Bangalore Choir has signed a worldwide deal with El Puerto Records.

David Reece has revived his former cult band and will release the new album through the pirate label El Puerto Records, which has literally landed a real “big fish”! Reece has also brought his longtime collaborator Andy Susemihl (ex-U.D.O., ex-Sinner…) back on board. The new album is set to be released in 2026!

If the Paramount+ documentary “Nöthin’ But a Good Time” is to be believed, BANGALORE CHOIR is arguably the last great band of the golden Sunset Strip era, which produced bands like Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, and Poison. Despite all the scandals that ultimately brought that musical era to an end, many people still long for the days when the heart of heavy metal beat in Los Angeles. David Reece has taken this heart back into his hands and breathed new life into it—much to the delight of Bangalore Choir fans worldwide—because even grunge couldn’t completely erase the lightheartedness and joy of that era.

Italian black metal one man horde Hesperia has just announced the new album Picenum (True Marchigian Black Metal Renaissance), which will be released on 28th August via Hammerheart Records. Picenum (True Marchigian Black Metal Renaissance) is the natural continuation of Fra Li Monti Sibillini, expanding its concept to the entire Marche region (the title Picenum indicates the ancient name for a large part of this region). The album is set mostly in the late Middle Ages but also at the beginning of the Renaissance (here highlighted in its darker sides, experienced through the darkness of the region).

After a brief intro about the region’s ancient origins, the album is divided into three parts:

• The first is dedicated to the history and the very dark legends of the region Marche: the Da Varano Lords who rebelled against the church by joining the Cursed League in 1375; the history and legend of the Rocca di Pitino (Pitino Fortress) and its deconsecrated church and cemetery; the history and legend of the very dark Roccaccia (The Ugly Fortress) and its warlord necromancer, a servant of the devil.

• The second is dedicated to the folklore and legends of my region: lu lupu mannà (the Marchigian werewolf), the Mazzamurello (a dark Marchigian sprite), the Sdrega (the Marchigian witch), before returning once again to the Sibilline Mountains… In this part, Hesperus’ grandmother’s voice (R.I.P.) narrates these folklore legends a couple of times (she knew quite a few). 

• The third and longest part is, in fact, a continuation that closes the circle with the previous album, and the part is “Ritorno fra li monti Sibillini” (Return to the Sibilline Mountains), with two tracks focusing on the goat-fairies and the Sibylla, and another two tracks that speak of the geographical novel of the Chevalier De la Sale, a real  historical figure who was tasked with exploring the Sibilline Mountains and understanding what was inside the Sibylla’s cave (thus, not a knight from an epic poem like in the previous album); he truly met the inhabitants of Montemonaco (Mons Daemoniacus) who led him to the vestibule of the Sibylla’s cave (on the summit of Monte Sibilla) and told him numerous stories of those who entered the cave, including that of a German knight who returned because he was not forgiven by the Church and remained there… forever (the last track: the final 12’ suite).

Stylistically, the album has many similarities with the previous record (medieval black metal in the vein of ‘90s) but adds some Renaissance parts and some ‘80s proto black metal passages. As you will notice, there are folk/ambient interludes as in the previous album, but they are not on separate tracks; they are at the end of each track (incorporated into the tracks even if they appear in the tracklist).

Off the back of their sold-out concert at London’s Islington Garage on Saturday April 11, and winning the “Young Artist of the Year” award for the second year in a row at the UK Blues Awards 2026, Kent blues rock trio The Zac Schulze Gang are pleased to announce their concert at Brighton’s Hope & Ruin on November 14th is sold out. The band have now confirmed their support acts for their November 2026 UK tour.

The main support on all November dates are Whisky Flowers. The band are best known for their explosive live shows and their signature blend of 70’s classic blues rock and modern alternative influences. Helsinki-based modern metalcore band Ashes of Perishing released a new single, “Voidwalker”, via Inverse Records. “Voidwalker” continues the narrative introduced by the previous single, “Rapture.” It is a descent into the core of humanity’s collapse and uncontrollable chaos. A world where reality fractures and fear consumes everything, leaving only a fall into emptiness behind. The song paints a picture of a society falling apart in our hands, where hope crumbles under the weight of silence. “Voidwalker” carries the listener toward an inevitable collapse, where the void calls by name.

“Voidwalker” is the voice of a moment in which everything has already been lost.

BIOGRAPHY:
At the end of 2021, a new band emerged in Helsinki, and their name was Ashes of Perishing. With a lineup that brought together the raw energy and creative talents of five musicians, this Finnish quintet quickly set their sights on creating powerful music.

Ashes of Perishing consists of Philipp on bass, Joonas and Valtteri on guitars, Olli on drums and Oskar as the vocalist. Oskar joined the band in the summer of 2024, bringing a fresh dynamic and powerful vocal presence. United by their shared love for heavy, melodic, and emotionally charged music, Ashes of Perishing was ready to carve their path forward in the metal scene.
