AMARANTHE Announce New Growl Vocalist, Drop Fresh Single ‘Damnation Flame’

It’s getting hot out there: Swedish modern metal heroes AMARANTHE deliver the soundtrack for a fiery festival summer with the release of their new single ‘Damnation Flame’ today! With its symphonic touch and uplifting chorus, the band once again showcases their outstanding songwriting skills while maintaining their image as Sweden’s most exciting metal export.

‘Damnation Flame’ doesn’t only mark the start of some hot live shows this summer but also introduces AMARANTHE‘s new vocalist Mikael Sehlin to their internationally growing fanbase. Olof continues:

RAINING NAILS Sign with Rockshots Records for Debut Album “Human Deeds”

Rockshots Records announces their signing of Italy’s RAINING NAILS ft. members of Eternal Silence, Fallen Arise, Oracle Sun, and Sound Storm for the release of the debut album “Human Deeds” in 2023.

Catchy, aggressive, heavy, and powerful, but also melodic, the band’s first full-length will feature 10 tracks of power and symphonic-influenced heavy metal. It was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by bassist Massimiliano Flak at Evolution Recording Studios in Turin (Italy) www.evolutionstudios.it, with album artwork and booklet designed by Caio Caldas at www.cadiesart.com based on a concept from Raining Nails.

“I think and hope that this album will be received with curiosity by future listeners, we are musicians from different bands and we each put our own ideas and origins into this project, making it an interesting recipe. We feel that all the songs on this album are singles but having to choose a couple of singles, we decided on Anthem and Queen Of Thorns will be released prior to the record’s official release date. I think not only fans of classic heavy metal will really like them.” adds vocalist Marika Vanni.

“Human Deeds” was composed over a couple of months and conceptually talks about the bad situations of the world, but also keeps a light of hope for the future.

Dark singer-songwriter act THE DEVIL’S TRADE is now releasing the third new track, taken from the upcoming album “Vidékek vannak idebenn” which will be released on July 14, 2023 via Season of Mist.

“Clear Like the Wind” is now streaming on YouTube HERE.

Dávid Makó comments on the track: “In the last three years, as most of us can likely relate, I experienced such lows where I found nothing but raw emptiness, the inability to create or to do anything other than just trying to exist. I started working on Clear Like The Wind during one of the short periods when I slowly got a little better and was able to find the need to grab the guitar and see what would happen. These moments were like a reset so it is not a surprise for me that this song reaches way back to the world of my first album “Those Miles We Walked Alone”.“

For ‘Vid​é​kek vannak idebenn’, Makó leaned heavier on electronic textures. You could hear the added impact on the album’s first single, which is shrouded in synths that shift like smoke over a mountain. But he also brought in his old friend and former bandmate  Gáspár Binder, whose dark and stormy drumming sets off the clanging explosions of the title track.

Athens based Symphonic Metallers FALLEN ARISE are currently in the studio recording their new full-length album. The band has issued a new studio update video, check it out below.

The band shared:
“Goodmorning friends! This is a new short video where Gus and Spyros give a sample of the making of our next album. The album is in the composition phase, we are collecting the music themes we have written and making them into songs. This album will be a collective work from all the band members who are already working hard on it.”

English alternative rock group HAUNT THE WOODS are overjoyed to announce their second album, ‘Ubiquity’, to be released 29th September via Spinefarm.

In celebration of the news, the magical quartet have revealed their new single “Gold”.

With elements as disparate as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, The Mars Volta, Queen and beyond, HAUNT THE WOODS are a curiously unique band.

In the deepest reaches of the English countryside there is a sublime sound emanating from the landscape, and its name is HAUNT THE WOODS. Timely and yet oddly timeless, this surprisingly youthful quartet span musical decades and worlds.

Recently signed with Spinefarm, it won’t be long before you hear plenty more from these musical mavericks, and with good reason. Formed in the hinterlands between Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall, HAUNT THE WOODS deftly interweave alt rock, folk, prog and pop with an epic level of pomp and poetic elegance that suggests a far longer tenure than their young years suggest. There are tips of the hat to Queen and Muse, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, and a sprinkled-in tinge of Beatles-loving pop sensibility and Manchester Orchestra-esque poignancy: HAUNT THE WOODS have that rare ability to conjure legacy while creating a bold sound that is newly their own.
