Swedish Death Metallers DEFLESHED have set October 28th as the release date for their new full-length “Grind Over Matter“! For a first preview of the album, a new video (directed by Magnus Ewald) for the single ‘Grind Over Matter’ can be viewed at: metalblade.com/defleshed – where “Grind Over Matter” can also be pre-ordered in various formats.
Gustaf Jorde comments: “We’re excited to present the first song off our first album in 17 years – “Grind over Matter”! Together with Lawrence Mackrory we’ve worked hard to produce an audial bitch slap for all of us who need one from time to time. Enjoy the madness – fast forward to the front!“
“Grind Over Matter” was tracked at Rorysound Studios, Uppsala, Sweden, with Lawrence Mackrory, with two weeks devoted to drums, another two for guitar and bass and two three-day sessions for vocals. “It was pretty straightforward, the hardest part was to not get carried away by impulsive ideas too much, but stay put to the original plan,” says Jorde.

From the mid-90s to 2005, Sweden’s Defleshed churned out a hot blend of thrash, death metal and grindcore, marking themselves as one of the most vital bands in all three of those genres. Having run out of inspiration and wanting to try other things they called it a day the same year they released their fifth album “Reclaim The Beat“, and ever since fans have hollered for their reunion. In 2021 they got what they were asking for when the band’s core lineup – guitarist Lars Löfven, drummer Matte Modin and bassist/vocalist Gustaf Jorde – got back together. They released the “Fleshless And Wild” single the same year and are now looking forward to releasing “Grind Over Matter” on October 28th!

October 21, 2022 will see IRON ALLIES, the brand new band founded by former ACCEPT members Herman Frank and David Reece, release their hotly-anticipated debut, entitled Blood In Blood Out, via AFM Records.
Sometimes, there are constellations where you just know immediately: This is hitting the nail on the head. The perfect match. Like Frank and Reece, esteemed rock and metal titans who both once played with Accept, and who just joined forces in IRON ALLIES!
It`s the perfect blend of powerful song-writing and eloquent content that sets their first album Blood In Blood Out apart, from first to last note. Not to mention all these years of experience, impeccable and inspiring artistic skills, and a personal environment that fully lives up to the descriptive band name. With drummer Francesco Jovino, bassist Malte Burkert and rhythm guitarist Mike Pesin, Herman and David have gathered like-minded, exceptionally talented forces around them.
Following the previously-released, first single and video for heavy metal anthem, “Full Of Suprises”, now IRON ALLIES have unleashed the album title track of their upcoming, blistering debut! Says Reece: “Blood In Blood out is about the commitment to rocknroll, it’s in all of our DNA once bitten your hooked. Herman wrote the crushing riff and the lyrics say it all about each and everyone of us.”
“After receiving a message a few months back from Herman Frank if I’d be interested in writing together I immediately jumped at the opportunity after hearing some of his trademark riffs.” Reece continues. “I’ve always loved Herman Frank and his style of writing and playing and I really believe we’ve created something special together with our new album Blood In Blood Out. Our rhythm section is also amazing including Malte Frederik Burkert on bass, Francesco Jovino on drums and Mike Pesin on Rythym guitar. To be clear this is not just a project this is a full group and Herman and I feel we’ve got many years of creating and playing live shows together. The music is metal but with melody, great riffs and grooves and from a lyrical perspective there are many songs where there’s something for everyone to identify with. I look forward to touring and seeing all the fans in the near future!”
Blood In Blood Out was recorded at renowned Horus Sound Studio in Hanover with co-producer Arne Neurand, and was mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward. Set to be released on October 21, 2022 via AFM Records, the album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!

Conceived in the heart of the Norwegian black metal scene in 1993, DIMMU BORGIRquickly broke free from the boundaries of the genre, daring to combine a traditional raven black sound with opulent symphonic orchestration. Soon they turned into pioneers of their field, forging groundbreaking albums such as Enthrone Darkness Triumphant(1997), Spiritual Black Dimensions (1999), or Death Cult Armageddon (2003), invading the entire world with headline tours and eventually turning into the most influential act of their genre after nine full-length studio releases. After their last two successful albums Abrahadabra and Eonian, new music from DIMMU BORGIR follows with their remixed & remastered version of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia which was originally released in 2001.

10 YEARS have released a video for their brand new song “The Optimist”, out now Via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group. Watch the video below.
Cardiff was the first of a 21-date tour with Canadian rockers Three Days Grace, which will see them play shows in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and The Netherlands. See all the tours dates below. Tickets are available from here.
The new song is a three-minute hook-fest of crunching riffs and earworm chorus with the 10 Years DNA running through it. The video shows their life on the road, from euphoric club shows and enormous festival stages to the band hanging around on off days, to give you a behind-the-curtain view to life on the road.
Talking about the track, Brian Vodinh says. “The Optimist riff first began as an improvised jam in-between songs at a live show. Sometimes the band would randomly improvise on stage, and the song’s main riff happened by a happy accident one night, and then we decided to turn that little moment into a proper song. The lyrics are about how life can beat you down, but you must keep searching for ways to push on and not let it make you too cynical. It’s about the fight to keep a good perspective on things.”
The tour will be the first time the band have played in Europe since 2018, and it gives fans the chance to hear songs from their most recent studio album, 2020s Violent Allies, live for the first time. Written in the Woodland Hills in Los Angeles, the band recorded for five weeks with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Papa Roach]. Violent Allies has amassed over 30 million streams, with the lead single “The Shift” smashing through the 10m Spotify stream barrier alone. Check out the band’s live energy in the official video for the song here.
Talking about the upcoming tour, Vodinh says, “Three Days Grace has always been a band that we have admired. Being able to not only share the stage with them but to have the opportunity to play in front of the amazing, music-hungry fans of Europe again is a dream come true for us. The fans in Europe are so passionate, and they dig deeper than the surface with our music which is always something we have loved about them.”
Their wall of sound hooks and high-octane live shows have seen them build a phenomenally loyal US following. They’ve sold out countless headline shows and toured with giants such as Korn, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots and Stone Sour to Five Finger Death Punch, A Perfect Circle and Linkin Park.
They will be playing the monstrous fan-favourites and hits such as; the Gold-certified Billboard Alternative #1 smash anthem “Wasteland,” the Top 5 Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs Chart hit “Novacaine”, as well as songs from Violent Allies such as “The Unknown”, and “The Shift,” along with countless others from their back-catalogue of Top 30 Billboard albums.
Rock Sound have called their sound “built for stadiums,” Classic Rock hailed their “big, industrial-sounding crunch of guitars”, whilst Metal Hammer called 2017s (how to live) AS GHOSTS “a sheer infectious bombast” with Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock and Scuzz also jumping aboard the 10 Years Juggernaut ride.
10 Years have put in the hard miles and are built for life on the road, and Europe will get the chance to experience it for the first time in a long-time. They’re going to bring the energy, and it will feel massive.
The band are currently working on new material for 2023.
10 Years are: Jesse Hasek (Lead Vocals), Brian Vodinh (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Matt Wantland (Guitar), Chad Grennor (Bass) and Luke Narey (Drums).
