Modern industrial act 3TEETH have re-entered the conversation of our tortured reality with “Merchant Of The Void.” Released today, the band’s brand-new single is the first in a series of monthly teases leading up to their anticipated new album coming soon via Century Media Records.
As A.I. takes over, banks collapse, climates further spiral out of control and humans grapple with an existential living nightmare, 3TEETH is laying it out straight with a brutal new outlook on track “ Merchant Of The Void,” revealing their first salvo into a new era of sonic exploration.
The track comes alongside a stunning graphic video from one of Hollywood’s leading animators Matteo Santoro (who grew up with 3TEETH frontman Alexis Mincolla)producing a visually epic piece that takes viewers on a space-folding journey into hyper-consumerism on a Lovecraftian scale.
Stream the single here. See the video for “Merchant Of The Void” below.
The gut-punch song pairs the band’s trademark gritty electro-industrial metal alchemy with ruminations on the self-destructive path humanity has been treading on, as described by frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla :
”Amidst the numbing pulse of hypermodernity, the insatiable appetite of data commodification devours our sense of meaning. The undead march of materialism eventually renders the human subject an automaton, desperately grasping for the ephemeral junk 2.0 to fill the abyss of existential emptiness. The self devolves into a mere echo, a ghostly specter caught in the whirlwind of techno-capital acceleration, the very essence of its being devoured by the machinery of its own weaponized desires. If the future eludes your vision, fear not, The Merchant of The Void is standing by and eager to sell it to you. Welcome to the cold descent into the black hole of total absolute commodification. In the words of William S. Burrough ‘The junk merchant doesn’t sell his product to the consumer, he sells the consumer to his product. He does not improve and simplify his merchandise. He degrades and simplifies the client.”
“Merchant of The Void” follows previously released track “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9), both of which hail from 3TEETH’s much-anticipated fourth album, forthcoming via Century Media Records (more details to be announced soon).
For Canada’s The Metal VoiceNeil Turbin spoke to Quiet Riot Bassist Rudy Sarzo at this years ‘Rock for Ronnie concert in the park on May 7, 2023 at Los Encinos park for the Ronnie James Dio Stand up and shout Cancer fund.
Sarzo was asked if there was a new album or new music coning up for Quiet Riot he said, our strategy is to do one song at a time because we have at least two albums that we got to play (live), that’s Metal Health and Condition Critical. That’s the set. And for us to record a new album and have to pick three songs to stick on the set it’s pretty impossible. So why record a whole album, if were just gonna play one song, so right now it’s one song at a time. We have songs in the can already and it’s just a matter of finding the right time to release them. He was then asked if there were any archived songs with Kevin Dubrow or with Frankie Banali, Sarzo replied,” you never know, Alex (Grossi) might find some stuff.”
Rocker ANDREW HAGAR has released his latest single “Systematic Minds” to all major platforms, out since May 5, 2023.
“As we race towards a precipice on the edge of the unknown, few people have ever stopped to question: why? Are we headed in the right direction? Is this destination somewhere we can return from? Could it potentially lead to our demise, as a culture or a species? Between the looming threat of AI, divisive political rhetoric pushing us into the extreme margins of “free” thought, the overwhelming negativity of our attention economy, and of course myriad social issues, it feels at times that we’re watching the decline of western civilization. It’s easy to think we’re teetering on the brink of a potential collapse. Or, perhaps, a revolution,” says Andrew.
He adds, “Regardless of the outcome, we as a society can feel ourselves collectively pushing up against the boundaries of our outlines, ready to burst. The choice then is simple: evolve or die. The trouble comes by virtue of our way of thinking. We have long been conditioned into a systematic ideology, perhaps without our knowledge or consent. Systematic Minds begs the question: why? If nothing else, I hope this song makes you think about the state of our world, our supposed destination, and why we think the way we do.”
Experience molds and shapes the stories we tell. Andrew Hagar’s often unbelievable, always fascinating life informs his smoky rock ‘n’ roll with a hint of rootsy mystique and a heavy dose of Americana-style reality. If Nick Cave came up in Seattle circa 1990, it might sound something like this! Thus far, his journey has twisted and turned from underground MMA fights in college and a stint as a trainer to cutting his teeth live by sharing the stage with none other than the legendary Kris Kristofferson. After earning acclaim courtesy of Consequence of Sound and more, all of these experiences bleed into his 2023 independent debut EP, Limited Edition Psycho.
“I’ve had an incredibly crazy and unique life, and I hope you can hear it in what I’m writing,” he muses. “I pull from all of those experiences. A lot of people are just chasing pleasure. For me, it goes back to the martial arts mentality: you continue to challenge yourself and grow. My goal is to convey the lessons I’ve learned in life through the songs.”
Andrew was quite literally born into music. As the son of Sammy Hagar, his earliest memories included birthdays on the tour bus and dad carrying him out on stage to the roar of the crowd. However, it would take a while for music to become his personal focal point—he had to live first. Instead, he first gravitated to martial arts.
Inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he begged mom and dad for karate classes. “It never stopped,” he smiles. He studied Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu at just 15-years-old. While in the middle of college, he fought in a series of amateur fights known as “smokers.” A potentially career ending knee injury, stacked class schedule, and full-time corporate job derailed his burgeoning fight career through.
However, he never strayed too far from combat sports, covering UFC as a journalist for Sherdog and eventually landing a job as a Muay Thai trainer at Werdum Fight Team in Venice Beach under former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum. For the next decade, he also trained actors from television shows such as The Americans, as well as Vida Guerra and more.
Along the way, he eventually traded Guitar Hero for the real thing, teaching himself how to play on YouTube before fronting a short-lived two-man punk band. Not long after, he launched a folk duo with Kelly Kristofersson and toured Scotland with her father Kris.
“When I stepped off stage for the first time, the feeling was indescribable,” he admits. “I thought it was something I could do for the rest of my life. I had never considered music would make me so happy. As much as loved fighting, it didn’t give me the same feeling that playing live did. I decided to do everything I could to make that feeling a reality in my life.” Teaming up with Trev Lukather behind the board as producer and co-writer, he assembled Limited Edition Psycho over the course of 2021. Nodding to influences such as Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails, and Stone Temple Pilots, as well as, classic folk, he infuses eloquent lyricism into grunge-inflected grooves.
“I did a lot of my formative growing outside of the public lens,” he notes. “I’m bringing something more confident and fully formulated to the table as an artist, because I waited until the right time to do this.”
Following singles such as “Judgement Day” and “Cold Knife Karma,” he paved the way for the EP with “Redlight Appetite.”Consequence of Sound hailed the latter as “a glammed-out rocker that unabashedly aims for a massive stadium sound.” Elsewhere, “Slave To Your Name” builds from airy verses into a disarmingly catchy refrain, “Dancing with a ball and chain, high on cheap cocaine, nothing’s changed, I’m a slave to your name.”
“It’s one of the more personal songs,” he states.
Then, there’s “Systematic Minds.” Ethereal guitars glide over a robust beat as his voice rings out on another magnetically massive melodic chant.
“More than ever, people’s opinions are not their own,” he notes. “A lot of people won’t even post something online unless they know everyone else will agree. They’re not living their lives for themselves; they’re living their lives for others. It’s worse than it’s ever been. The song is about how we’re all brainwashed into a certain style of thinking. We’re capable of controlling our own thoughts though. You have to master your mind, or else you become a slave to it.”
s the project stares down addiction, isolation, depression, and darkness, the title perfectly hints at Andrew’s headspace.
“‘Limited Edition Psycho’ means we all think we’re special even though we are all for the most part truly alike,”__ he goes on. “Everyone has the same issues, so these are mine.”_
In the end, Andrew’s story remains relatable through and through, because it’s real.
“When you listen to my music, I hope you walk away with a different perspective,” he leaves off. “I also want you to feel a sense of belonging. I’m just a guy who’s working really hard to embody all of the values I appreciate in the world. I try to be 1% better every day. I want to be able express myself in the songs and bring them to anybody who wants to hear what I have to say.”
Andrew Hagar appeared alongside his father, Sammy Hagar, on the music docuseries, FAMILY LEGACY, now available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and Glass Entertainment Group, the new series will feature interviews with the children of legendary musicians.

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released the title track from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released to all major platforms via FRAME|WORK in the fall of 2023. The band is in the early stages of planning a fall run of shows on the west coast.
The boys in The Intemperate Sons traveled to CA to record this track at MAPS Studio at the direction of Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise). This is the first time, and definitely not the last, having Amir and Ryan at the producer helm and was an amazing collaborative experience. Amir joined Jake and Max on guitar to contribute to the track as well.
The Intemperate Sons shot a video to support the release at Prophecy Film Studio that will be released on May 12th, 2023.
“Game of Keep Away” is the story of the struggle to dig out of hole created by one’s own destructive behavior. The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, and Denny Sanders at The Label Group.
The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together.
Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”
Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.
Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.
Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.
Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,” and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.
Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”
The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.
After a successful show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, the band plans to do some regional shows in Texas and then head out West this year as well.

THE SILENT RAGE have released a lyric-video for ‘Another Fallen Dreamland’ featuring Stu Block (Into Eternity & ex Iced Earth), third single and second video taken from the new album ‘Nuances of Life’ to be released on May 26th through Scarlet Records.
video by Stefano Mastronicola
“The funny story behind “Another Fallen Dreamland” is that during the pre-production I had made up my mind to set up this song as a bonus track. And that was because it was a song that I originally composed back in the early days of the band but it never managed to be released. Therefore, I always thought that the only way for it to be released was as a bonus track. But before we even started recording it, the rest of the guys in the band really seemed to love it and they convinced me somehow to include it on the main tracklist, haha! As a track to me, it was a straight power metal crusher of the golden era of the genre, getting my mind into acts like Edguy, Stratovarius, Brainstorm etc.“
“What I really wanted, was to boost this song even more with the addition of a guest vocalist, like the way we did on our first album, “The Deadliest Scourge”, with the song “Sin Of A Pilgrim” with Apollo Papathanasio (Spiritual Beggars, ex-Firewind) featured there. We asked a few singers to see if they were interested and we managed to make the call and finalise the participation of Stu Block (Into Eternity, ex-Iced Earth), a singer whom I really love and enjoy listening to. I definitely believe that the duet here made a massive hit performance, making it a massive head banging tune! But what I also over-enjoy in this track are Stamatis Katsafados pounding drumming and the solos on it”, comments Nikos Siglidis.
“My idea here was to have Stu Block and me, be the inner voices of the realisation of truth in someone’s head, anyone that has been brainwashed or manipulated by people in power, by organisations, by standards of society, by people of influence making that person chase after dreams that are not their own, constantly trying to reach a status or an image or something that is only an unattainable construct, instead of simply following their own thoughts and dreams in life”, Michalis Rinakakis adds.
Produced by Fotis Benardo (Nightfall, Septicflesh, Melechesh) at Devasoundz Studios (Athens) and mastered by George Nerantzis (Pain Of Salvation, Abbath, Nightrage), “Nuances Of Life” will be released in the following formats:
-vinyl (limited edition) -digipak CD -digital
“Nuances Of Life” tracklist: 1 The Serpent Lord 2 Code of Destruction 3 Carve Your Rage 4 Crows Fly Back 5 Another Fallen Dreamland (feat. Stu Block/Into Eternity & ex Iced Earth) 6 Scarlet Dawn (feat. Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin/Jag Panzer & The Three Tremors) 7 The Man In The Mirror 8 Exhaling Fear 9 Ghost Of A Wayward God 10 Black Monday (feat. Bob Katsionis/Stray Gods & ex Firewind) 11 Nuances Of Life 12 Defy The Headhunters (CD bonus track)
Scarlet Records stated:
“The Silent Rage is finally returning to deliver their flawless, hefty, fist-pumping melodic power metal.
“Nuances Of Life” combines the characteristic sound of classic metal, filled with blazing riffs and impressive melodies, combined with catchy and blistering vocal lines – courtesy of extraordinary new frontman Michalis Rinakakis.
Lyrically wise, “Nuances Of Life” deals with spreading out the deepest, well-hidden human emotions: tales about mighty heroes and distant lands as well as everyday issues that leave a deep scar in our hearts.
Get ready to a non-stop exciting headbanging experience!”
The Silent Rage will support Kamelot on the 7th of May at the Fuzz Club (Athens, Greece)
TYGERS OF PAN TANG have released their new studio album “Bloodlines”, out now.
Never a man to take what he has for granted and having led TYGERS OF PAN TANG since their first album through a number of line-up changes, Robb Weir recognises that the Tygers line-up that recorded “Bloodlines” are probably the strongest since they were at the forefront of the NWOBHM. The original band, who made four albums for MCA Records, survived the unexpected departure of Jess Cox to run Neat Records and later John Sykes, who was bound for Thin Lizzy and a multi-million seller with Whitesnake. What they didn’t survive was their greatest commercial success with the album “The Cage”. However, Weir, ever the optimist, formed a new version of the band to both play the old material and write songs that would represent this ‘new’ Tygers. The backbone of the band – Craig Ellis on drums, together with Jack Meille on vocals, have now been together for considerably longer than the first Tygers and were recently joined by Francesco Marras on guitar, and Huw Holding on bass. Francesco arrived via solo and session work that has made him a go-to guitarist, and Huw has history of working with NWOBHM bands such as Blitzkrieg, Avenger and Holosade.
Recording an EP (“A New Heartbeat”) to celebrate their re-signing with Mighty Music, the Tygers demonstrated just how potent the new lineup was becoming. Re-recording two songs from their first album to complement the two new songs on the EP gave listeners the chance to evaluate Francesco Marras’ contribution, and the reaction was entirely positive. Following this with a tour that took in six countries across Europe both Francesco and Huw have been amazed at the reaction to the new line-up. Fans old and new have turned up to lend their support to the continuing story of the Tygers.
So, here we are. The band releases their new album, “Bloodlines”. Recorded entirely by the musicians who comprise the current line-up, it is a tour de force of what made the NWOBHM such a potent force in music. The songs, all self-penned, successfully demonstrate just how well the core of Weir, Meille and Ellis have blended with the new boys. Danish producer Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Moonspell, Sick Of It All) has brought a contemporary edge to the traditional Tygers sound and immediately bonded with the band, recognising just what it was they were looking for. Still metal at its core, the melodic vocals and exemplary guitar solos ensure that the songs are worthy rivals to the very best of their back catalog.
“Bloodlines” is out today on LP (black and red vinyl, with the latter being limited to 500), CD and digital formats via Mighty Music. Orders are available here.
