Portuguese BESTA Release First Single/Video ‘Sector Parasita’ from Forthcoming Album

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BESTA. Leave a comment

Sector Parasite is the first single to be released from the upcoming new album Terra Em Desapego by BESTA (feat. members of SINISTRO, REDEMPTUS and defunct WE ARE THE DAMNED), which will be released on August 4th via Lifeforce Records.

Without denying their roots in grindcore the band developed its sound with incorporating old school Death Metal elements and even classical Heavy Metal elements on “Terra Em Desapego“.

“Terra Em Desapego” marks the second longplayer of the Portuguese for LIFEFORCE RECORDS. On the 2019 album “Eterno Rancor”, a cover of the Bad Brains was found in the last place. On the EPs released since then, the group from Lisbon has taken on tracks by Only Living Witness, Napalm Death and Devo. This fits conceivably well, because BESTA have proven to be a band that moves between death’n’grindcore, punk and hardcore.

The seven tracks of “Terra Em Desapego” are above all uncompromising and oppressive. BESTA appear direct and furious at all times, but do not miss out on variety. More melody and atmosphere than on the new album have never been. The Portuguese surprise with playful, sometimes really catchy heavy songs that still sound familiar rough and pleasingly uncomfortable. The more consciousness and metallic basis as well as the clearer production work fit in very well. BESTA continue to sound impulsive and biting, but “Terra Em Desapego” opens up a different approach to the rigorous approach of the Lisbon band. All this does not change anything about the lyrics in the Portuguese mother tongue of the musicians – of course not.

Cover art was done by CVSPE (Arch Enemy, Uniform) and the album was produced by Miguel Tereso (Analepsy, Sinistro).

LYDIA CAN’T BREATHE Release New Single + Official Music Video ‘Please Be Over’

LYDIA CAN’T BREATHE‘s “Please Be Over” was recorded and produced by Andrew Wade and Andy Karpovck at The Audio Compound in Orlando,FL. They are the same producers that worked with Motionless in White, Attila, and A Day To Remember.

Lead singer, Kyle Bolduc recalls, “We wrote the song last minute in the studio. It was the last song we tracked during these sessions. I received a call, so we took a short break from tracking. My friend called me hysterically saying that his longtime girlfriend had broken up with him and that he wanted to kill himself. After about 30 minutes of talking him down, I returned to the session.”

Kyle said he had an idea for the last song. He presented a song basically about the breakup of a couple that has committed unforgivable actions and still love each other but cant stay together.

“We hashed it out and tracked a rough idea then laid down the final version the next day! The band thought this was one of the better songs of the batch and decided to do a music video for it. We teamed up with Marlin Sorrentino and Kal Visuals to create this epic visual for fans. We actually blow up a car during one scenes in the video. The fire from the blaze was as tall as a 2 story house! It’s the craziest thing that the Lydia Can’t Breathe team has achieved in a video shoot… so far.”

A LIFE DIVIDED Release Video for New Single ‘Life Goes On’

The journey continues: The modern metallers A LIFE DIVIDED have released their fourth single “Life Goes On” from the upcoming album “DOWN THE SPIRAL OF A SOUL”, which will be released on July 07 via AFM Records/Soulfood Music.

The heavy rock anthem is a very personal song for singer Plangger: “The song is an advice to my son not to take things too hard. I wish he always manages to break out of the hamster wheel of life, to question the big and small problems sometimes and not to take everything too seriously. Many problems become smaller when we manage to pause regularly and simply zoom out of our everyday cosmos”.

A LIFE DIVIDED, often referred to as the “German Linkin Park”, was founded in 2003. The band around singer Jürgen Plangger (also guitarist for Eisbrecher) has TOP 40 album chart placements, several million streams, plays sold out headlining gigs and has been on tour with other scene greats like Oomph!, Apocalyptica and Mono Inc.

The new album was recorded in the band’s own studios by musical mastermind Erik Damköhler, with mixing and mastering by Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) of Sawdust Studios.

SAUL Announce New Album “This Is It… The End Of Everything” + Share Video ‘A Million Miles’

Iowa hard rock heavyweights SAUL — brothers Blake Bedsaul [lead vocals] and Zach Bedsaul [lead guitar, backup vocals], William McIlravy [bass, backup vocals], and Myles Clayborne [drums] — have announced their new album THIS IS IT… THE END OF EVERYTHING. The album arrives July 28. Pre-order it here.

To herald the album’s announcement, the band has shared the video for first single “A MILLION MILES.” Watch it here.

“The distance between us is no longer measured in inches, feet, or miles,” says Blake about the song. “It’s the void in time between looking up from our screens and locked in a dream. A minimal space we keep for reality. Just a moment to see the difference of where we are, and where we want to be. We can sit across from someone within reach, and be a million miles away transported through our screens.”

The album encompasses a similar theme. Blake shares, “As a whole, we’re losing focus. I feel like the only one to look up and notice. Am I losing my mind or losing touch with the times? It’s a game we can’t win when the rules always change. Marching toward the end of days. This is it… the end of everything.”

The Iowa quartet continues to bring audiences together with a one-two punch of pummeling metallic grooves and towering melodies. Amassing tens of millions of streams and earning acclaim from Revolver, Guitar World, Loudwire, and many more, the group fortify an unbreakable bond with listeners on their second full-length offering, THIS IS IT…THE END OF EVERYTHING [Spinefarm]. For this record, the band collaborated with producer Kile Odell [Motionless In White, Nita Strauss]

“As a society, we’re so glued to our phones and social media,” notes Blake. “When we finally got out of quarantine, we personally needed to take a mental break from it. If you think about it, we don’t even have to talk anymore, since communication happens online. So, step back from social media, get out there, shake hands, and live a little bit. You don’t have to exist through your phone. Capture the moment in your head and tell the story out loud to someone.”

THIS IS IT… THE END OF EVERYTHING TRACK LISTING:
“TOOTH AND NAIL”
“THE LAST PARADE”
“A MILLION MILES”
“THE NEW LOW”
“MORE OF THE SAME”
“NO MERCY”

Saul emerged out of the Midwest in 2017 and tirelessly bulldozed a path to the forefront of modern rock. They notably performed alongside everyone from Motionless In White, Atreyu, August Burns Red, Crown The Empire, Bush, and 10 Years to HELLYEAH and Nonpoint in addition to gracing the stages of festivals, including Rebel Rock, Rock Fest, Rock USA, Inkcarceration, and Blue Ridge Rock Fest with Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, and Slipknot. The group independently landed a bona fide hit in the form of “Brother”— an homage to the co-founders’ late brother Caleb. It marked their first #1 on Sirius/XM Octane in addition to gathering over 9 million Spotify streams and paving the way for their 2020 full-length debut, Rise As Equals. Co-written with David Draiman of Disturbed, “King Of Misery” reeled in 3.7 million Spotify streams, while “Trial By Fire” also surpassed 3 million Spotify streams. Of the former, American Songwriter praised “‘King of Misery’ wasted no time jumping into the heavy mainstream riffs that Saul set out to wrangle,” and Outburn hailed its “futuristic and cinematic video.”

DAYSEEKER Share ‘Homesick’ Video, New Album Out Now

Southern California’s DAYSEEKER dropped their new album Dark Sun last fall via Spinefarm. Get the record, which has been streamed 75 million times since release, here.

The band has shared the video for the gorgeously emotive single “Homesick.” Watch it here.

The deceptively simple video finds the band in performance mode in an expansive space that can barely contain the emotional heft of the lyrics or the melodic power of the song’s instrumentation.

“‘Homesick’ is Dayseeker’s honest attempt at writing something happier,” says singer Rory Rodriguez. “After my father’s passing, I was in a rut for a while and there was just this one person that made me feel like it was okay to smile and breathe through one of the darkest periods of my life. Someone that feels like home.”

Dayseeker remain on the road in support of Dark Sun, with shows selling out in the UK, U.S., Australia, and beyond.

“The UK holds a very special place in our hearts,” the band says. “We haven’t played there as a full band in 8+ years, so seeing that the entire tour is on the verge of selling out is a warm welcome back for Dayseeker.”

Dayseeker are a quiet killer. The band has steadily built a buzz over the past several years — and they have reached a tipping point. Dayseeker built themselves into a scene standout with 2019’s Sleeptalk, which was hailed by Alternative Press as  “a warm and welcome release to higher ground” and as “much needed fresh air into the post-hardcore scene.” The album has gone on to accumulate over XX million streams, and it positioned the band as a formidable force — and one that is primed to take its next big leap. In 2021, the band dropped a deluxe version of Sleeptalk, featuring four reimagined versions of album tracks, which offered fans a fresh and unique take on songs they already love. It also demonstrated the depth and breadth of the band’s creative vision, scope, and possibilities. However, Dark Sun catapulted the band beyond the scene’s stratosphere.
