BOBAFLEX Release Official Music Video for ‘I’ll Blow Your Dreams Into the Sky’

BOBAFLEX released a new single “I’ll Blow Your Dreams Into the Sky” to all major platforms last Friday. Today they released the official music video for it. The band announced a new show date of July 23rd at Newport Music Hall with South of Eden, The Lonely Ones and Lost Past Everest.

“I’ll Blow Your Dreams Into the Sky” can be streamed/downloaded at: https://linktr.ee/bobaflex

Born out of the ashes of record label bankruptcy and the loss of the rights to their name, Bobaflex found themselves lost at sea when they started their own label BFX Records for the release their first independent full album Hell In My Heart in 2011. The album spawned two charting singles and set the mold for Bobaflex’s fiercely independent way of life.

Since Hell In My Heart Bobaflex has begun to solidify themselves as the model for independence. They have released two further independent albums under their BFX label (Charlatan’s Web – 2013 and Anything That Moves – 2015). These two resulted in another 2 charting singles and multiple self produced music videos with one million or more views. Bobaflex released Eloquent Demons (2017), before going on an indefinite touring hiatus. After years of inactivity, Bobaflex released a surprise reunion single, “I’ll Blow Your Dreams into the Sky” (2022) and have have rare select reunion shows scheduled.

To clear up any confusion, The Lonely Ones are members of Bobaflex, minus Shaun and Jake. Both bands are releasing new music, but The Lonely Ones will continue to tour nonstop, while Bobaflex will only play a few select shows a year.

RETURN TO DARKNESS Release Single + Official Music/Lyric Video ‘Pain’

RETURN TO DARKNESS (ex Out Of Darkness) have released their new single + official music/lyric video ‘Pain’, taken from the band’s new album “Eternal”.

From the mid-eighties to the early nineties the NY/NJ area had a wealth of original bands playing heavy metal and thrash. Out Of Darkness was one of those bands. While never securing the coveted record deal, Out Of Darkness did have some success. Opening for bands such as Pantera, Danzig, Biohazard and Overkill, Out of Darkness gained a cult following in the tri-state area. Then life happened.
After thirty years the band still had what they considered unfinished business.

Vocalist Ron Roshong, bassist Sean Weiss, drummer Forrest Leighton, guitarists Greg Paravati and Jonny Rod had an “in”. Jonny Ciorciari ( “JROD” to some) has become a much sought-after engineer/producer since the band’s inception. “Every time we went into the recording studio it never came out the way we envisioned it. I knew at some point I would need to get it right”, stated Ciorciari.

The band changed their name to RETURN TO DARKNESS and have got it “right” this time. Blistering production, killer vocals, great riffs and a tight rhythm section are immediately apparent with the release of their single ‘Pain’. Great production and a big budget looking video produced by Craig Cefola can be viewed below.

RETURN TO DARKNESS are:
Jonny Rod – GUITAR
Greg Paravati – GUITAR
Ron Roshong – VOCALS
Sean Weiss – BASS
Forrest Leighton – DRUMS

The time to swill is now! After three fests in California, Decibel – North America’s only monthly metal magazine – is officially relocating the western edition of the world’s loudest, heaviest, most extreme craft beer festival to Denver, CO, tapping the Summit to host the festivities on Friday and Saturday, December 2-3, 2022.

Fresh off their recent east coast Metal & Beer fest domination, undisputed heavyweight death metal kings Cannibal Corpse are back for another headlining round on Friday night, while legendary grind force Pig Destroyer will close the festivities on Saturday evening with their first Denver performance in over three years.

If that wasn’t enough, for the first time since 2019, Swedes Dark Funeral will bring their black arts back to the U.S., Immolation will unleash their patented New York death metal out west, brutal death metal marauders Skinless will make an increasingly rare appearance, local heroes Wayfarer will explore Americana black metal frontiers, Black Anvil will deliver their signature NYBM reality, Toronto mystery men Thantifaxath will captivate with their avant-garde black metal bombast, and fellow Canadians Wake will unearth a post-everything, cross-genre aural assault.

The already loaded bill, presented by Metal Blade Records, will be rounded out by some of the most essential acts that the Denver metal scene has to offer including death metal heathens Of Fear and Bone, sludge doom destroyers Oryx, black/death misanthropes Glacial Tomb and planet-swallowing doomsters In the Company of Serpents.

“We’re very excited to be teaming up with Decibel magazine again,” says Metal Blade Records founder Brian Slagel, in the midst of his legendary label’s 40th anniversary celebration. “It’s going to be a lively weekend filled with incredible bands and amazing beer!“

Not to be outdone by the onstage heaviness, North America’s most metal breweries will indulge in a weekend of mile-high malt madness in the craft beer capital of the States! Local legends and Presenting Brewery TRVE Brewing (CO) will join Featured Breweries Black Sky Brewery (CO), 3 Floyds Brewing (IN), WarPigs Brewing (IN), Kings County Brewers Collective (NY), Wake Brewing (IL), Brimming Horn Meadery (DE), Metal Monkey Brewing (IL) and Bone Up Brewing (MA) to lead a pour ensemble of brewtality, which also includes breweries Adroit Theory (VA) and New Level Brewing (Canada), delivering the most extremely extreme beer and band pairings to ever annihilate your eardrums and enthrall your palette!

“When we were approached to be the Presenting Brewery for Decibel’s Metal & Beer Fest, it was a complete no-brainer,” says TRVE Brewing founder and co-owner Nick Nunns. “After a couple of years of having to sit out this festival for a variety of reasons, we are excited to be able to participate, and equally excited to show all the bands, breweries and attendees what Denver hospitality is all about. We’re ready for the maniacs to descend on the Mile High City!“

THE MAGIK WAY Release “Van Helsing (MMXXII)” 25th Anniversary Edition

It was July 17, 1997 when a young band wrote the soundtrack for a theatrical show with the evocative title of “DRACULA” directed by Hermes Beltrame which took place at the Pomaro Monferrato Castle in Alessandria. The band here emitted the first sounds for what would become THE MAGIK WAY‘s first creation called “Dracula”.

Today, July 17, 2022, exactly 25 years after that date, THE MAGIK WAY open the doors of oblivion to that opera and they do so with a very simple and direct excerpt from an episode of the opera entitled “Van Helsing” in its renewed version to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

This is just a taste of what will certainly be one of the most anticipated works of the Italian underground of this 2022.

Limited edition box and digipak CD are respectively available on https://smarturl.it/DRACULA-BOX and on https://smarturl.it/DRACULA-CD

Here is what Nequam told us in presenting this project: “The idea of publishing our 1997 “Dracula” comes from the desire to fill a void. We wanted to immortalize our first theatrical effort, the first episode that saw us crossing the boundaries of music, in a format and with a graphic presentation that could satisfy us. In recent years we have received some really valid offers but, at the end, it will be My Kingdom Music to produce and support this release. We started from the original tapes, recorded with a 4 Tascam tracks and we “dusted” them, keeping in fact the scent of that time. It was an incredible journey to relive those notes, so immature and true. What you will hear will be the sound of THE MAGIK WAY as it appeared in those years”.

Let the ritual begin!

Daniel Weber of The Disparrows has released his new single “Lose Somebody” to all major platforms. The single is from his solo project that is being released through Symphonic.

“It’s a single on which we have been working on for many months. It’s the first single to be released under my solo work – under Daniel Weber. The song captures the pain and heartache to lose somebody in life, in a break up. The grief of death too. We shot for the music video in Los Angeles. The recording of the song was done in Mumbai but it was mixed and mastered in Nashville by Anthony Fox,” says Daniel.

“Being able to write lyrics, and songs that lend themselves to real life situations has always been my preference. So watching the music video take shape and capture this makes me and the team extremely proud” he continues.

The video was directed by James Thomas and produced by Alice Thomas with Matthias Schubert as Director of Photography.

Daniel Weber is an American actor, producer, composer , singer and guitarist turned tech entrepreneur. Besides heading his company, Suncity Media And Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, Weber’s music has been on the forefront for many years.

Daniel Weber leads the band, The Disparrows, that was founded by Grant Looselvelt with bassist Stephen Tecci in 2010. The Disparrows, have released three albums, The Disparrows, Making Others Rich and Wasting Time.
