The first-ever, career-spanning documentary on the life and times of legendary metal icon Ronnie James Dio comes to cinemas worldwide for two days only on Wed., Sept. 28 and Sun., Oct. 2. Executive produced by Dio’s widow and longtime manager, Wendy Dio, and fully authorized by the artist’s estate, “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” delves deep into the singer’s incredible rise from a ‘50s doo-wop crooner to his early rock days in Elf and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, to replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, and finally cementing his rock star status with his own band, DIO. The film incorporates never-before-seen footage and personal photos, as well as offering intimate scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, among them Wendy Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk, and Jack Black, as they bring viewers inside the life of one of rock and roll’s true heroes and one of the most beloved figures in rock.

In addition to the feature-length film, this special cinema event will also include a hand-picked selection of outtakes from the cutting room floor, creating an experience that is exclusive only to fans in attendance.

Presented in cinemas worldwide by Trafalgar Releasing and BMG, tickets for “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” go on sale on Wed., Aug. 24 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at www.diodreamersneverdie.com

“We are excited to be partnering with BMG and Wendy Dio to present ‘DIO: Dreamers Never Die’ in cinemas worldwide,” said Kymberli Frueh, SVP for Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing. “Ronnie James Dio has and continues to influence the heavy metal movement. This cinema event will take fans on a big screen journey into the creative and personal life of this notable frontman.”

Ronnie James Dio, who died of gastric cancer in 2010, reigns as one of the most influential rock artists of all time and one of the greatest vocalists ever. With an illustrious recording career spanning from the 1950’s through to the 2000’s, the documentary follows his trajectory from sideman into singer, songwriter and frontman of not one, but three, of rock’s internationally-renowned, multi-Platinum-selling arena attractions: Rainbow, Black Sabbath and DIO. Famous for popularizing the ‘devil horns’ hand gesture that is now synonymous with hard rock and heavy metal music, Dio was known for not wavering in his pursuit of his rock and roll dreams and continues to influence a new generation of music artists.  His fans the world over remember him not only for his massive talent, but for his kindness, resulting in millions of dollars raised for cancer research in his memory.

“DIO: Dreamers Never Die” was financed solely by BMG and was directed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton (Framing John DeLorean, Believer, Last Days Here), produced by Don Argott and Sheena Joyce for 9.14 Pictures, and executive produced by Wendy Dio for Niji Productions and Kathy Rivkin Daum for BMG.

Argott and Fenton said, “People who have conviction, talent and heart like Ronnie James Dio are in short supply these days. It is refreshing to share his inspiring story of believing in yourself and chasing your dreams. As life-long DIO fans, it is incredibly humbling to bring Ronnie’s journey to the screen and we can’t wait to share it with audiences.”

Rhino/WMG will release the soundtrack from “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” in the fall.

2008 founded Finnish technical death metal band RASTER DENSITY has played brutal technical death metal for almost 15 years. Their unique perspective to death metal is based on fierce blasting and complex guitar riffs that engage with delicate melodies that push the compositions forward. Lyrics are based on true stories.

The upcoming third full length “Apothecary’s Tome ov Depravity and Filth” shall be released later this autumn and the third single “Death Measured in Milligrams” from the album is now out on music services! The track represents the melodic and more traditional death metal side of the album. But it also include maybe the most chaotic riff that the composer Luukas Savolainen has ever made.

“As a composition Death Measured in Milligrams is a pure presentation of using Guitar Pro.” Savolainen comments.

TONIC BREED Releases Music Video ‘No Rocks on the Scotch’, New EP Out Now, Ft. Guests from Megadeth, Soilwork, Kamelot + More

Norway’s TONIC BREED having burning up mosh pits this summer since unleashing their latest EP “Fuel The Fire” this past July. The EP includes guest appearances from Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Bernt Jansen (Artch/Wig Wam), Björn Strid (Soilwork), Martin Skriubakken (Endezzma) and Oliver Palotai (Kamelot).

Today, in support of the EP, Tonic Breed is pouring one for the fans to drink up with the partially animated music video for “No Rocks on the Scotch” featuring guest vocals by Björn Strid (Soilwork) and drums by Martin Skriubakken (Endezzma).

“Björn Strid pushes the limits on the chorus to places I never will be able to vocally. This song has some serious groove elements. This song has the sound I always wanted and is the reason why I chose Viktor Gullichsen to do the mix and engineering on Fuel the Fire as well.” adds Tonic Breed‘s Patrik K. Svendsen.

Tonic Breed was established in 2006 as a full on thrash quartet that abruptly disbanded in 2019. With much thought by founding member Patrik K. Svendsen, he decided to take the reins to reinvent the band and keep its candle burning for its next release as part of its new chapter. The outcome is now a one thrash army led by Svendsen with support from metal friends to give metalheads raw, energetic hard-hitting thrash, with melodic and groovy elements.

The four-track EP was recorded over 18 months with multiple sound engineers from different countries, along with various guest musicians.

“I believe the EP will not disappoint the Tonic Breed fanbase. The starter songs are right up there in the alley they would expect. However, some new elements here and there might cause disagreements. But, after listening to the release, I believe one impression that fans will have is that there is a significant difference between the songs. For some, maybe too much. Personally, I like those kind of dynamics.” says Svendsen.

Tonic Breed‘s new EP “Fuel the Fire” is available on all digital platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, globally released their highly anticipated ninth studio album, “AFTERLIFE” today. Listen to the album on your streaming platform of choice HERE. The title track, “AfterLife” shot to #1 on the Rock charts earlier this year and the album also features new single, “Times Like These ” which is currently climbing the charts. See full album tracklisting below. Today’s release is also highlighted by the launch of the brand new official music video for “Times Like These” which can be watched HERE. Speaking on the band’s latest release guitarist Zoltan Bathory shares:

‘Afterlife’ is my favorite Five Finger Death Punch record to date and it was also the most fun to make. If the previous album “F8″ was dubbed as the “rebirth” of the band, then this one is our “transcendence” for sure. One of the most difficult achievements for a traditional “drums-guitars-bass-vocals” rock band is to establish a recognizable signature sound. The second most difficult thing is to keep evolving while holding on to that signature sound. I believe for us, AfterLife isn’t just an evolution but possibly even a paradigm shift in our career, because this record is so vastly different from all the previous ones, yet it still unmistakably sounds like us. Very proud of this one and can’t wait to share it, our fans are in for a few surprises.”

“AFTERLIFE” is available on all streaming platforms, in cd- and cassette format and in various limited vinyl editions across the globe, as well as a limited collector’s edition lenticular cover cd exclusive at Walmart. Check out the various vinyl editions HERE. In addition, an exclusive brand new “AFTERLIFE” merchandise collection, as well as limited edition red apple color vinyl is available at the official Five Finger Death Punch webstore.

5FDP have amassed over 8 billion streams to date. “AFTERLIFE” is the highly anticipated follow-up release to their 2020 album, F8 which debuted at #1 on rock charts around the world and Top 10 on the Mainstream charts in the USA, Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and more. To date, the band have achieved 25 TOP 10 HIT SINGLES and recently broke the record for most consecutive Mainstream Rock Airplay #1 hits. Their music videos have garnered over 3 BILLION VIDEO VIEWS and the band has SOLD OVER 1 MILLION TICKETS between 2018 and 2020 alone. The band has over 10 MILLION FOLLOWERS across social media and are currently the 3RD BIGGEST ARTIST IN THE HARD ROCK SPACE measured by total consumption (sales and streams), surpassed only by Metallica and AC/DC.

Five Finger Death Punch will appear on screen in the upcoming Better Noise Films movie, The Retaliators in theaters starting September 14. Their song “Darkness Settles In” is featured on the soundtrack which is out September 16. Presale tickets for the movie and more information can be found via RETALIATORSMOVIE.COM.

Earlier this week Five Finger Death Punch also announced that they will be joining forces with multi-platinum country rock artist, Brantley Gilbert this fall for a massive US arena tour with support from newcomer Cory Marks.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will kick off in Grand Rapids on November 9th and hit 20 more cities before wrapping up in Las Vegas on December 17th. See the full fall tour routing below. For tickets and more info, please visit fivefinderdeathpunch.com or brantleygilbert.com.

The upcoming fall run is not the first time Five Finger Death Punch and Brantley Gilbert have joined forces. The two artists brought the worlds of hard rock and country rock together when they partnered on their global #1 hit, “Blue On Black” in 2019. The track also featured the song’s original performer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, as well as Brian May on guitar and was in support of The Gary Sinise Foundation, to benefit first responders. To date, the collaboration has garnered over 110 million YouTube views and 62 million Spotify streams, proving that this very special tour should not be missed by fans of either artist!

CONAN Celebrate Album Release with New Single & Lyric Video ‘Ritual Of Anonymity’

Bow down and hail CONAN, as England’s doom metal masters strike back again: Following their much acclaimed 2018 full-length, Existential Void Guardian, and their Live at Freak Valley record released just last year, the trio’s fifth studio album, Evidence of Immortality, is out now on Napalm Records!

CONAN’s new magnum opus overruns you like a steamroller. The British kings of brutally heavy slowness push their down-tuned axes and cranked pedals to the limit, crushing ears and minds when huge, rumbling chords and malevolent riffs muscle their way in over lances of infinite distortion and drums that pummel and thunder like the hands of a god against the gates of hell. As previously released album singles proved, CONAN are the masters of their craft, while Jon Davis spits his lyrics over the uber-synchronized power chord changes and tempo shifts of the unholy trio of bass, drums and guitar.

To celebrate their new album in style, today, CONAN have shared a colossal new single, “Ritual Of Anonymity”, alongside a lyric video.

Says Jon Paul Davis:
““Hey everyone, this is Jon. So, the album is out and soon to be in your hands, and then your ears. We are excited for you hear what we have created, so set some time aside, turn this up and enjoy. We also created a third video, this time for ‘Ritual of Anonymity’.

KILL KILL KILL.”

Evidence of Immortality was produced by Chris Fielding and mastered by James Plotkin. The album also sees former band member Dave Perry perform on the track “Grief Sequence”. The album’s artwork was provided by the skilled hand and mind of Tony Roberts, architect of the CONAN visual style since day one and their debut release, Horseback Battle Hammer.

“Evidence of Immortality was written between December 2019 and late 2021. As such, it has absorbed a lot of the emotions that were flowing through our lives then,” Davis explains. “The lyrics were written on the eve of the war in Ukraine so, naturally, they deal with subjects such as victory and defeat, loss and hope, pain and determination, fear and hatred. Movies such as Conquest, Lord of The Rings, Fire and Ice, Krull, Beast Master and Clash of The Titans once again provided inspiration for the themes of the songs, as we maintain our determination to not write about real world events. You want to escape? Throw this record on, turn the lights off and turn it up until your fucking ears bleed.”

OCEANHOARSE Release New Single ‘Nails’; to Tour Europe with SOEN

After the release of their debut album “Dead Reckoning” in 2021 via Noble Demon, followed by several single releases, OCEANHOARSE like to stay busy and are perhaps one of the most notable and hardworking newcomers out there right now. This is also proven by the latest single of the quartet from Helsinki, which already gives a remarkable first glimpse into a new album the band is currently working on! “Nails” is not only a powerful and melodic heavy metal banger, as we are used to from Oceanhoarse, but also features Martin Lopez from Swedish progressive metal masters SOEN on percussion!

Listen to “Nails” HERE

Ben Varon comments:

“We went into the writing of the second Oceanhoarse album knowing that we wanted to expand on our sound from the debut, and also to have even more of a raw, live feel to the music. ‘Nails’ is a good example of this, as it’s something way more melodic than the material on our first album. We’re playing with dynamics much more this time around, which really helps with the mood of the song.“

He continues:

“Getting Martin Lopez to play percussion on this album was such a cool thing. Especially for myself, as I’ve been a huge fan of his playing ever since I first discovered Opeth’s ‘Still Life’ album. We had a couple of songs that we felt could really use some percussion on them, and Martin was kind enough to lend his talents. ‘Nails’ was already one of my favourite of all the new songs, and Mr Lopez’s percussion work was the icing on the cake!”

Furthermore, Oceanhoarse will soon embark on an extensive European tour in support of fellow Swedes SOEN. Tickets are on sale now and the dates are as follows:
