SIGLOS Release Teaser for New Song ‘Soga De Los Muertos’, Debut EP “Rituales Segrados” Out January 27th

Extreme metal band SIGLOS features the transcendent strings of Two-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Sin Quirin, former iconic Ministry band member of 15 years, and the demanding vocals of Pedro Sanchez from the band Transtorno.

Lead vocalist Pedro Sanchez shares, “Soga De Los Muertos” honors the Spirit of the Ancestral Medicine “Ayahuasca”. The translation of the word of Ayahuasca is “Soga De Los Muertos” or “Soga De Los Espiritus” which in English is “Rope of the Dead” or “Rope Of The Spirits”.

Sin Quirin views the song from a different perspective. “Soga De Los Muertos”  touches on the “sound” people seem to know me for. It has that “industrial-ish” element to it. I love the heavy, mid-tempo, driving, and groovy riff this song has.”

“Rituales Segrados” was written by Sin Quirin, with lyrics written by Pedro Sanchez, and was produced, mixed, and mastered by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound. Alex adds,  “It’s impressive to see the growth and transformation of Sin’s songwriting and guitar playing with SIGLOS. This aesthetic and genre seems to be a perfect fit for Sin and Pedro to fully express themselves at this stage of their journey as musicians. I truly feel they have forged a new genre of metal and am thrilled for their escalation and expansion in 2023!”

Tim Ripper Owens: “KK’s Priest Plan to Put New Record Out & Tour Non Stop in 2023”

Jimmy Kay and Alan Dixon recently spoke to Tim Ripper Owens (KK’s Priest, Judas Priest) about his KK’s Priest upcoming tour and new studio album as well as his new E.P. Return to Death Row, which was produced by Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Nick Bellmore (JASTA, DEE SNIDER), released on Dec 9, 2022.

When asked about his new E.P. Return to Death Row

“Jamey Jasta did those Dee Snider records and I said those  are fantastic, those Dee Snider records were so good. I love Dee, I loved Twisted Sister in the 80’s. So I did his podcast (Jamey Jasta) probably to promote the KK’s Priest record and he said ok 25 year of Jugulator is coming up and he started sending me ideas.  This record is great and it came together so fast like vocally I just sang these songs and flew through it. It’s heavy but it’s still melodic. I think with this E.P. we wanted to come out of the gate pretty brutal.”

When asked about the next studio album of 10 songs

“I am excited to work on the next ten songs. Those guys are writing songs now ( Jamey Jasta, Nick Bellmore Drum, Charlie Bellmore Guitars)  I know for a fact they have songs written already. “

When asked if he finished his vocals for the new KK’s Priest studio album

“I just finished the last one (vocal) a couple of days ago. I’m sure I will have to go back and re-do a few things, maybe add some parts to them…” 

When asked what stage they are at completing the new KK’s Priest album

“It’s really close now. It’s in the mixing process I think, producing and moving some stuff around. I actually really like it. It’s next level from the last one (Sermons of the Sinner). I think the last one was the perfect record. This next one though I think it’s that and beyond. I think vocally, it’s a little heavier, it’s got tons of highs still but it’s got edgier vocals. It’s got some melodic beautiful vocals but it’s just edgier I think. I enjoyed doing this one a lot.”

When asked about the touring plans for KK’s Priest

“Next year is going to be pretty swamped cause KK’s Priest is now finally going to put this record out and tour. The plan is just to tour non stop for a year or two. The plan is to hit the road, I don’t think (KK downing) wants to do just festivals. Hopefully it all comes together.”

ROTTEN SOUND is crushing down, right on time to grind away that jolly Christmas mood of yours! The Finnish grindcore band will be releasing their new full-length,  ‘Apocalypse,’ on March 31, 2023 via Season of Mist! The offering contains eighteen short and sharp chops that hit home perfectly in these chaotic times! ROTTEN SOUND comments on the track: “Sharing” is a track about how wealthy instances in control provide mainly cosmetic help towards the ones in need to improve their public image, while the world is in turmoil. Riffs were written by guitarist Mika Aalto and it’s one of the faster ones on the album (tempo-wise) with some heaviness at the end.“

PSILOCYPE LARVAE Release New Lyric Video ‘Sorvali Cemetery’

Russian dark metal band PSILOCYPE LARVAE presented a new lyric video for the song “Sorvali Cemetery”. The track comes off the group’s latest album “Where Silence Dwells” released on December 15, 2021 via Red Rivet records and Fono Ltd.

Vocalist/guitarist Vit Belobritsky comments: “The song is dedicated to my hometown Vyborg where Psilocybe Larvae was formed. Sorvali is the Finnish name of the island that became the district of the town. The cemetery in Sorvali was abandoned and ruined in the Soviet period when Vyborg (Viipuri in Finnish) became part of the USSR after the Winter War and then WWII. I decided to tell about this place where the ashes of Finns, Swedes, Germans, and Russians rest and wrote lyrics about a restless spirit wandering through the cemetery. I tried to show the connection of times, that indifference and disrespect for the past lead to the destruction of history, memory, and human values. It’s so hard to know this is happening in our country, especially these days”.

BULLET-PROOF have officially closed the chapter one and the chapter two has been opened!

We decided to part our ways with Lukas. We shared so many stages and things together! And we’re all happy for all we achieved together! What he gave to this band will stay with us forever, that’s for sure! And we’re grateful for all he did! Thank you Luki!!!

The new drummer is Mr. Željko Marinkovič. Welcome to him!
