Against The Daylight is the first single from the new DÉCEMBRE NOIR album Your Sunset | My Sunrise, which is set to be released on October 13th via Lifeforce Records.

The lyric video was created by Jerkka Perälä / Soft Neon Audiovisual, who is also responsible for the visual works for his own band ATLASES, also in Lifeforce Records.

As for the direction of their new album, DÉCEMBRE NOIR reveal the following: “Your Sunset | My Sunrise” is the cry for inner peace set to music. A heavy heart full of tears, which threatens to plunge its bearer into the abyss at any moment. Even if this means giving up oneself, in the end only the long-awaited silence counts. It is the escape on the wings of addiction from the battlefield of never-ending depression.

The approach of the band from Thuringia, Germany also reaches deep on their fifth full-time album – both lyrically and musically. This is already known from the previous records “The Renaissance Of Hope” (2020), “Autumn Kings” (2018), “Forsaken Earth” (2016) and “A Discouraged Believer” (2014). DÉCEMBRE NOIR act consistently atmospheric, gloomily tuned and open to interpretation. The underlying thoughts, emotions and intentions of the songs of the quintet are not always clearly determinable. And they don’t have to be. For the nuances and forebodings set to music have a special significance in the German band’s playing.

What once started between doom and death metal, has developed over the years and releases to an independent, organic gloomy sound, which achieves its ominous effect space and its captivating fascination quite independently of liking or style questions. On “Your Sunset | My Sunrise”, produced by HEAVEN SHALL BURN’s Alexander Dietz at his Chemical Burn Studio, DÉCEMBRE NOIR again rely on melancholic as well as melodically addressed pieces that stand completely on their own and therefore captivate because they are presented so heavy, dark and atmospheric.

KARPATHIAN RELICT Release Second Video ‘The Masochist’ from Upcoming Album

KARPATHIAN RELICT (Ukraine/Poland, based in Sanok, PL) was formed as Orthodox in 2006 by Bogdan Lewicki and Andrzej Czujko. Under that name “Forever Not Yet” was recorded in 2009 – and later released in early 2011. After 2 years of stagnation, where Bogdan and Andrzej moved to Poland – Orthodox was reformed in 2013 as KARPATHIAN RELICT with Patryk Olbert (bass) and Adrian Mięsowicz (vocals). Later, they released “Beyond The Over” (2017) and re-released “Forever Not Yet” (2018). In the next few years – their journey continues – creating new music, and playing with several amazing musicians – to finally settle down with Bartek Oleniacz as a guitarist, and later on with Mateusz Baczek on a bass position.

Right now, band is preparing to release new studio album titled “Never Be After“. Third album will be released on September 9, 2023 via MusikÖ_Eye and Metal Exhumator as digital and CD. Pre-order here.

The album will contain 8 tracks in which the mainstream is our preferred style of death metal music. In th song “The Moth”, as a guest Eliza Kuźnik (KSU) plays on violin.

Drums were recorded by Piotr “Koła” Dorotniak at Stodoła Studio (Poland). Music was mixed and mastered by Adrian Mięsowicz (Tribe Five Studio) who was responsible for sound on live show recorded for 44th anniversary (BluRay 4K) of the oldest Polish punk rock band KSU. Cover artwork and layout by Michał “Xaay” Loranc (God Dethroned, Kamelot, Nile).

Band commentary: “There will be admixtures of technical death metal and progressive music. In a few places, there will also be instrumental interludes on instruments not often found in extreme music, but we will not reveal the exact details. The new album is a reflection of what we like to listen to ourselves, and since each of us has completely different tastes, we tried to combine it in some way. We hope that the new album will give listeners a lot of fun discovering what is recorded on it and will make them want to come back to it again and again and again and each time it will be a new experience in communing with our music and new discoveries.”

Celebrating the first birthday of their much-acclaimed, sixth studio album Born Demon (released on October 21, 2022 via Drakkar Entertainment, order HERE), Norwegian trve heavy metal doom force SAHG has announced the release of an upcoming live EP, titled “Live Demons“, due out on October 13, 2023! Featuring four blistering tracks of the band’s latest album, “Live Demons” was recorded live in concert at Kvarteret in Bergen, Norway, on October 21, 2022. Today, SAHG are premiering a new track taken off their upcoming EP, the heavy-as-hell “Fall Into The Fire (Live)”!

“This was recorded on the opening night of our ‘Norwegian Demon Tour’, and on the night of the album release of ‘Born Demon’. It was such a blast to walk on in front of a packed home crowd and blast straight into ‘Fall Into The Fire’.“ SAHG guitarist & vocalist Olav Iversen comments.“I can still remember my heart racing as the front banner dropped and we were face to face with the room packed with cheering people. I think the recording and the video really catches the intensity that was there that evening, it was an electric vibe in there! You can notice the tension in the performance, we were quite on edge at that point. But that results in some great live heavy metal energy, and I think this version of the song rolls really well.”

Entering the Norwegian metal scene in 2006 as a classic doom band, wasn’t necessarily a recipe for success. Black metal was still the big thing coming from Norway, and there wasn’t much space for bands from other subgenres. Even with Gorgoroth members King ov Hell and Kvitrafn in the line-up, adding a touch of blackness, it wasn’t very likely that SAHG would get an instant break-through. But, the band took the heavy music scene by storm with their blistering, chart-breaking debut Sahg I.

Throughout the following decade, SAHG released five critically acclaimed albums, and played several tours and festivals across Europe, the United States, India and Asia to date. They have toured as support act for bands like Motörhead, W.A.S.P., Celtic Frost, Opeth, Clutch, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir and Enslaved to name just a few, and appeared at prestigous festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summerbreeze, Sweden Rock Festival, Hard Rock Hell, Tons of Rock, Inferno Festival and Beyond the Gates among many more. To this day, SAHG has always stayed trve to their doom, gritty stoner and heavy metal roots, and still holds the throne as Norway’s high guardians of doomed heavy metal. They are the bastard sons of Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Pentagram and Judas Priest. Classic heavy metal for the new age, with a desire for the occult, aversion for religion, and a gloomy gaze into the inevitable apocalypse, all served with a cold bite of Norwegian Blackness.
