French sensation Symphonic Power Metallers PHOEBUS THE KNIGHT have released a video for their new song ‘Children Of The Night’ taken from the band’s debut album “Ferrum Fero Ferro Feror”, coming out January 23rd via Renaissance Records US.

PHOEBUS THE KNIGHT comments on “Children Of The Night“:
“In this song, the Beast has been sent to the very dangerous dimension called the Tartarus by Phoebus and Selene after an epic fight (during the song ‘The Scarlet Dance’).
After going through this dimension, the Beast manages to reach his homeland: hell.
He has reclaimed his place in the infernal city and is now gathering his army to go find its soul sister Lilith for opening a portal to Paris and attack with their demonic and vampiric troops. 
This is why this song has a very dark tone, heavy riffings and is sung exclusively with growls, screams and epic choirs ! It is meant to represent the evil entity of the story gathering its troops with authority!”

Each track of this truly fantastic debut album is a chapter of Phoebus’ story, the knight alchemist:

For this song, we went with the typical Power Metal riffs and verses, made a long orchestral bridge with some folk surprises after it and a chorus inspired by operatic melodies to make it a long, rich and truly epic song!”

Yesterday, January 7th, UK’s Modern hard rockers ONE LAST DAY announced their new single ‘As Time Stands Still‘, revealing also its coverart. The single comes out on January 20th.

About ‘As Time Stands Still’ the band shared:
“As Time Stands Still continues along the same path of the previous One Last Day songs, with catchy vocal hooks and huge choruses. The track is heavy and emotive, yet accessible.”

The single artwork depicts a man trapped in time, by way of being stuck inside the hourglass.

Launching in early 2021, ONE LAST DAY are a modern hard rock act coming out of the South-East of England. A heavy and emotive band, their musicality is left wide open to a myriad of rock styles all wrapped up into their own distinctive sound. The band are a powerhouse live act, performing near sellout shows, growing a loyal legion of followers at each gig and getting invited to play increasingly larger shows across the UK.

ONE LAST DAY deliver heavy yet accessible music, combining an eclectic symphony of influences from Hard Rock to Grunge and Metal. This was demonstrated in their debut EP ‘CHAPTER 1: THE END IS THE BEGINNING’ which featured seven gargantuan tracks, including the successful single ‘THIS BOTTLE GOT ME’. From prog stylings to rock ballads, the EP is sure to sate the appetite of those wanting to hear more from this fresh and exciting band. The EP was produced by the band themselves, with mixing and mastering done by IgniteAMR.

It’s an interesting time to be setting out in the industry but ONE LAST DAY have accepted the challenge. THE NEVERLAND EXPRESS (Meat Loaf’s Band) + Caleb Johnson (American Idol) Share ‘Two Out Of Three’ Single + Behind-the-Scenes Video

Paul Crook, Meat Loaf‘s longtime producer, music director, and guitarist, recently announced the forthcoming release of Paradise Found: Bat Out of Hell Reignited, a new LP helmed by Meat Loaf’s official band, THE NEVERLAND EXPRESS — featuring alumni Justin Avery, (keyboard, vocals), Tom Brislin (orchestration), Steve Buslowe (bass), Paul Crook (guitar), Randy Flowers (guitar), David Luther (saxophone), Lyssa Lynne (“Stop Right There!”), John Miceli (drums) — plus American Idol Season 13 winner Caleb Johnson providing lead vocals. The album, out through Deko Entertainment and Crook’s label, Crooked Media, LLC, will be shared on January 27.

Paradise Found reimagines the sound, passion, and fury of the original Bat Out of Hell, the 1977 release by Meat Loaf and composer Jim Steinman, which remains in the top five best-selling albums of all time. It includes all seven songs performed in their original order. The song arrangements have developed over decades of touring and now the listener can hear these re-envisioned versions.

As Crook states on the album: “The music is timeless, and we play it virtually note for note. The wall of sound that fans experience when seeing us live is captured in this recording. Meat Loaf fans will be pleased. We’re hoping this release introduces Meat and Jim to a whole new fan base.”

“This album has been a labor of love for us,” continues Crook. “Meat Loaf’s passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of millions around the world. We are committed to keeping the legacy alive by celebrating this incredible music. I felt there was no better way to honor our boss and Jim than to release our tribute to Bat Out of Hell on this special 45th anniversary.” 

The LP’s first single “All Revved Up With No Place To Go” dropped this past October, almost 45 years to the date of the official release of the original Bat Out of Hell album. It was recently followed with the release of an official lyric video.

Today, Deko + Crooked present the record’s next single, “Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad,” alongside a behind-the-scenes making-of video.

Said Paul Crook of the track: “Meat Loaf enjoyed talking about Steinman songs, their inspiration. It was all about the lyric. One of his favorite stories…Jim was once asked if he could write a song better than I WANT YOU, I NEED YOU, I LOVE YOU by Elvis Presley. He responded with…’I want you, I need you
But there ain’t no way I’m ever gonna love you, Now don’t be sad ’cause two out of three ain’t bad.'”

Caleb Johnson continued, “A beautiful and cleverly written song! I hope everyone enjoys our reimagined version of a classic!”

Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski is one of the most recognized drummers within the metal scene. Well known for his extreme drumming, blastbeats, precision and supersonic speeds, he earned his reputation through the years and was repeatedly valued for his achievements. Extensively touring the world with his bands. He played over a 1000 shows.

Born in 1980, he got his first kit at the age of 14. His story began with the band Vesania, and was continued in Vader, Masachist, Hunter, Black River. He’s also a session musician for multiple bands. Today, drumming for Vesania and Dimmu Borgir and being an active clinician and educator, he remains in the lead of worlds‘ uncompromising drummers.

Canadian progressive grunge rockers HUNTING GIANTS are sharing their next video for the track “Kindred” off their latest album “Mythos” released this past November. ​“Mythos” is the new crowning achievement from Hunting Giants who have put in many years of musical work, writing, and recording while gigging and enduring quarantine as a band during the Covid pandemic. The album’s goal is to grab listeners and amaze them with intricate woven stories, energetic riffs, and distinctive vocals. The album is meant to be an adventure, with each track having its own flavour and setting; the songs are worlds unto themselves. All of the music on the release contribute to a listening experience that is much more than the sum of its parts. The material is an addictive encounter that will keep you coming back.

The band explains in further detail about “Kindred”:

“Opening up with the flight of guitars as they soar over a pounding bass riff, this song is about casting away the pain and trauma of the past and coming together as allies with those whom we once saw as enemies. The open chords of the chorus leave room for the bass and percussion to accent the coming riff as the vocal sing about the power of unification. The bridge drops into a monologue where our protagonist is faced with one final challenge. This gives way to a last verse where we as the listener are given the choice to decide what happens in our futures. The triumphant outro hints of Queens of the Stone Age as the vocal harmonies ease into a final harmonized note.”
