to dig deeper.”
Today, the band has revealed the record’s first single, a no holds barred, furious neck snapping track called ‘No Solace, No Quarter, No Mercy‘ that lays the groundwork for the impending brutality.
HF says of the new single: “There’s A LOT of crushers on the new one, so it was hard to pick one as a single. But we finally settled on ‘NO SOLACE, NO QUARTER, NO MERCY.’ It’s got hooks, beat downs, head bangs, thrash…. Over-all a pretty good taste of what you’re gonna get from the new record and RINGWORM, in general. This one, delves into the endless conflict that we never seem to be free from. The constant outward, internal, mental and physical assaults that shape our lives, test our endurance, push our limits and challenge our breaking points.”
With aggressive tendencies in metal on the rise again, RINGWORM’s return is warmly welcomed. The band has been violating the eardrums of listeners for years with more cataclysmic grit and intensity than peers half their age. As listeners of the first new single can attest, RINGWORM have emerged angrier than ever with no signs of slowing down any time soon.
“Seeing Through Fire” Tracklisting: 1. Seeing Through Fire 2. Carved In Stone 3. No Solace, No Quarter, No Mercy 4. Death Hoax 5. Thought Crimes 6. Unavoidable Truth 7. House of Flies 8. You Want It To 9. Mental Decontrol 10. Power and Blood 11. Playing God
