Italian multi-genre producer, musician, and vocalist BECKO, teams up with post-hardcore artist Tired Violence in the new Emo, Rock single “REB00T MYSELF.”
The seventh installment of his upcoming ’90s-inspired concept album Present Day // Present Time with “REB00T MYSELF” continues the ominous trek through one man’s mind in a future dystopian society that’s running into the ground. An enigmatic fusion of post-hardcore, rock, metal, and alternative, with emo thrown in the mix the track, showcases Becko‘s talents as a producer with finely tuned brutal vocals, intertwined with synthesizers, drums, and thrashing guitars for an aggressive yet introspective soundscape.
Featuring a screaming vocal performance from Tired Violence layered over Becko’s own combative vocals and lyrics “REB00T MYSELF” is a journey of rebuilding, remaking, and restoring.
“As a lot of this concept album ‘Present Day // Present Time’ the song is a deep conversation with the inside self,” explains Becko. “It’s when you understand that you need to change to be a better you and you will follow into the darkness to destroy your personality and re-create a new self like you are a robot or a machine, rebooting yourself.“
Marco Calanca of post-hardcore band Hopes Die Last, created Becko as a solo project, uniting influences of EDM, Hip-Hop, Industrial, and Emo-Rock. With previous releases under his belt with labels ranging from Warner Italy and Universal Italy, to Monstercat, Lowly Palace, and Smash the House since 2014, Becko found a new home in early 2020, signing a multi-album deal with the independent, artist-owned/operated USA-based electronic-rock label FiXT, founded by genre-pioneering artist & producer Klayton (Celldweller, Circle of Dust). In 2020, Becko released the full-length album INNER SELF, as a triumphant fusion of trap & metal. In 2021 Becko released a flurry of singles including “Darkest Days” which was produced by Mike Shinoda all on the path leading up to the release of his second full-length trap-metal album with FiXT, You Are (Not) Alone, which dropped in early 2022. Becko introduced his latest 90s-inspired concept album Present Day // Present Time with the release of “Home” and continues to build towards the full album release in 2023.
Tired Violence, the solo project of Richmond, VA based musician Tyler Morris, aims to revitalize the sound of yesterday’s post-hardcore and bridge the gap between generations of alternative music fans. Combining the familiar sounds of pioneers such as Underoath, Saosin, and Attack Attack! with modern production and style, Tired Violence invokes a sense of nostalgia while never falling out of style or rehashing formulaic soundscapes or structure.
Tired Violence is on a mission to prove that post-hardcore and metalcore were never a phase, but a way of life and a sound that’s here to stay.
CELESTIAL SCOURGE is a brutal/technical death metal band from Norway founded by Stian Gundersen during the pandemic. The band features members from well known acts from Norway such as BLOOD RED THRONE, DECEPTION, RUUN and ARVAS.
The band draws influence from a wide range of death metal bands while injecting melodies and progressive elements to create their own frantic sound.
The debut of thrashers DEIMOS’ DAWN will be titled “Anthem Of The Lost” and will be released on 14 April on MDD Records.
The Berliners, who been “searching for the perfect thrash metal song” have found already in 2019 the perfect voice for this intention in germanys flagship growler Marc Grewe (ex-Morgoth) and offer now 45 minutes of solid and classic thrash, which may seem unusual in view of Grewe’s musical vita, but is convincing from the very first note. Ex-Sodom guitarist Andy Brings was so excited with the quartet’s concept and music that he not only produced Grewe’s vocals, but also contributed almost all the lyrics to the album.
For the final production, the band went into the studio of Corny Rambadt (Sodom, Disbelief, a.o.) The first sounds have been available with “Deathstar Splanged Banner”on the band’s YouTube channel for some time now, another taster of the album will be available soon!
The first glimpse of the cover artwork you get enclosed. “Anthem Of The Lost” will be released on CD and vinyl. A record release show is already being planned and will take place on 08 April in Braunschweig. More infos will be available in the next few days. Be prepared!

Finnish dark rockers DOL release their second EP “Amor Brutale” later this spring. Now the single and music video of a track “Lillith’s Song” is released.
DOL’s guitar player and singer Eero Veri backgrounds the single:
Couple years ago I heard the story of Lillith for the first time and I was fascinated by it. I had hear the name all around in pop culture, but never knew the whole story. Lillith is the mother of all vampires and demons, according to some wife of lucifer and the first wife Adam in christian mytology, although almost any reference to her was completely cut from the bible as we know it. The latter being the most fascinating claim for me, I’ve always heard of Eve but never any wife or even woman before her. According to the legend, Lillith was Adams equal, not made of his ribs but created just like him. She was too dominant and did not submit to Adam, so he asked god for another wife and so, Lillith was sent to hell and given to lucifer.
In the song I try to reference her as a (vampire like) entity that takes over the female in the song and her spouse feels at first that she has this coldness inside because she wont submit to her but at the end notices that things are much better doing so. There is more of that vampire side of things mixed in there on the lyrics as the woman in the beginning is thinking should she bite the man, turning him also to a vampire, but would that have too big of an effect on their love? Would she completely rule over him after that? All she wants is to be his equal partener…
On the musical side of things, we try to dive deeper into dark rock and goth themes and sounds, still keeping the core same as before. There are also definedly much more synths amd programmed drumbeats than, before also trying to mix some violins and cellos there too.
ANGSTSKRÍG are back with the second single, the brothers have set towards new heights in black metal and mix the genre with Danish rap from the well-known rapper Jøden. The single ‘Midt i en Angstkrig‘ (In the Midst of a War of Anxiety) will be released on 3 February together with a new music video.
Angstskríg about the new single: “In the name of innovation, ‘Midt i en angstkrig’ (In the Midst of a War of Anxiety) also draws influences from the musical theatre to create something new: a black metal musical song. And why not add yet another dimension and invite Michael ‘Jøden’ Mühlebach Christiansen to blast beat rap? That’s obvious!”// Angstskríg
Danish black metal duo ANGSTSKRÍG returns with its sophomore album ‘Angstkrig’ (Danish for ‘anxiety war’) following up on the 2021 debut album ‘Skyggespil’. ‘Angstkrig’ was created during the pandemic and completed, as the world re-opened. This made its mark on the album’s seven black metallic, genre-fusioning and non-compromising songs, which revolves around and confronts the modern world’s inhuman pressure on the human. Second single of the upcoming album ‘Midt i en Angstkrig‘ (In the Midst of a War of Anxiety). Will be released February 3rd.
The two Blackened Brothers formed ANGSTSKRÍG in 2019 and intoxicated by inspiration, they quickly wrote the material for the debut album ‘Skyggespil’ (Danish for ‘shadow play’), which was recorded with producer Frederik Brandt Jakobsen, just as a pandemic world locked down. ‘Skyggespil’ was released in 2021, and the duo remained obscure, while the album’s convincing songwriting and unique nordic tone made the rumours of ANGSTSKRÍG spread widely.
The story about ANGSTSKRÍG took its beginning towards the end of the last millennium. From a young age the duo were taken under the wing of a common mentor, by whose guidance they taught themselves how to play, write and perform. Here, their urge to create, their artistic curiosity and wealth of ideas as well as the need to challenge boundaries and convictions was founded. And the duo’s common musical journey began. Though life circumstances and choices separated the two and took them down diverging paths, where one pursued the road of knowledge, the other a path of entertainment, they never lost touch, and the idea to reunite remained. So after a decade of gaining invaluable individual experiences, life was now taking new dramatic turns and the time was right to reunite as the two Blackened Brothers in ANGSTSKRÍG.
Since the inception, ANGSTSKRÍG’s vision has been to create music challenging both themselves and the listener. ”No comfort zone” is the underlying principle for the duo for which it is essential to convey thinking and to challenge conventions and thus participate in creating a basis for a better world. Like everything else in this universe, ANGSTSKRÍG is in a state over perpetual becoming. This on both a personal and a musical level – and for the band there are no taboos, only those to break – and one of the most important is the mental health which we all must consider. And which music is better to express discomfort than metal?
The seven tracks on ‘Angstkrig’ encloses the listener in a great sounding darkness which draws especially from both Norwegian black, Swedish melody, Danish groove and Icelandic melancholy. The music is riff based and conveys a solemn vibe spreading throughout the band’s genre fusioning music that carries black metal as the main musical characteristic. The album features guest appearances by the guitarist Mendel (ex-Aborted), Nils Courbaron (Sirenia) and Carl Mörner Ringström, while Danish rapper Jøden delivers a heavy, well-delivered verbal performance.
‘Angstkrig’ is recorded, mixed and mastered by Frederik Brandt Jakobsen in Hikikomori Studio, the artwork is created by NM.AAR, and the album is released March 31st 2023 through Despotz Records.
