Finnish symphonic power metal band EVERFROST is sharing their next single “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” ft. Mikael Salo (Thy Row) from their forthcoming EP of anime cover songs entitled “Frostbites” that is due out on November 11th via Rockshots Records.

The band adds about the track:

“When deciding the track listing for our first EP of anime cover songs, one of the ‘must-do’ candidates was ‘Gotta Catch ‘Em All’ from the worldwide phenomenon franchise Pokémon! We were kids when the first games dropped and the anime series started airing on television. We all have precious memories of waking up to this song before school or on weekend mornings. Aside from being an absolute banger, it preaches such an inspirational message to get out there, be the best you can be, and achieve whatever it is you are after. Our version brings back the magic and charm of the original version and uses the force of Finnish metal to empower this message even more. This song will also be the second to last EVERFROST song that our former vocalist Mikael Salo will sing on, giving one of his best performances yet. We also again had the pleasure to work with vocalist extraordinaires Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast in Black), Bini Silvennoinen (Blame Me!), and Sara Vanhamäki (Strömmer) (Shereign, ex-Fear of Domination) when recreating the iconic backing vocals of the original version. Put this on anytime, it’ll give you the nostalgia rush of a lifetime!”

Drummer Jope adds: “Pokémon was the thing in my days and it was my first touch in anime. I remember rocking link cable with my classmates battling or trading to get the best teams in Pokémon red/blue. ‘Never give up til it’s over’ is a line from Ash I use as a motivator in a lot of things”

Keyboardist Benji also adds: “as a young kid my school life wasn’t great, but Pokémon would get me out of bed in the morning.”

SERAINA TELLI Releases Video for New Single ‘I Dare To’

SERAINA TELLI has released “I Dare To”, the new single from her solo debut “Simple Talk”, set to be released on October 21st via Metalville Records.

“I Dare To” shows the great musical diversity of the former frontwoman of the Swiss heavy metal band “Burning Witches”. The charismatic artist leaves a lasting impression. Visually as well as musically. Her music is as colourful and varied as her hair colours, one of her typical distinguishing features. The multi-talent does not like to be confined to one style.

Female Fronted Rock has a new face: SERAINA TELLI

“I am what I am and that’s just right!” This message is very important to Seraina Telli. She wants to motivate other women in particular to believe in themselves, to be completely with themselves and, above all, to stay that way.

Seraina Telli combines everything that the modern rock world urgently needs: great songwriting, vocal power, musical versatility, artistic depth and a really strong attitude. Coupled with her authenticity, she is the ideal mix of power woman and promising young artist.

Colorful-loud-different-and above all-unique! With a style of music that “Straight in your Face Rock” couldn’t describe better.
All of this and much more is: Seraina Telli

The album release party will be celebrated on 23.10 at the “Ambossrampe” in Zurich!

HAKEN Guitarist CHARLIE GRIFFITHS Drops Video for ‘Digging Deeper’ from Debut Solo Album

CHARLIE GRIFFITHS, guitarist for British progressive metal heavyweights HAKEN, recently released his debut solo album ‘Tiktaalika’. Charlie has launched a video for the track ‘Digging Deeper’, a song that features vocals from none other than Charlie himself. Watch it below.

Charlie comments: “In the context of Tiktaalika, this song is a conversation between a fossilised ancestor and a modern day human, digging down though the rock strata, peeling back the layers of time. Both are connected, but are separated by hundreds of millions of years – until that point of discovery and reconnection. On a purely human level, we all have friends or family members we wish we could talk to again, but physically cannot and I was very much conscious of that feeling when writing and singing these words.”

The album includes stunning artwork from Dan Goldsworthy, and is available as a Ltd CD Edition, Gatefold 180g 2LP+CD & as Digital Album. Order HERE.
