Today, December 12, 2025 marks a new chapter in the journey of FOR MY DEMONS, a progressive dark metal band known as one of the most elegant and conceptually profound acts in the Italian alternative scene. The new single ‘9 Weeks’, released by Volcano Records & Promotion and available on all digital platforms, comes with a lyric video rich in symbolism and visual intensity, now streaming on the band’s official YouTube channel.
9 Weeks is a fragment of light and madness taken from the concept album Tristesse, inspired by the tormented life of Vincent van Gogh. The song tells the story of the nine weeks the painter spent in the famous Yellow House in Arles, where his encounter with Paul Gauguin soon turned into conflict, rupture, and silence. A crucial moment shaped by contrasting visions, colliding souls, art, and obsession. Musically, the track blends melodic elegance with narrative tension in a distinctive style that evokes the dark, introspective atmosphere of Katatonia, Soen, and Dream Theater, while filtered through a deeply personal sensibility. With its symbolic lyrical structure and layered musical composition, 9 Weeks stands as one of the most mature and expressive pieces by the band, uniting storytelling and emotional suggestion in a sonic form that transcends labels.
Rock/Metal Guitarist, Producer, Mixer, and longtime industry veteran “Steve Gordon MIA” has officially released the music video for his breakout single “BROKEN”, featuring powerhouse vocalist Ray West of Spread Eagle. The track has already made major noise at radio currently at #22 on Metal Contraband Radio Charts–and the new visual brings the song’s emotional intensity, modern heaviness, and cinematic atmosphere to life.
“BROKEN” marks the second collaboration between Gordon and West, following their acclaimed single “We Go To War,”that climbed to #18 on the Metal Charts and continues the sonic blueprint Gordon has spent years crafting: classic metal emotion delivered with hard hitting modern production.
The new video is the most fully realized chapter of the “Steve Gordon MIA” visual universe so far. Combining gritty cinematics, emotional narrative, and Gordon’s signature heavy aesthetic, the “BROKEN” video plunges viewers into the darker themes behind the song—pain, recovery, addiction, rebirth, survival and the razor-thin line between destruction and redemption. Ray West’s soaring performance is on fire, backed by Gordon’s relentless guitar work and massive mix, delivering a modern metal anthem—but unmistakably stamped with Gordon’s veteran sonic identity.
With deep New York roots, Steve Gordon MIA is a guitarist, songwriter, producer, and mixer. His sound merges the brutality of modern Metal with the precision and musicality only decades of top-tier experience can create.
STEVE GORDON MIA may be a newer solo name to many fans, but his fingerprints are all over the rock world & radio worldwide. A Grammy-nominated engineer, a 50+ Gold & Platinum guitarist, and a behind-the-scenes force across rock, metal, pop, R&B, and film, Gordon has played guitar for, Produced or Mixed:
Bon Jovi, Wu-Tang Clan, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Prince, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Morgan Wallen, Rob Thomas, Motley Crew/2 Live Crew (HanginWith The Homeboys Movie Soundtrack), Regina Belle, Matt Kramer (Saigon Kick), Inner Circle, and Tito Jackson, Phyllis Hyman, Betty Wright, Gregory Abbott, Dr. John, Rita Marley, Kirk Whalum, Najee, Walter Beasley, David Sanborn, Donell Jones, Aretha Franklin, Howard Hewitt, Natalie Cole, Bad Company (Brian Howe) & more.
In addition to his recording and session work, Gordon has placed over 30 songs in major films and soundtracks, including “The Little Things” starring Denzel Washington, “80 For Brady” starring Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin, and NFL legend Tom Brady, and “Mafia Mama” starring Toni Collette and Monica Bellucci. His work also extends to Disney movies & soundtracks, as well as placements across Netflix, HBO, and Paramount & Showtime, showcasing his versatility and wide-reaching impact. After decades shaping the sound of Icons & other artists, Gordon is now carving out his own lane—leading into the upcoming full-length album “In The Blink Of An Eye” that features world class internationally known Hard Rock Metal singers in the Hard Rock / Metal arena coming out January 2026). Gordon is also a Grammy-nominated engineer credited for the“Betty Wright & The Roots’ song titled “Surrender”.

LORD OF THE LOST are set to release their new album, OPVS NOIR Vol. 2, tomorrow, December 12, 2025 via Napalm Records. But before that, the German virtuosos open up their catalogue with another single, “Winter’s Dying Heart”, a grandiose ballad with a sad, yet beautifully captivating atmosphere. The accompanying video sees LORD OF THE LOST venture into uncharted territory: for the first time in the band’s history, they present an animated music video, created by film studio “Kotburschi Kollektiv”. Its story does not revolve around a season; rather, the title “Winter” is the name of the video’s protagonist, around whom the song’s lyrics are also woven.
Following the recent success of their co-headline tour with FEUERSCHWANZ and last month’s UK tour, LORD OF THE LOST are headed towards their very own festival. The next edition of LORDFEST takes place this Saturday, December 13, 2025 in their native Hamburg’s Sporthalle. Celebrated right after the album release side by side with PAIN, SETYØURSAILS, and PYOGENESIS, it will be a special release show, in which the headliner will also be joined by BEYOND THE BLACK for three songs. Next year, the band will tour across the USA, Canada and Australia, before returning to Europe for the recently announced ‘TOVR NOIR 2026’, with shows in 19 countries.
Chris Harms on “Winter’s Dying Heart”: “This song hurts in the most beautiful way. Bittersweet, slow, tough, like big waves in slow motion, hard and yet so melodic. Music like this is the best example that melancholy, at least for me, is a beautiful feeling that I can wrap myself in like a blanket when I feel like it. In addition, ‘Winter’s Dying Heart’ has a clear reference to real events, packaged in a modern fairy tale. A song that lives deep in the core of the overall feeling of the OPVS NOIR trilogy.”
Following their enchantingly colorful BLOOD & GLITTER, which earned them participation in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany, LORD OF THE LOST reinvent themselves yet again with OPVS NOIR. With OPVS NOIR Vol. 2, another 11 heartfelt songs join the three-part cycle, tying seamlessly into Vol. 1. With OPVS NOIR Vol. 2, the band delves deeper into their melancholic take on unravelling their innermost selves, adding a new hopeful layer to the wonderfully dark panorama already presented in OPVS NOIR Vol. 1.

Opening with dark yet catchy “The Fall From Grace”, LORD OF THE LOST immediately showcases their way with grand ballroom choruses weaved into grave melodies that will continue to sit enthroned on all the varied tracks until the last note of the ballad “Sharp Edges”. Joining in are guests ranging from scene favorites to top-tier musicians outside the metal genre. First up is INFECTED RAIN’s Lena Scissorhands, who refines the pitch-black “Would You Walk With Me Through Hell?” with the full range of her fierce, yet fragile vocals. Similarly, Anna Brunner of rising melodic metal stars LEAGUE OF DISTORTION and symphonic metal band EXIT EDEN lends her energetic voice to “Please Break The Silence”, inducing goosebumps – every talent is an important scene in OPVS NOIR’s grimly colorful movie for the ears. Unexpectedly, yet fittingly, Finnish rap artist KÄÄRIJÄ, runner-up at Eurovision 2023, turns “Raveyard” into a dancefloor with a mix of industrial, gothic, and Finnish rap—as if heralding the dawn of a new genre. The most moving collaboration is the opulent “What Have We Become?”, in which experimental artist IAMX meets Chris Harms for a cathartic duet.

Prepare for a fight! VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and WARKINGS unite for a mighty shared single, “Pirates & Kings”, forging their weapons for the upcoming co-headline tour of the same name. With a sweeping double vocal force and uplifting lyrics, the track showcases both the symphonic pirates’ and the power metal warriors’ strengths. Instantly opening with the impelling chorus, VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and WARKINGS craft an unmatched battle hymn. “Pirates & Kings” heats up the fight – be brave or be gone!
With their new song in tow, VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and WARKINGS prepare to embark on another journey together. Their eponymously named “Pirates & Kings Over Europe” Tour starts February 5, 2026. Kicking off in Pratteln (Switzerland), they play 21 cities all across the continent.
VISIONS OF ATLANTIS singer Clémentine Delauney on “Pirates & Kings?”: “This is no longer a time for division or competition. When threats and tensions rise, the answer is to unite and become allies. This year ends with fear and dark projections; next year is about showing the right response. Tyrants will not prevail, manipulation will not work. We will see through the smoke screen and claim our own truth. We believe that unity is strength. This is a time for collaboration, for opening ourselves to others, and for gathering like-minded souls. We can face anything when we stand with our tribe and our tribe is growing. We’re welcoming new warriors and shield-maidens aboard. Pirates and Kings are launching the movement, leading the charge. Now it’s your turn to join the call. Brave your fear, bring a friend, and reserve your seat for the most epic adventure, a place where a new world is forged, where courage is honored, where emotions run deep, and where your power is real.”
WARKINGS add: “When the tides of chaos swell and the winds whisper of war, the kings must look beyond their own thrones. So we joined forces with Visions of Atlantis — warriors of the endless sea — to remind the world that unity is the strongest weapon. ‚Pirates & Kings‘ is the pact we seal in fire and storm”

Milan-based death metal force ABBINORMAL release their long-awaited new album Italia’s Gore Talent, now available in both physical and digital formats via Ad Noctem Records.
Alongside the album launch, the band unveils the brand-new music video for “STOP!”, one of the most direct, furious and politically charged tracks on the record.
Speaking about the song, ABBINORMAL state: “STOP!’ is our personal scream of rage against any form of war. The saddest part is that talking about this topic today feels almost obvious and ordinary — which means that war and violence have become integral parts of our daily lives. In our own way, through the groove and power of this track, we express our total disgust toward all of this.”
Recorded at the renowned Toxic Basement Studios and completed in March, this record marks the band’s most ferocious, unhinged, and unpredictable chapter to date. Described by ABBINORMAL as “a grotesque and ferocious critique of the spectacle of violence and social distress – a true showcase of sonic madness in pure Abbinormal style”, Italia’s Gore Talent stands as a visceral soundtrack to modern decay.
ABBINORMAL’s frontman Eric states: “The wait is over! Italia’s Gore Talent is finally available in physical and digital formats! You can now dive into this insane sonic journey where we’ve poured all the rage of these past years. Italia’s Gore Talent is a true manifesto of criticism towards everything that is inevitably mutating and worsening around us, and this is the disturbing soundtrack we created to portray the downfall of our country. The extreme old-school Grindcore/Death/Hardcore roots collide with modern metal experimentation, building a claustrophobic journey into the depths of sonic rebellion. Open your minds and immerse yourselves with us in this kaleidoscope of extreme sounds”.
Two singles and videos paved the way to today’s release. Hippopotamus captures the essence of ABBINORMAL’s trademark extremity – speed, groove, attitude, and their unmistakable cutting irony – representing the band’s self-coined “Hellcore”, an explosive mix of ferocity and originality. Acid/Disease, the second single, reveals the most experimental side of the album, blending grindcore with doom, sludge, and ‘70s rock influences, enriched by a guest appearance from Momo of Di’Aul.
Visually, the band continues its collaboration with visionary artist Davide Scianca, whose disturbing and decadent artwork perfectly mirrors ABBINORMAL’s uncompromising identity.
Formed in 1996 and reborn in 2017 with a renewed lineup, ABBINORMAL have carved their own signature sound through a chaotic fusion of grindcore, death, and thrash metal. After 1996 (2019) and Grind Hotel (2023), Italia’s Gore Talent pushes their extremity and creative freedom even further. Over the years, the band has shared the stage with major international acts such as Gutalax, Crowbar, Left To Die, Terrorhammer, Hideous Divinity, Exilia, The Modern Age Slavery, Schizo, Hour Of Penance, Node, and Genus Ordinis Dei.
