Watch Joanne performing “Summertime” (Live) with Joe Bonamassa HERE.

Joanne will perform songs from her latest critically acclaimed album The Blues Album which topped Billboard Magazine’s Official Blues Album Chart. The album was also voted #1 Most Played Blues Album of 2021 by the Independent Blues Broadcaster’s Association. Joanne will also dig deep into her rich back catalogue where she will hand-pick songs from her albums Reckless Heart, Wild,The Dirty Truth, Almost Always Never, Diamonds in the Dirt, and White Sugar.

Over the past two decades, Joanne has proven herself as a prolific songwriter, releasing seven acclaimed albums under her belt, each increasingly more successful with her 2019 album Reckless Heart breaking into the UK Top 20 Album Chart and cementing herself as one of the most important guitar exports in British blues-rock.

In 2021, Joanne recorded her seventh studio album The Blues Album, produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith at Oceanway Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The album was released on Bonamassa’s independent record label KTBA Records on September 24, 2021. The album topped the Billboard Official Blues Chart. The album received across-the-board rave reviews worldwide.

The album features Joanne’s personalised covers of 11 rare blues classics immortalised by Albert King, Peter Green, Little Richard, Magic Sam, Aretha Franklin, Little Milton, and many more.

“I’d known from the beginning of my recording career that one day I wanted to record an album of blues covers, I just wasn’t sure when the right time to do that would be,” says Joanne. “I’ve always found it far easier to write my own material than come up with creative ways to make other artists’ material my own.”

When the pandemic put the brakes on from musicians from touring during 2020 and 2021, Joanne thought it was the right time to head into the studio to record The Blues Album.

“We wanted to make a tough vocal centric straight blues record that showcased Joanne’s amazing talent but in a slightly different light,” explains Bonamassa. “Josh and I tested Joanne’s limits and pushed boundaries.”

On June 10, 2022, Joanne released the live album and concert film Blues From The Heart Live. Filmed and recorded at The Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee, the special concert film, and album includes sixteen tracks and features incredible guest performances from Mike Farris, and Joe Bonamassa, plus aspecial guest performance from Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The album topped Billboard Magazine’s Official Blues Chart.

BURDEN OF THE SKY Release Official Music Video for ‘The Flood’; Announce Tour with SEVENDUST

BURDEN OF THE SKY released the official music video for their single “The Flood.” The band will be touring on Sevendust’s “Animosity Tour” in September of 2022.

“When we began writing ‘The Flood’ we were in a dark headspace. We were angry and mournful after the passing of our guitarist and founding member Bradford Shaw. Our only goal was to write a song that we could pour our soul and emotions into in honor of our fallen brother. Once we had a demo put together, we reached out to Blake (SAUL) and Morgan (Sevendust) and told them our story. We asked them to contribute their own experiences and emotions to the song and the result was better than we could have ever asked for,” says Scottie James.

He adds, “’The Flood’ is symbolic of all of the struggles in life, our demons that try to bring us down and swallow us whole; the ever-looming darkness and misery that is held back by our own will that inevitably will come crashing through the second we let our guard down. This song is our way of saying we will stand our ground — strong, fierce, and determined — in solidarity against anything life throws our way; even though we know we cannot win, we will fight for what we believe in until our last breath.”

Having hit the stage with acts such as Sevendust, Ice Nine Kills, A Day To Remember, I Prevail, Nothing More, Asking Alexandria and more, the band continues to show they belong on the big stage. Their debut album, Cinis Ad Cinis, featured the single “Same Old Page”, which has amassed millions of streams since its 2017 release. Sophomore album Sine Timore was led by “Sirens”, which was featured on many top Spotify playlists, gaining over a million streams. Most recently, the band released a cover of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights”, as well as original single “Whiteout”, which was featured on Apple Music’s “Breaking Hard Rock” playlist.

2022 will bring multiple single releases that were produced and co-written with the likes of Morgan Rose (Sevendust) and Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills, Hawk), including the newest single “The Flood” featuring Rose and Blake Bedsaul (Saul).

Burden of the Sky is:
Scottie James – Lead Vocals
Josh Appel – Guitar
TJ Duckwiler – Guitar/Vocals
Rick Streeter – Drums
Dustin Tritsch – Bass
Mike Mahoney – Keys

6. Interlude (1:09)

“Controlled chaos?” Lorenzo pauses for a song before finally looking right through you with his piercing eyes and slowly answering: “yes, I like the sound of that, it sums up pretty much what they stand for. Chaos with a sense if you will.”

The guitarist and vocalist of the Ravena-based band HIEROPHANT isn’t one to bury you under bigmouth statements and empty words. But when he says he thinks Death Siege is “the best thing we ever did and the one album when HIEROPHANT really comes on its own”, you know he means it.

Since their previous album, and first for SEASON OF MIST, Mass Grave in 2016 – originally described as a “vicious” mix of black sludge and death metal – many things have happened. It started with the release two years later of a two-track EP called Spawned Abortions “a good indication of where we were going but still not quite there”.

The band’s fourth full-length Death Siege was written during the first months of the pandemic, from March 2020 until May 2021, a dark period described by Lorenzo as a “long fucking long process but it was worth it. Until then, we were maybe missing a bit proper song structures and arrangements. In retrospect, Mass Grave is more grind-ish whereas the new is far more metal and riff-oriented. The songs are longer and have more things happening in them, the album is overall far more ambitious and more, well, musical

He concedes that HIEROPHANT started out more or less as “some kind of hardcore band, but with metal influences”, especially since Lorenzo has been also playing bass for THE SECRET since 2011, even if they haven’t been “very active” for a couple of years. “With HIEROPHANT, we actually signed our first contract originally with a hardcore/punk focused label called BRIDGE NINE. Originally, we had another line-up with a fulltime singer and we sounded like a very pissed off D-beat/crust band. But already in the back of my head, I had other plans. And when our frontman left in 2015, I took over the microphone as well and that’s when we started to evolve. To me, Mass Grave was a transitional record, it caught us midway if you will. But now with Death Siege we’ve finally reached our destination. And while we made a name of ourselves in the scene, I believe it’s truly the album that will take us a step further.”

Death Siege is full of war metaphors, lyrics about complete annihilation (‘Seeds Of Vengeance’, ‘Devils Incarnate’, Bloodbath Compendium’ etc.) and “fire, hatred and endless void. The sub-title for it could have been ‘impending doom’, it’s like you know something awful it’s going to happen and sweep the plate clean but no matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to stop it. That’s how I want the listeners to feel when they listen to this record.” He pauses before adding with his iron will look, “one could say that the album general state-of-mind is ‘no mercy, kill everybody’. Yep, that sums it up about right.” Are you ready?

SAINT DIABLO Ask What It Means to Be a Real Patriot in New ‘Odio’ Music Video

Revolutions begin with whispers in the wilderness… so if/when the 1st shot of the second American Civil War is inevitably taken, which side of the battle will you be on? Savage Latin metal band SAINT DIABLO have just revealed a new music video and single entitled “Odio“, which asks tough questions like what it means to be a patriot addressing societal issues currently dividing the United States of America. The video was directed by Hunter Chapman at Veterans Coastal Media.

“We wrote this song about the uneasy division within our American Society beginning in early 2017 through present time” says lead vocalist Tito Quinones. “We have witnessed a lot of ups and downs in our American Zeitgeist but had never witnessed the closest thing to a second American Civil War. At first, we thought things would settle down and the song would be less of a reflection of us as Americans. Unfortunately, the cultural temperature just kept rising. We saw people on both sides of the political spectrum making the same arguments about what it meant to be a patriot and what it meant to simply be a good person.”

Guitarist Justin Adams explains further, “Odio (or hatred) is the poison we are all chocking on, and it seems to be the most constant catalyst that leads society’s collective behavior. At times it feels like the only way to survive and overcome generations of abuse and injustice is to start using the techniques strategies of the perceived enemy. This is further antagonized by the idea that those with little to lose have everything to gain. As a result, extremism on both ends of the spectrum quickly starts to become the default position. In doing so however, all we do is feed the Odio and increase the temperature of the modern drama and leaves blood and death on all our hands. There has to be a better way to stand to against our confused brothers and sisters and plead to their better angels without destroying them or each other in the process. Because if not, all we are doing is just feeding the Odio until there is nothing left to feed it.”

Saint Diablo have chosen to pledge allegiance to the revolution and the resistance (la Resistencia – la Revolución), fighting alongside those who are champions of inclusivity and warriors for equity and social justice and they’re taking it to the streets this month on a short run of live dates with Artusha and The Plan. Two-time Grammy nominated guitarist, Sin Quirin, continues to forge epic percussive singles with his new band, SIGLOS. SIGLOS features the transcendent strings of Sin Quirin, former iconic Ministry band member of 15 years, and the demanding vocals of Pedro Sanchez from the band Transtorno.

Their latest single, Morir Para Vivir, is a rhythmic, explosive song reminiscent of tribal chants that harken to the band’s Latin heritage. This song ramps up the bloodstream and differs from their first single in the undeniable heaviness it induces in listeners. The song was written by Sin Quirin, with lyrics written by Pedro Sanchez, and was produced, mixed, and mastered by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound. The video was directed by Matt Zane, DP/ Colorist James Smith.

Listen to Morir Para Vivir on Bandcamp: https://siglos.bandcamp.com/releases

What the music industry is saying about Sin Quirin (SIGLOS)

“Sin is a singularly unique talent, underrated guitar hero, and a key dynamic member of every project he’s done, and I can’t wait to hear what he does next! I know it’s going to be stellar!”

Gary Holt

“Sin has been a solid back bone to everything he’s been involved in and it’s great to see him stepping out now to do his own thing. He is a true rockstar in every sense of the word”

David Ellefson

“SIGLOS, Dark, Powerful, Magic!

Listening to SIGLOS brings all this and more weaving through the stories of old and bridging through to the world of today. Hypnotic vocals and entrenching melodies prove SIGLOS to be a Dark Force for the future worldwide.”

Por Los Siglos is representative of a rebirth, akin to a heavy metal big bang. Pedro Sanchez says of the single, “The time is now and our ancestors have been waiting for this. For the ages, Por Los Siglos. For the ages to break ourselves free and in doing so, we are able to free our ancestors and future generations from the chains of our past karmas.”

The dawn of SIGLOS is the result of divine timing and the unyielding will to have a hand in cosmic creation without rules. In the words of Sin Quirin, “The music from SIGLOS comes from the cosmic world, where the stars have aligned and not just by coincidence. My vision and understanding of this project is that it’s a divine timing and we have messages, perceptions, emotions to be shared, to be touched by the masses…The music resonates in me and I am able to express and speak in the language of the soul.” Pedro Sanchez feels the same, calling it “Magic that he and Sin are able to create together as a band and as a tribe”. He comments, “It’s a great pleasure and honor to be picked up and be chosen to do this collaboration. We are both hard workers, creators of reality, and believers of the work we do.”

The raw chords and heavy compositions of SIGLOS are influenced by every sight, sound and emotion ever experienced by Sin.. Experience the relentless fervor of SIGLOS in their first single Por Los Siglos can be found on all streaming platforms. SIGLOS continues to work on new music. Expect to hear more from them soon.

About SIGLOS:

It features Sin Quirin from Ministry, RevCo, American Head Charge, Society 1 and 3 Headed Snake and Pedro Sanchez from Transtorno.
