SARCATOR Share Lyric Video for New Single ‘Dreameater’

Following their critically acclaimed 2020 – s/t debut album, Swedish blackened thrash metallers SARCATOR are gearing up for the release of the band’s upcoming full-length record, entitled “Alkahest”, which will be coming out on October 21st via Black Lion Records. After the band has already given an intense insight with the first single “Grave Maggot Future“, the four-piece follows up today with the brand new track “Dreameater”. Listen here:

Being only between 17 and 23 years old, the four young gentlemen of Sarcator started with Metallica covers and after working on their own material, they went to Studio-MT in their hometown to record their debut album, which was released in November 2020. Just a few months after the release they got nominated to Best Swedish Metal Group for the 2021 edition of the radio listeners award “P3 Guld”. Even if they lost out to LIK it was still a major confirmation that the band is on the right path. The music is heavily inspired by Metallica, Slayer as well as the German teutonic thrash metal wave and melodic death metal like The Crown and At The Gates. The Crown influences probably came by birth as the line-up features The Crown’s Marko Tervonen’s son Mateo Tervonen. This is the kind of death thrash that most old school fans live for.

Here and now, a few years later, the band’s second album is about to be released, showing a more mature sound as well as a greater influence from bands like Dissection and Morbid Angel. “Alkahest” will be coming out via Black Lion Records and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

Tracklist:

  1. Ascend
  2. Perdition’s Hand
  3. Grave Maggot Future
  4. Dreameater
  5. The Long Lost
  6. He Who Comes from the Dark
  7. Devil Sun
  8. Sorrow’s Verse
  9. Alkahest

Sarcator is:
Felix Lindkvist – Bass & Backing Vocals
Mateo Tervonen – Vocals & Guitar
Emil Eriksson – Rhythm Guitar & Backing Vocals
Jesper Rosén – Drums

The Sign Records is proud to announce that Finnish heavy metal group GREEN KING has joined the label. Originally formed as a side project to play stoner rock- inspired heavy music, Green King‘s members have long been part of the Finnish music scene in bands such as Rokets, Black Lizard, Rusty Triggers, and United Seafood. Quickly making a name for themselves in the heavy underground scene for their monumental riffs and colossal guitar harmonies, the Helsinki based four piece released the EP “Rock Alley Tapes” earlier in 2022. Now, the group is set to launch their debut, full length studio album “Hidden Beyond Time” in winter 2022, with the first single “Godkiller”, now available on all streaming platforms.

Listen to “Godkiller” through your favorite streaming platform or right here:

Green King comments:

Godkiller is a song that pays homage to an 80’s thrash/speed metal band Holy Terror. The title comes from a video game I used to play when writing this song, so Godkiller isn’t much of a statement against christianity rather than a big heavy metal nerd out, but maybe let’s not tell that to the Jesus freaks out there. We’re proud and excited to release the first single from our upcoming album with the Sign records, this for sure is a milestone for us as a band!

Green King are:
Eliel Salomaa : Guitars and vocals
Lauri Lyytinen : Guitars
Heikki Nyman : Bass
Otto Bigler : Drums

HALF GRAMME OF SOMA to Release New Album “Slip Through The Cracks” on September 30th

Sound Of Liberation – the renowned, international live and booking institution for all that is heavy in the realms of stoner and heavy rock, psychedelic, doom and sludge metal, hosts of events such as Desertfest, Keep It Low, Up In Smoke and many more acclaimed festivals of the heavy music underground – has launched its own record label! Distributed by The Orchard, September 30, 2022 will see SOL Records proudly present their first record release, the new album by Athen-based rock act HALF GRAMME OF SOMA!

Formed in early 2011, HALF GRAMME OF SOMA unleashes an enthralling blend of heavy rock and a wide range of eclectic influences. 90’s-fueled, orgasmically monolithic and with a deep psychedelic soul, the band’s sound is groovy and trippy at the same time, based solely on successful teamwork rather than meaningless individual show-offs.With their self-titled debut album in 2013, the Greek five-piece took the rock community by storm: In 2014, the band released their much acclaimed Marche au Noir EP, followed by extensive touring schedules and shows with bands such as Monster Magnet, Elder, Stoned Jesus, 1000mods, Mars Red Sky and many more. Groove Is Black, HALF GRAMME OF SOMA’s sophomore album, was released in 2017.

Just recently, the band has shared a first song taken of their upcoming, third studio album, Slip Through The Cracks, which will see the light of day on September 30, 2022 via SOL Records (PRE-ORDER HERE!). Their new album raises the bar even more, with memorable riffs, genuine heaviness, an increased use of 90’s influences, powerful driven vocals and a tight rhythm section that never ceases to impress with its precision and effectiveness. HALF GRAMME OF SOMA are once again not aiming for commercial success or innovations, but they revolutionize the modern approach to classic ingredients, creating an addictive yet effortless magma of straightforward heavy rock music and unpretentious punkery!

In support of their upcoming record release, the band will hit the road with NAXATRAS in October; make sure to catch this killer tour package of up-and-coming Greek rock gods live at the listed dates below! HALF GRAMME OF SOMA‘s new video for first single and album opening track, “Muck & Cheese”, is streaming here:

VERMOCRACY Release Lyric Video for ‘Necrocracy’

On 30 September “Age Of Dysphoria”, the second album by the Viennese melodic death metallers VERMOCRACY, will be released via Black Sunset/MDD. Friends of dark melodic death metal with a clear homage to the genre greats of the 90s will certainly enjoy it, because stylistically and in terms of content, the band draws a dystopian picture of the failure and decay of modern society with powerful riffs, earthy grooves and bestial vocals. With “Necrocracy”, a first sample is now available on the label’s YouTube channel. In addition to the CD release, there will also be a chic aluminium box containing the album as well as a few additional gimmicks such as patches and stickers and a signed autograph card. The final tracklist of the album is attached!
