As anticipation continues to build for MEGADETH’s final studio album—out January 23, 2026 via DAVE MUSTAINE’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label)—the metal titans have today (December 19) released the latest single and video for “Let There Be Shred!” The track is a rapid-fire manifesto with jaw-dropping riffs and “a tsunami of sound,” to quote a lyric from the song. Directed by Keith Leman, the video features DAVE participating in a mixed martial arts battle alongside live performance footage that highlights the track’s fretboard ferocity.  Watch the video HERE and listen to the song HERE.

“When Megadeth started we said we would be fast and furious…we said so on the flyers we handed out,” DAVE MUSTAINE says.  “This song is fast and furious. Know it! It has a very hooky chorus that draws you in and you can’t help but play air guitar and headbang to this one.

“It’s the second video from the new record that we made with Keith [Leman], who also directed ‘I Don’t Care.’  It was a blast to make and it’s a tribute to my first Sensei, Benny ‘The Jet’ Urquidez and my Professor, Reggie Almieda.  Everyone on the set was really stoked to see each of us do our stunts. In the end, we got the balance of shredding and ass kicking just right!”

Meanwhile, MEGADETH are preparing for a busy month with a series of events leading up to the album’s release, along with the launch of their final tour, including:

•    MEGADETH have teamed with Trafalgar Releasing for MEGADETH: BEHIND THE MASK, a cinematic legacy event that will debut on screens worldwide Thursday, January 22—on the eve of the album’s January 23 release. The film will screen in over 1,000 cinemas across 35+ countries.  Read more HERE.

•    The group have also announced an exclusive, day-long immersive celebration LET THERE BE SHRED: THE ULTIMATE MEGADETH IMMERSIVE LISTENING EVENT set for Saturday, January 17 in La Vergne, TN (just outside Nashville).  MEGADETH will host fans for an unforgettable look inside the band’s world with a jam-packed day that will offer attendees the opportunity to get closer to the band, the music, the stories, and the legacy than ever before.  Read more HERE.

•    On the live front, MEGADETH will kick off their farewell tour in North America with a cross-country headlining tour of Canada launching February 15 in Victoria, BC and include stops in Calgary, Winnipeg, and Ottawa before wrapping March 6 in Quebec City, QC.  Read more HERE.

Leading up to the new album, MEGADETH—Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari (Lead, Rhythm, and Acoustic Guitars), James LoMenzo (Bass Guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (Drums)—have released two tracks:  “I Don’t Care” out (watch the video HERE); “Tipping Point,” the album’s first single (watch the video HERE).  MEGADETH have also announced a very special bonus track from the album:  a reimagined version of “Ride The Lightning,” which MUSTAINE co-wrote with Metallica’s James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich and was the title track from the group’s 1984 album.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, MUSTAINE revealed in a social post directly shared with his worldwide fanbase and Cyber Army that the forthcoming album will mark the final studio album from MEGADETH, who’ve sold over 50 million records worldwide and received a GRAMMY® Award (with 12 additional nominations).  He shared the announcement of the album and tour via his alter ego Vic Rattlehead.

About Megadeth
MEGADETH are always and forever the point of no return for metal. It would be nearly impossible to conceive where heavy music and culture would’ve gone without the band founded, fronted, and fueled by vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Dave Mustaine. The blast radius of their impact has only magnified since 1983. Thus far, they have sold 50 million records worldwide, received a GRAMMY® Award (with 12 additional nominations), generated billions of streams, notched seven Top 10 entries on the Billboard 200, and enthralled millions of diehard fans in arenas and stadiums across the globe. Their catalog spans indisputable classics such as the platinum Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? (cited at #8 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”), the platinum Rust In Peace, and double-platinum Countdown To Extinction, which captured #2 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Dystopia notched a Top 3 debut and earned a GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Metal Performance” with its title track. They only upped the ferocity with The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! in 2022. It saw them return to #3, receive a “Best Metal Performance” GRAMMY® Award nomination for “We’ll Be Back,” and incite rave reviews. Their influence can be felt practically everywhere—whether it be Post Malone proudly sporting a tattoo of “So Far, So Good… So What!,” Homer Simpson’s iPod displaying their moniker during an episode, or Showtime’s smash hit series Billions and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey utilizing MEGADETH in plot points. The band have delivered simultaneously relevant and timeless records in five decades now, setting the pace for the thrash renaissance of the eighties, tearing through the MTV years of the nineties with swagger and style, maintaining their stride in the post-Y2K 2000s, elevating to canonical heights in the social media and streaming era of the 2010s, and unassumingly harnessing the uncertainty and unease of the Post-Pandemic world into their boldest, biggest, and best work yet.

Along the way, MEGADETH extended their influence even further. During 2016, the band entered the spirits world with their very first signature beer À Tout Le Monde followed by Saison 13 in 2019. The brand asserted itself as a player in the beverage space and impressively moved over 15 million pints. Joining forces with Keystone in 2025, they ignite the next phase of Megadeth Beer on the biggest global platform yet.

Beyond his role as a music icon, Dave founded the visionary wine brand HOUSE OF MUSTAINE which uniquely blends music, culture, and fine winemaking.  The brand launched with the 2013 Symphony Interrupted Cabernet Sauvignon which was inspired by Dave Mustaine’s groundbreaking collaboration with the San Diego Symphony.

WORM Release New Single / Music Video ‘Blackheart’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on December 21, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Worm. Leave a comment
Artwork By Andreas Marschall

Necromantic black doom creators WORM reveal “Blackheart” – a descent into the nether vaults of the Necropalace. As you make your way down the crypts and catacombs beneath the castle, you will find Nightfang’s resting place. Beside his black coffin sits the “Blackheart”. Encased in ice and glowing blood red. This occult artifact pumps life into the ancient palace walls and keeps the vampire lord immortal…

“Blackheart” is Worm’s second single and part two of their official Necropalace short film series heavily inspired by their obsession with horrors from the 80s and 90s. Director Norman Cabrera (Danzig, Walking Dead, Fright Night II), Producer Maya Kay, Colorist Alex Nicolaou (Drab Majesty), all with direction from Ted Nicolaou (TerrorVision, Subspecies) continue to bring Worm’s dark fantasy into a reality with “Necropalace” and now, “Blackheart”. Vocalist Phantom Slaughter shares, “We consider this to be a gothic vampire love ballad. Sharing a different kind of emotion and color than the rest of the record. The lyrics touch on the isolation and loss one feels as a child of the night. Musically, ‘Blackheart’ fuses Avant-garde music era Katatonia and their love of Fields Of The Nephilim with icy AOR like FM (UK), Strangeways, and Harem Scarem. We could not leave behind our Floridian heritage so there are also frozen swamp nods to Death (Symbolic) as well as Crimson Glory.”

Watch / Share “Blackheart” Short Film | Listen / Playlist

Worm’s sonic palette roots in nearly every worthy corner of extreme metal’s history – from the grandiose heights of ‘90s symphonic black metal to the emotional technicality of ‘80s shred metal. Since their lauded full-length Foreverglade, the Floridian band have only grown more powerful, showcasing a level of grandiose songcraft that is beyond modern compare. On Necropalace, Worm has managed to do what many others in this day and age can only attempt: They walk backwards into the future.

Necropalace lives in a world of its own. A world of lush velvet and ostentatious gold, covered in the dust of time. A world where shadows seem to move in your peripheral vision, yet the loneliness never ceases. A world where wounds of the flesh may heal, but those of the heart never do.

Enter if you dare, but know now the consequences of your choice. Through the opulent finality of album closer “Witchmoon: The Infernal Masquerade” – featuring guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman – Necropalace is truly the sonic representation of unbridled nightbound maleficence! The album manifests itself as the soundscape to a star laden winter night sky reflecting off the Everglades’ darkest slough; where death meets the deathless. This album is a vociferous call to action for anyone who still possesses ancient vampiric blood in their veins. Prepare yourself for a full force attack of zealous guitar agility and heretic spellcraft. The gates are now open.

Rise now, for the night is nigh!

Pre-Order / Pre-Save Necropalace

Necropalace was produced by Charlie Koryn (Morbid Angel) and mixed / mastered by Arthur Rizk (King Diamond, Blood Incantation, Sumerlands, Cavalera, Soulfly). It sees its release February 13, 2026 via Century Media.

Necropalace Tracklist:
1 – Gates to the Shadowzone (Intro)
2 – Necropalace
3 – Halls of Weeping
4 – The Night Has Fangs
5 – Dragon Dreams
6 – Blackheart
7 – Witchmoon – The Infernal Masquerade (Feat. Marty Friedman)

PSYCHOPUNCH Unleash Chaotic Christmas Standalone Single & Video ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’

Just when you thought the holiday season couldn’t get any louder, messier or more unhinged, PSYCHOPUNCH return with a standalone Christmas single and video – their own raw, reckless and gloriously twisted take on “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”.

Recorded and released in true Psychopunch fashion – last minute, unpolished and fueled by pure panic – the band’s festive offering is everything a punk’n’roll Christmas anthem should not be… and exactly what fans expect. Fast, dirty and soaked in attitude, this version strips the song of any seasonal comfort and replaces it with distortion, sarcasm and barely contained chaos.

The band comment in their own words: “It’s raw, it’s rushed, unpolished and it probably sounds like we recorded it in a damp bomb shelter (actually we did)… but hey – it’s got spirit! The spirit of panic and poor time management!”

Accompanied by an equally irreverent official video, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” captures Psychopunch at their most spontaneous and unapologetic – a no-rules holiday release made purely for fun, noise and survival instinct.

So crank it up, spill your eggnog, and if you hear jingle bells… it’s either Santa – or the neighbors calling the cops.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, YOU FILTHY ANIMALS.

Genus Ordinis Dei proudly announce the release of Sweet Magick, a powerful new single featuring the unmistakable voice of Roy Khan. The track will be available worldwide on Friday, December 19, marking a pivotal moment in the unfolding narrative of the band’s upcoming concept album, The Land East of Eden.

Listen to Sweet Magick worldwide: https://genusordinisdei.bfan.link/sweet-magic

Sweet Magick represents a unique convergence of artistic worlds. Dark, seductive, and deeply narrative, the song explores temptation, beauty, and damnation within the mythological framework that defines The Land East of Eden. Musically, it balances shadow-laden atmospheres, heavy modern riffing, and an evocative melodic core, acting as a bridge between worlds, eras, and souls.

Nick K comments: “Having Roy Khan on ‘Sweet Magick’ was a dream come true. His voice lent depth and authenticity to this character, elevating the song beyond what we had imagined. This track is temptation, beauty, and damnation wrapped into one moment of the story.”

Roy Khan adds: “Working with Genus Ordinis Dei was a very inspiring experience. Their vision is strong and dark yet beautiful, and the songs are deeply narrative. ‘Sweet Magick’ immediately spoke to me. I enjoyed exploring this character and being part of such an ambitious and atmospheric project.”

Tommy shares: “Having your favourite singer ever in one of your songs is a privilege that a few musicians have had. I am one of them, and I’m proud to share this luck with Nick, Nico, and all of our fans. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Mr. Roy Khan!”

Lyrically and conceptually, “Sweet Magick” deepens the lore of The Land East of Eden, an opera built on myth, blood, and memory. As one of its key chapters, the song echoes ancient voices and primeval truths: “The longest memory. I speak of the First Time, of the most ancient Father.”

With this release, Genus Ordinis Dei take another decisive step toward the full unveiling of their ambitious new album, while honoring a collaboration born from mutual respect and shared vision.

Genus Ordinis Dei extend their gratitude to Roy Khan for walking this path with them and to all listeners who choose to become part of this journey.

Silent night, ROARING night! CORELEONI loudly toll the bell for the festive season with their brand new digital offering: “Live at Hallenstadion Zurich” is out now via PERCEPTION – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, and available for streaming on several platforms.

Following two singles – ‘Sick & Tired’ & ‘Like It Or Not,’ both taken from their first original album “III” [2022] – the international lion pride’s focus lays on a classic track today. ‘Firedance’ is one out of seven GOTTHARD songs CORELEONI performed on July 3, 2025 for this release and kick-started the final third of their energising set with unrivalled joy of playing.

“This is one of the most important ‘first GOTTHARD era’ songs: it’s a heavy and melodic mid-tempo track recalling strong 70s and 80s vibes. ‘Firedance’ delivers great vocal and musical parts, accompanied by one the heaviest and funniest guitar solo, which was catapulted into live heaven on this recording,” adds guitarist Jgor Gianola.

These history-charged 40 minutes simply had to be captured for eternity – not only for the 7,000 attending fans to relive the event but also for CORELEONI’s and hard rock fans all over the world!

About CORELEONI

Founded by guitarist Leo Leoni in 2018, CORELEONI started reviving the early GOTTHARD days successfully with their album duo consisting of “The Greatest Hits – Part 1” and “II.” The band also convinced fans and critics alike with their high-energy performances all over Europe, making the five-piece write their very own material. The result titled “III” was finally released in early 2022 and saw the addition of gifted Albanian singer Eugent Bushpepa to CORELEONI’s powerful line-up, which is completed by guitarist Jgor Gianola (ex-GOTTHARD, ex-U.D.O.), bass player Mila Merker and drummer Alex Motta. The group’s latest record hit the official Swiss album chart at no. 2 and thereby cemented the high demand for their captivating craft. Of course, “III” guided the quintet’s way across the continent once again while making one thing even clearer: CORELEONI are more than just a studio band and need to be experienced (a)live to understand their vision in full. So what are you waiting for? Feel the magic & enjoy their second live offering, “Live at Hallenstadion Zurich”!

CORELEONI are:
Eugent Bushpepa | vocals
Leo Leoni | guitars
Jgor Gianola | guitars
Mila Merker | bass
