Blackened death metal machine based in Trondheim, Norway NEXORUM have unveiled the official video for “Elegy Of Hate”. The song is taken from their sophomore album “Tongue Of Thorns” which will be released on May 19th 2023 via Non Serviam Records.

With haunting melodies, crushing riffs, and guttural vocals, this track unleashes a sonic assault on the senses that will leave listeners reeling.

“The lyrics tell a tale of despair and rage, of a soul consumed by hatred and driven to the brink of madness. As the relentless beats and thunderous drums build to a fever pitch, the listener is pulled ever deeper into the abyss, until they are consumed by the fury of our music. Brace yourself for an unforgettable journey into the heart of darkness, as ‘Elegy of Hate’ takes you on a terrifying ride through a twisted and tormented mind,” comments the band.

Events of the past years led NEXORUM down a much darker path, emphasizing the elements of black metal in the band’s music. As the second horseman of Revelations is currently pushing the world closer and closer to the brink of nuclear holocaust, Famine is sure to follow. Now the end times draw near, NEXORUM‘s upcoming album, “Tongue Of Thorns”, will serve as a sonic feast to stave off Famine. A fitting soundtrack when the Day of Wrath finally is upon us.

Greek AETHERIAN Return with New Single ‘Army of Gaia’ from Forthcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 17, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: AETHERIAN. Leave a comment

“Army of Gaia” is the first single to be released from the upcoming second full-length album “At Storm’s Edge” of the melodic death metallers AETHERIAN, which was released on the 14th of July 2023 via Lifeforce Records. The song has a warlike atmosphere where people regardless of gender and race are called to rise and fight for mother Earth as a whole, against the opressive and destructive ruling class.

Recorded at Devasoundz studios and produced by Fotis Benardo (Nightfall, ex- Septic Flesh). The painting used for the artwork is called “Les Fleurs du Mal” created by the French artist Yoann Lossel, while the new logo of the band was made by Christophe Szpajdel and signifies the start of a new era for AETHERIAN. “Army of Gaia” is acompanied by a lyric video made by Manster Design.

“During the age of abundance and ambition, where disposability is the norm, their hysterical consumption overshadows our utterdestruction. From the fringes of society we shall rise, to bring about the downfall of their corruption.“

In melo-death circles, AETHERIAN’s debut album, released at the end of 2017, is considered a surprise success. On the one hand, “The Untamed Wilderness” has attracted attention because hardly anyone had the Greeks on their radar. On the other hand, the quintet from Athens, active since 2013, has convinced with a sovereign debut that was equal to Nordic scene greats like INSOMNIUM, DARK TRANQUILLITY and OMNIUM GATHERUM.

The positive reception of their debut serves as an impetus for the southern European group to continue to improve and present an even stronger sophomore album. AETHERIAN do not rest on their laurels. No sooner said than done.

In 2016 they recorded a new single alongside a video clip called “The Rain” which drew attention and signified
the beginning of their journey. ”The Rain” made a huge impact in a very short time on social media and the underground scene, currently reaching 3.5 million views on YouTube.

Listening to “At Storm’s Edge”, one notices several things: the musicians individually act both more precisely and more playfully. At the same time, the group play sounds even more exciting and distinctive. Especially the majestic melodic guitar leads, the driving drumming and the throaty growls stand out.

In the compositional area AETHERIAN apply their storyteller approach variable and song-serving. Despite considerable playing times, the album’s eight tracks come across as focused and urgent. Acoustic accents and a fine feeling for special atmospheres additionally distinguish the playing of the five Greeks.

The second full length of the band from Athens is called “At Storm’s Edge” and was recorded at Devasoundz studios and produced by Fotis Benardo (Nightfall, ex- Septic Flesh). AETHERIAN are not content with a spectator role on the sidelines, but pushes forward into the center in every respect and goes into full swing. Melo-Death fans beware – don’t be caught off guard again!

FORE (Feat. Inhuman Condition Members) Announce Second Album “Skin”, Reveal Artwork + Teaser

In the summer of 2020, the leaders of the world got together and decided that the only hope for humanity would be the formation of a new punk rock band…featuring extreme metal musicians! And thus, FORE was born. Their first album “Hombres” was released that August, with 2 singles released the following year (including a punk version of Alice In Chains’ “Man In The Box”). Today, the band announces its second album, simply titled: “Skin”.

“Skin” strikes its listener from first glance. Once your eyes set on the gorgeous artwork done by Abbie “Stabby” Rial (and yes, it absolutely may or may not be a spoof of a superb Swedish grind album…), you will be sucked into the tractor-beam of blazing guitars, acrobatic bass, stampeding drums, and the masterful blanket of harmonious vocal arrangements.  Clocking in at 29 minutes, “Skin” offers up a refreshing slab of melody-fueled hardcore punk.

The group, which is now a power-trio, features Brian “The Canadian Glenn Hughes” Stephenson (Umbilicus) on vocals and now handling bass duties, Jeramie Kling (Inhuman Condition, Venom Inc) on drums, and Taylor Nordberg (Inhuman Condition, Deicide) on guitar.

The first single from the album, “Wild Out” will be out April 28th, along with the track-listing and pre-order information.  In the meantime, FORE’s debut album “Hombres” is available at forepunk.bandcamp.com

“We’re all just wearing skins.”

ROYAL THUNDER Announce New Album “Rebuilding The Mountain”, Share New Single + Video ‘Fade’

Atlanta-based rockers, ROYAL THUNDER, are proud to announce their fourth studio album,‘Rebuilding The Mountain’, which will see a June 16, 2023 release on Spinefarm. The upcoming full-length is the trio’s first studio release in six years, dating back to 2017’s ‘Wick’ LP.

Addressing some of the creative drivers surrounding their new album, guitarist Josh Weaver says:

“It was really a special time writing and working on this record. There were a lot of hardships we had prior to the pandemic and during, as everyone experienced. The band dissolved and toxic behavior became a priority over the music, addiction being the number one factor for things falling apart. We reconnected with our drummer, Evan Diprima, during the pandemic. We agreed that we needed to get our priorities straight and do the band uncompromisingly right, as in right for us. There was a huge void in us, not playing. We started writing our album immediately. We surrendered our heart and soul to each song. It felt good to work hard and create, to have what felt like a second chance to be a band again. We are thankful for the music and the healing it has brought us. We hope that the music will be a source of hope, inspiration, and healing to all that hear it.”

To commemorate the announcement of ‘Rebuilding The Mountain’, Royal Thunder have dropped the second single off the record, titled “Fade”.

Speaking about the new track, lead vocalist/bassist Mlny Parsonz shares,

“’Fade’ is a reminder to me that despite the exchange of positive and negative energy, we can heal all of our connections. We don’t have to live with our pain, we have the power to change how we interact with it and others.”

Watch below the Music Video for “Fade”.

Pre-Order the album HERE

‘Rebuilding The Mountain’ Track List;
1) Drag Me
2) The Knife
3) Now Here No Where
4) Twice
5) Pull
6) Live To Live
7) My Ten
8) Fade
9) The King
10) Dead Star

Second chances in music—as in life—are rare. In a gated ecosystem that is set up to prevent even first chances, getting a do-over hardly ever happens. Perhaps no one in 2023 appreciates that more than the members of ROYAL THUNDER. After losing a key member and eventually collapsing entirely under the weight of excess, the beloved Georgia trio have reunited and returned with their first album in six years.

For vocalist/bassist Mlny Parsonz, guitarist Josh Weaver and drummer Evan Diprima, the title of their fourth record tells the tale: ‘Rebuilding the Mountain’. For Diprima, who left the band in early 2018, it’s a long-awaited homecoming. Weaver and Parsonz reconnected with Diprima long-distance at the height of the pandemic in 2020. They spent about a year exchanging demos and song ideas online before finally getting in the same room together to write this album.

Recorded at West End Sound in Atlanta, ‘Rebuilding the Mountain’ was engineered by Tom Tapley and Miles Landrum and co-produced by ROYAL THUNDER and Tom Tapley. It marks the first time the band has recorded live in the studio.

It’s a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that’s dedicated to studying the band’s creativity. While they have the same fervor as any other fandom, there’s still a notable difference,” while Metal Hammer called them “the most exciting band in metal right now.
