CREEPER Announce New Album “Sanguivore” + Share ‘Cry To Heaven’ Video

A new chapter in the thrillingly theatrical story of CREEPER gets underway today as the acclaimed UK band shares the brand new single and video “Cry To Heaven” and announce the Friday, October 13 release of their third album Sanguivore.

Watch the video here.

CREEPER’s previous albums — Eternity, In Your Arms and Sex, Death & the Infinite Void — have seen the band enamour an army of devotees, a highly committed following that propelled their second album to a Top 5 chart position.

Vocalist William Von Ghould says, “Keeping in line with the band’s ethos of aggressive musical progression, the song is once again an ambitious departure from previous works. ‘Cry To Heaven’ turns the key and unlocks a door to a new world of decadent excess. The introduction to a new tragic story of love, loss, and vampires. This is Creeper at their most outrageous, harking back to a time where Jim Steinman ruled the airwaves in leather gloves and Aviators.”

Opening with the rousing harmonies of the devil’s own choir, “Cry To Heaven” immediately establishes another fresh evolution of CREEPER’s style. It’s a luscious, maximalist wall of sound in which swaggering hard rock at its most anthemic is amplified by punchy, high-drama synths, topped by the band’s signature vocal interplay between William Von Ghould’s sinister croon and Hannah Greenwood’s majestic range.

It’s a track which sees CREEPER extending and updating the lineage of the darkwave hedonism of The Sisters of Mercy with the crunching guitars and wounded roar of Danzig. Those two bands are also reference points for the accompanying video, which sees Von Ghould channeling classic Andrew Eldritch vibes within a visual that feels like an S&M twist on The Lost Boys.

The song’s lyrics also tease the narrative that will unfold within the Sanguivore narrative. Its references to blood lust, sex, cannibalism, and a human disguise hint at a new story of ill-fated love and corrosive lust — themes which burn throughout CREEPER’s previous album concepts.

For the uninitiated, a sanguivore is an entity that needs to feast upon blood to survive.

“Cry To Heaven” is the latest result of CREEPER’s collaboration with the twisted mind of producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood, The Cult, Killing Joke).

Sanguivore is now available to pre-order or pre-save HERE.

In addition to its digital release, the album will be available on physical formats which include limited edition vinyl formats and CD.

The news comes as CREEPER are set to play the Heavy Music Awards at the OVO Wembley Arena tonight, where they’re nominated for Best UK Artist, Best UK Live Artist and Best Single for “Ghost Brigade.” Their previous accolades include landmark awards from Kerrang!, Metal Hammer and Rock Sound.

Completing the CREEPER line-up are founder members Ian Miles (guitar) and Sean Scott (bass) along with drummer Jake Fogarty.

Death/doomers from WELCOME TO PLESHIWAR, who were founded in 2021, attracted attention with their debut EP “Unsolved” last year. The quartet’s death-doom, which is strongly influenced by the 90s and enriched with progressive elements, was immediately received with enthusiasm by the press and fans alike.

In the meantime, plans are underway for the full-length debut of the musicians, who, by the way, are no blank slates and are or were active with bands such as Lacrima Christi, Immortalis and Reawacan. For the Full Lenght debut, which will be released in autumn, they not only have a studio date with Andy Classen in mind, but have also signed a deal with Black Sunset/MDD!

If you want to know what to expect, you can listen to the current EP on the bandcamp profile. More information about the upcoming album will be available soon – stay tuned!

DELIRIO AND THE PHANTOMS Unveil Official Video for ‘The Light Scares You’, Debut Album Out June 16th

DELIRIO AND THE PHANTOMS – the new project of Freddy Delirio (DEATH SS, FREDDY DELIRIO AND THE PHANTOMS) and his son Chris Delirio, will release their debut album “Platinum” on June 16th 2023 via Fuel Records/Self.

The album will be available as CD, LP and digital. The pre-orders are available here: https://bfan.link/platinum-1

Today the band unveils the official video for the first single “The Light Scares You”:

Every Friday new videos will be available here: https://www.youtube.com/@delirioandthephantoms.

Freddy Delirio, historical keyboardist of Death SS with whom he has an extensive discography     produced by himself at an artistic level, has reached the top of the charts on more than one occasion (among the many records: Ten, Rock’n’Roll Armageddon, Resurrection, The Darkest night etc.) to which is added a very important live activity as a headline Singer and founder of H.A.R.E.M., with 22 years of discography (Fuel Records – SELF Distribution) and concerts to his credit, he has been a producer and sound engineer for over 30 years (professor Production Bachelor Jam Academy). Owner of the FP Recording Studio with hundreds of productions made internationally, he arrives at a new record and project called Delirio and The Phantoms.

The album was composed and produced by Freddy as singer and keyboardist and by his son Chris Delirio as drummer, keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist who often sees him on guitar, bass and backing vocals.

To complete the training are the refined lead guitarist Paolo Oliveri, with over twenty years of record and live experiences and Alessandro Lupo on bass, also a musician with extensive concert and studio activity behind him.

There is no shortage of exceptional guests inside the disc.

Kevin Riddles, the historic bassist of Angel Witch who played bass directly in the same song “Free Man”, a bonus track cover present both on the CD and in the digital version, which he himself chose for this collaboration with Delirio and the Phantoms.

David Smith historic guitarist of Gypsy’s Kiss (first band of Steve Harris of Iron Maiden) on guitar, guest on the same track “Free Man”.

To complete the list of guests who played on the record, Eleonora De Medici, lyrical voice, Lucky Balsamo on guitar, Jos Venturi on bass, Giuseppe Favia and Francesco Noli present in the cover bonus tracks on drums.

Conceptually the texts describe ghosts in a timeless ancestral dimension, souls who never die and who cross the path in this dimension, where everyone carries their own karmic cross, living the experience of this planet. There is talk of stories of life lived in communication with a not always tactile and human dimension, starting from ancestral love to get to the infernal groups opposed to the high and metaphysical world of Hyperuranium. Historical quotes from ancient civilizations where you have to let go of mistakes and recover the best, only in this way can we talk about true evolution and culture. There is no shortage of references to the everyday life lived within Delirio’s Haunted House.

The first album “The Cross” (Black Widow Records) that bore the name Freddy Delirio and the Phantoms, finished Top Album in several foreign newspapers including Legacy Magazine (Germany), iO Pages (Netherlands) etc., led the band to perform as headliners at several festivals including Sbamfest (TO), Leynir Fest (MI) and Junihell (PO).

During the summer of 2021 the Freddy Delirio and The Phantoms DVD “Live at Crazy Bull Café” was released based on the memorable concert in which ours shared the stage with Simonetti’s Goblins on February 22, 2020 in Genoa, the last Italian date before the lockdown.

The split album “The smell of rain” – “I’m beginning to see the darkness” was recently released with the prestigious Norwegian musician Mortiis and Freddy Delirio and the Phantoms where ours participated with a first version of the song “Platinum”.

The album was written and produced by Freddy (vocals, keyboards) and his son Chris Delirio (drums, keyboards, guitars, bass, chorus). The line-up is completed by Paolo Oliveri (lead guitars) and Alessandro Lupo (bass).

Freddy comments: “Delirio And The Phantoms is an evolution of my previous solo project. Now the presence of my son Christian ‘Chris Delirio’ plays a key role in composition, recording, arrangement and production. I feel supported by a true professional. We worked together during every stage of the realisation of ‘Platinum’, from the moment of songwriting to the final production’.

Angel Witch’s bass player Riddles is the special guest on “Free Man”, alongside with David Smith (Gypsy’s Kiss).

Freddy continues: “The album ‘Platinum’ has a varied sound, featuring different sonorities in a dynamic way. The original sound, which is typical of this band, is held together by a common thread in a kind of journey where the themes, sometimes addressed to the metaphysical world, in other cases more historical and in others still more personal, are the result of real feelings and real life“.
