Finnish neoclassical symphonic melodic death metal band CLAMORIS is set to release their debut album Opus Limbonica on October 28th 2022 via Inverse Records. The second single “A Window to My Dreams” is released today.
Composer & lyricist Sami Selkäinaho comments: “The second single from Opus Limbonica, “A Window to My Dreams”, is the mid-point of the album. The song is dark and hateful, yet driven by melody. It contains some of the trickiest leadworks in all of Opus Limbonica.
Containing a lot of different passages, the song is glued together by firey guitar and synth leadwork and the chorus sections. Tempowise, the song represents the more mid-tempo material of the album but still has the characteristic neoclassical elements of the album.
“A Window to My Dreams” is inspired by the earlier works of Symphony X, Children of Bodom and The Kovenant and puts the emphasis on melodic riffs and especially neoclassical leads.”

Southern Californian death/thrash battalion EXMORTUS has officially joined the roster of metal’s heaviest label Nuclear Blast Records. In addition to the signing announcement, the band is giving fans a taste of their highly-anticipated next album with the single ‘Oathbreaker,’ which is available for streaming now and accompanied by the music video created by Wayne Joyner (DREAM THEATER, DEVIN TOWNSEND).
Commenting on the signing, founding guitarist Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez says:
“We are very excited to announce that our upcoming album will be our first with Nuclear Blast as our new label. We’re working with them to bring you what we consider to be our best album yet!”
Adding about the single, Conan states:
“‘Oathbreaker’ is the perfect teaser for the new album. Not only is it fast, heavy and filled with shred, but it’s inspired by Tolkien’s haunting lore of the Dead Men of Dunharrow in the Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King. While our previous work focused more on the heroic aspect of fantasy and sword & sorcery, this album expresses the darker side with tragic heroes and horrors of humanity. EXMORTUS‘ new single was produced and mixed by Zack Ohren (MACHINE HEAD, FALLUJAH) and is the first new music since 2018’s acclaimed full-length The Sound of Steel and subsequent 2019 EP, Legions of the Undead. Frontman Björn Strid reveals the story behind the video: “After our incredible show at Metalfest in Plzen, some of us decided to stay for another day in the heart of Prague. As we had a new gem up our sleeves we couldn’t resist to record a video for it. We therefore spent 8 hours riding at the back of a trailer through Prague while waving with cupped hands and met nothing but smiles and excitement from people in the streets. It was an incredible hot day that turned into a tropical night and this is what came out of it! Enjoy and crank it loud!”

“Of Knowledge and Revelation marks a new path in my constant spiritual pilgrimage through darkness, fog and light. A journey made of solitude, of rise and fall, in a world that recalls Dante’s Limbo. I love feeding myself with visions, literature and painting in particular.” Nero Kane states.
Nero Kane’s psych dark folk world is intimate, minimal and decadent. Both in his vocals and guitar style, his European roots intertwine with America’s desert sound in a project full of emotional vision and cinematic Jlavour. His music has been defined as a suspended and crepuscular journey particularly concerned with death, religion and love.”Of Knowledge and Revelation”, Nero Kane’s third studio album, was recorded near Venice in a fertile collaboration with producer Matt Bordin (Squadra Omega / Omega Mai / Italian Occult Psychedelia) of Outside Inside Studio, and features visual artist, performer and filmmaker Samantha Stella, whose voice has been defined as “evoking the ghost of Nico”. In the last five years Kane and Stella performed together for Nero Kane’s concerts in clubs, theaters, churches, museums and art galleries in Italy, Europe, UK and Los Angeles. National Napalm Syndicate was formed in 1986. After few line-up changes and couple of demos later they found themselves signing a major label deal with EMI / Capitol Records.
The band was one of the very first speed/thrash metal acts to emerge from Finland. Their debut album “National Napalm Syndicate” was released in 1989.
Over the years National Napalm Syndicate have released a number of full albums and EPs, but now 2022 all the missing pieces of the puzzle were found and the band is a meaner than ever, a true killing machine ready to unleash the thrash metal storm upon the metal world.
The National Napalm Syndicate sound is a interesting combination of traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM, hardcore punk and old school thrash metal. As a bonus they have a very unique way of writing memorable choruses and addicting riffs. A truly original sound which only a country like Finland and a cold Finnish weather could have given a birth.
