DEATHLESS LEGACY have released ‘Absolution’ – second single taken from the new album ‘Mater Larvarum’, set to be released on December 9th via Scarlet Records.

Stream ‘Absolution’ on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3Ufmi0m

Pre-order the album at https://orcd.co/dlmaterlarvarum

‘Mater Larvarum’ marks the sixth seal of the Deathless Legacy discography in the ghostliest way ever.

Musically, the record ranges from classic heavy metal to gothic, symphonic and progressive metal, featuring sensual high and low female vocals and, as usual, some amazing atmospheric keyboards and orchestrations.

This time the story of the concept-album brings us in a world of feminine fierceness, creepy silences and shadows arising from the underground.

It’s a velvet-like, sexy and frightening feeling – something so powerful to twist your soul and forever paint it black.

  • recorded at Eden Studios (Italy); mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio (San Marino)
  • artwork and videoclips by visual artist and band’s drummer Andrea Falaschi (L.A. Guns, Delain, Vision Divine, Elvenking, Temperance, Trick Or Treat, Apostolica, Vexillum)
  • the band features members of Vision Divine, Athena and Motus Tenebrae

DEATHLESS LEGACY is:
Steva – vocals
Sgt. Bones – guitar
Alex van Eden – keyboards
Deadwood Nick – bass
Frater Orion – drums
Revyla – performances

JUDICATOR Premiere New Single + Lyric Video ‘The Black Elk’

JUDICATOR are today premiering their new single, The Black Elk, and its accompanying lyric video via New Noise Magazine. The Black Elk is the third track to be taken from the US power metal bands forthcoming sixth studio album, The Majesty of Decay, which is set for release on November 25 via Prosthetic Records.

The Black Elk will be available on all streaming platforms this Friday (November 4).
Pre-order The Majesty of Decay here.

Speaking on the premiere, John Yelland (vocals) comments: “I wrote The Black Elk during a heavy Hypocrisy phase. I couldn’t get enough of ‘End of Disclosure’ and ‘A Taste of Extreme Divinity’. So, The Black Elk is my take on Hypocrisy being put through a power metal lens. This is actually a trend for other songs on the new album. For example, Ursa Minor was written during a Belphegor phase (‘Blood Magick Necromance’) and Daughter of Swords was written during a Cannibal Corpse phase (‘A Skeletal Domain’).

“Speaking to The Black Elk in particular though, in short, the song is about coming to terms with one’s insecurities about being a father, and a son. This heavy metal anthem is for everyone who has daddy issues!”

As with past releases, The Majesty of Decay is a concept album. But while most JUDICATOR albums have been based on history, this one takes an entirely different direction. The album’s story connects with At the Expense of Humanity, the band’s third album, which recounts singer John Yelland’s experiences watching his older brother die after a long, drawn out battle with cancer.

Whilst the album’s story remains somewhat shrouded in mystery, JUDICATOR utilizes compelling plot devices as a means to encourage fans to piece together the album’s meta-contextual threads. What we do know, however, is that The Majesty of Decay explores the subjects of love, family, and the transformation of suffering into something meaningful. JUDICATOR invites you to step into this world and contemplate how the story might relate to you. The album is a carefully constructed puzzle of mirrors and metaphor that cries out for JUDICATOR fans everywhere to solve it.

What began as a humble homage to their mutual love of Blind Guardian, JUDICATOR have quickly grown into something that has continually had fans begging for more, with JUDICATOR more happy to oblige. With this latest offering, JUDICATOR have delivered yet another thought provoking album that fits nicely into their discography.

With members spread across the United States, recording for The Majesty of Decay was certainly unique. Drums were engineered and recorded by Alex Bosson (Helion Prime, Lunar, Planeswalker). Brass was engineered and recorded by Michael Sasich at Man vs. Music. The album was edited by Will Salazar at Revenant Sound Studios. Reamping and mixing was completed by Carlos Alvarez at Dirty Viking Audio Production. Mastering and sequencing was completed by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studio. In addition, the album features Angel Chatzitheodorou (Angel Wolf-Black, ex-Bare Infinity), whose elegant, powerful voice soars through much of the song Judgment. The beautiful, eerie artwork by Marc Whisnant completes the package.

The ten tracks that comprise The Majesty of Decay are haunting, progressive, and command attention through their adventurous, emotionally cathartic storytelling and pervasive, dynamic atmosphere.

The Majesty of Decay tracklist:

1. Euphoric Parasitism
2. The Majesty of Decay
3. From the Belly of the Whale
4. Daughter of Swords
5. Ursa Minor
6. Ursa Major
7. The High Priestess
8. The Black Elk
9. Judgment
10. Metamorphosis

The tour will commence just after the band re-releases their take on the Christmas classic “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” coming November 11.

ABOUT CLASSLESS ACT:

It’s not often that a band comes around like Classless Act who have tempted a new generation of fans and given rock’s faithful a reason to keep believing. Influenced by Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Bowie, the L.A.-based five-piece bring a fresh, young take on a golden age of music. They’ve been applauded by bands like Jane’s Addiction, given nods from execs with Live Nation and MTV, and are already finding their footing in major international markets barely a year after releasing their first single “Give It To Me” in 2021.

With the release of their anticipated debut Welcome To The Show via Better Noise Music on June 24, the band immediately racked up 2 million streams and got the attention of rock bibles like Loudwire, SPIN, Metal Hammer, and Blabbermouth, the latter who said Classless Act “stands ready to carve out a legacy of its own.”

While the music tells its own story, so do the members of the band themselves, hailing from all over the globe, including Hawaii, Los Angeles, Argentina, and Dallas. The band, featuring Derek Day (vocals), Dane Pieper (guitar), Griffin Tucker (guitar), Franco Gravante (bass), and Chuck McKissock (drums), first formed in 2018 when the five former strangers met through friends via social media. Their chemistry quickly came to light, the members fusing together anthemic rhythms, shreddy guitars, soaring vocals and clever arrangements that, as one writer astutely said, have “…enough energy to power a city.”

With personal invites to appear on summer 2022’s highest grossing tour, The Stadium Tour, as well as the Taylor Hawkins tribute and Aftershock festival, Classless Act are giving the industry whiplash with the constant head turning and are poised to become a next-generation defining act.

CORNERS OF SANCTUARY Launch New Video for Cover Version of ‘Rock of Ages’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on November 2, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: (COS), CORNERS OF SANCTUARY. Leave a comment

Traditional American Heavy Metal titans, CORNERS OF SANCTUARY (COS), have released a new music video for their latest single, “Rock of Ages,” from the Def Leppard Tribute EP, “Defying.” The single marks the third track from the band’s first ever cover venture. Following last winter’s “Mirror, Mirror” and the release of this past summer’s smash hit, “Bringing on the Heartbreak,” COS gives the classic Leppard anthem a power punch of Metal adrenaline.

“Rock of Ages” stands as one of Def Leppard’s most beloved and enduring songs, which was instrumental with ushering in Heavy Metal’s dominance throughout the later part of the 80s. Corners of Sanctuary delivers a solid, supercharged version worthy of the original classic’s popularity.

“We really enjoyed working on these songs and adding our own twists and turns to them,” said COS guitarist Mick Michaels. “The overall reaction has been great…this project gave us a chance to spread our musical wings.”

In addition to the “Defying” EP, a version of Corners of Sanctuary’s “Rock of Ages” also appears on the FnA Records’ Def Leppard tribute compilation, “Let’s Get Rocked.”

“Defying” is available through Sonic Velocity Records on all digital platforms.
