CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX Reveal New Song ‘Everything is Beautiful But Us’

Progressive rock collective CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX will be releasing a brand new album, ‘Banefyre,’ on September 9 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing the second new single from the offering, “Everything is Beautiful But Us,” at THIS LOCATION.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX mastermind Justin Greaves explains, “Although this is not a ‘lock down’ song, Belinda’s lyrics were certainly inspired by the lack of human activity we found when the first lock down began. We were going for walks where I live in the countryside and the silence was amazing, the air seemed more fresh and there was a definite increase of wildlife activity. So it made us both realise more than ever how ugly we are as a race, humans basically ruin everything.

“Musically this is one of my personal faves on the new album, ‘BANEFYRE, The Musical!’ It plays an integral part in the sound journey, it’s simple but powerful. Very CBP.”

Singer/percussionist Belinda Kordic adds, “Justin sent me the demo with the title, I thought the song was beautiful, so I couldn’t just plonk down (write) just anything. It had to be right. The inspiration for the song hit me during the first wave of Covid. When I was over visiting Justin in the UK, and I couldn’t get back home for quite some time due to travel restrictions. So, we were spending a lot of time outside in the countryside and i was amazed at the quick turn nature took for the better, as soon as humans were removed out of the equation.

“The increased symphony of birdsong, bumble bees the size of my fist turning up in the garden, animals coming out of hiding and popping up here, there and everywhere. Nature and its inhabitants were thriving to the very fullest. As they should.

“It was beautiful, but also sad at the same time. knowing that when we get back to ‘normal,’the destruction continues.”

Pre-orders for ‘Banefyre’ are now live HERE while the album can be pre-saved across digital streaming services HERE.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX previously announced new European tour dates in support of the new album, together with label mates IMPURE WILHELMINA and MØL. A full list of confirmed shows can be found below.

Psychedelic rock icons MONSTER MAGNET are pleased to announce the reissue of two seminal albums in their vast discography on limited edition vinyl – 2004’s Monolithic Baby! and 2007’s 4-Way Diablo – both of which have been out of print and unavailable digitally for years! Pre-orders for both the digital and vinyl editions of both albums are available now, set for release on September 16, 2022.

MONSTER MAGNET mastermind Dave Wyndorf says about the reissues:
“It’s great to see these two albums back in circulation again. The MONSTER MAGNET universe isn’t complete without them! Monolithic Baby! is a big, glitzy (and purposefully cynical, but aren’t they all?) rock and roll record, and listening to it now reminds me of that time – the beginning of the 21st century. Even then I knew things were gonna get weird!

4 Way Diablo is a collection of songs I wrote between tours in the early 2000s but couldn’t find a place for. They piled up fast, and pretty soon, there was an album. It turns out there’s some of my favorite Magnet songs there!”

2004 saw the release of MONSTER MAGNET’s sixth studio album Monolithic Baby!, the follow-up to 2000’s God Says No, which cemented the Red Bank, NJ rockers in the world of space rock and roll. This 14-track journey of masterful hard rock features 11 ripping originals and three cover songs recorded in true classic Magnet style, including covers of The Velvet Underground, David Gilmour and Robert Calvert.

Monolithic Baby! is being reissued on orange vinyl with white and black splatter, as well as in a limited glow in the dark vinyl variant! Don’t miss the album Ultimate Classic Rock calls, “a revitalized, fire-breathing MONSTER MAGNET” and AllMusic calls, “another collection of undeniably Wyndorfian tunes.”

Monolithic Baby! Track listing
1. Slut Machine
2. Supercruel
3. On The Verge
4. Unbroken (Hotel Baby)

Recorded in four different studios (Sound City Studios, American Studios, The Sunset Lodge and Hydeaway Studios) throughout 2006-2007, 4-Way Diablo is the seventh offering from legendary riff masters MONSTER MAGNET. Featuring rippers such as “Wall of Fire,” “You’re Alive,” and a cover of an obscure Rolling Stones song “2000 Lightyears From Home,” 4-Way Diablo is a true gem in the MONSTER MAGNET catalog.

4-Way Diablo is being reissued on white vinyl with gold and black splatter, as well in a limited, special glow in the dark vinyl variant! Don’t sleep on an album Blabbermouth called, “A mix of MAGNET styles old and new, it still bears the unmistakable stamp of one of stoner rock’s most identifiable and unique voices.”

4-Way Diablo Track listing
1. 4-Way Diablo
2. Wall Of Fire

Considered one of the most creative, diverse, and hard-rocking of contemporary American bands, MONSTER MAGNET is credited with pioneering “stoner rock”. They’re noted for the uniqueness of their sound, their authenticity as a band, their ability to grow musically, and the intelligence and wit of their songs – fusing garage rock, progressive rock, heavy metal, punk and psychedelia. In addition to musical influences, the band has always been inspired by comic book, science fiction, horror movies, and B-movies by filmmakers such as Roger Gorman and Russ Myer.

South African post metal band CONSTELLATIA is now releasing the official music video from “Empyrean,” which is taken from ‘The Language of Limbs.’ The video can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

CONSTELLATIA vocalist and bassist Keenan Oakes explains, “I remember us wanting to write a very basic song, structurally speaking, so it takes on the verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus form; a pop song in essence. Thematically, ‘Empyrean’ is about obsession and ecstasy, about unrelenting passion and being consumed by it all. The bridge is a musical highlight for us as a band so far, one of the special moments from ‘The Language of Limbs.’ It feels good to close the chapter on this first incarnation, and to look ahead to the future and more music!”

In addition, the band will officially reveal information regarding their upcoming new full-length, on August 15, 2022! Set your reminders and stay tuned for more!

‘The Language of Limbs’ was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The pressings are available in various formats HERE.

Track List:
1. All Nights Belong to You
2. In Acclamation
3. Empyrean
4. The Garden

Legendary, heavy metallers STRYPER have released their latest single “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” today July 21st off their upcoming album set for release later this year. This single release follows the successful release of first single “Rise To The Call,” on June 24th which has been receiving praise from press and fans alike in the buildup to the groups forthcoming album. This new album release, produced by front man Michael Sweet, firmly continues the trend established over the band’s last few albums, the new music sees the band growing heavier while also maintaining their trademark melodies, virtuoso guitar playing, and air tight rhythms.

When asked about their latest single “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” Stryper frontman Michael Sweet said, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” was, believe it or not, inspired by the health issues that Oz and I have been faced with. Despite our limitations, we were able to deliver an album that is powerful and relevant and “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” is the perfect track to showcase that. We could not be more excited about this album! The best is yet to come.”

Listen HERE.

When it comes to groundbreaking bands in the metal genre, Stryper is renowned for their distinctive brand of “heavenly metal,” extraordinary crossover success, and venerable endurance. The group ascended to prominence in the 1980s with Billboard Top 40 hits like “Calling on You,” “Honestly,” and “Always There for You” and has maintained a global fan base since. Stryper’s career album sales exceed 10 million worldwide, including 1986’s multi-platinum release To Hell with the Devil. The band also made history when it notched two songs simultaneously on MTV’s Top 10 with videos “Free” and “Honestly.” While Stryper is known for their Christian faith, their decades plus career in heavy metal has made them much more than just a ‘Christian metal’ band. Sure, that is part of who they are, but at the end of the day, they are simply a long-running and well respected heavy metal band with a late-career rebirth that has proved their enduring talent and musical skills are well intact.

Today, some 37+ years after emerging from the southern California nightclub scene, Stryper continues to record, tour and perform for loyal fans around the globe. With three original members including brothers Michael Sweet (lead vocals, guitar) and Robert Sweet (drums), Oz Fox (guitar) and newest bandmate, seasoned bassist Perry Richardson (formerly of Firehouse), the group finds itself creating their finest, most powerful music yet. Stay tuned to Stryper’s socials below for updates on the release of more singles in the build up to their forthcoming album as well as upcoming tour dates from the legendary metal group.

Finnish LAMORI Return with New Single & Video ‘Valley of Great Dismay’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 21, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: LAMORI. Leave a comment

Darker, heavier, grittier… ”Valley of Great Dismay” showcases a whole new side of LAMORI’s unique take on gloomy and dark gothic metal.

The song is a great representation of what to expect from the new heavier side of the upcoming album NEON BLOOD FIRE.

”I absolutely love this one”; says guitarist Marcus Pellas. ”It’s different, but in a good and headbanging way. I think it’s one of the best songs from the album”.

The song, which is the second single of the new album, also features an awesome lyric video to support the release.

Buy/Stream Valley of Great Dismay HERE

LAMORI has been developing their own take on the goth rock genre for over 10 years now. Combining gothic rock and metal with electronics and dark wave to produce their own neon-lit flavor. Founded in 2009 on the Aland Islands of Finland, the constellation has stayed unchanged – however, their sound is ever-evolving.
NEON BLOOD FIRE, the band’s fourth album to be released by Wormholedeath, will refine the soundscapes heard on the 2020 released NEO NOIR, but also introduce completely new elements to the mix. This album will have some of the heaviest LAMORI songs ever heard!
