After the first single “Kamilah”, LONG DISTANCE CALLING will release the second single “Giants Leaving” on 05.27.22, from their album “Eraser”, which will be released on August 26th. 

With a concise and elegant rush of sound, an irresistible four-to-the-floor beat and some of the sharpest hooks in LONG DISTANCE CALLING’s history, “Giants Leaving” is dedicated to the albatross. 

“The song is dedicated to the albatross, unfortunately, one of many species facing extinction. The albatross is a beautiful and majestic creature, soaring across the skies with the largest wingspan in nature. The albatross is one of a few monogamous  species, making it more challenging to mate in an increasingly dangerous and  overfished environment, decreasing food availability and ongoing pollution.” – Long  Distance Calling

The eighth album of LONG DISTANCE CALLING Eraser is a direct and intimate tribute to the gradual erosion of nature by man. Thus, the band has dedicated the album to the endangered species of the world, with each song representing a particular creature threatened with extinction.

Produced by Costin Chioreanu and similar to the first video, “Kamilah”, the 3-minute  video to “Giants Leaving” makes use of creative animations that play with different facets of the albatross.

Sweeping, progressive and endlessly inventive, Eraser is unmistakably another high point in the career of these passionate, musical individualists. When a worldwide pandemic threatened to throw LONG DISTANCE CALLING off track, they put their energy into new music, writing their best album yet.  European tour dates are currently being booked for 2023.

OV SULFUR Sign with Century Media Records, Announce Contest for New Song, Coming Out June 8th

Vegas blackened deathcore band OV SULFUR announce their signing to Century Media Records.
 
“We’re beyond excited to join forces with Century Media, whose stellar roster speaks for itself. They’ve been at the forefront of every scene, regularly picking up the best each subgenre has to offer right before it really explodes. That they saw promise in us was truly affirming and invigorating, especially after only a year-and-a-bit as a band,” states the band about signing to Century Media.

Additionally, OV SULFUR are gearing up to release their new track “Wide Open” on June 8th. Stay tuned for more details on that release. Last August’s Oblivion EP was just the first volley, one planned over a decade away from music. With Century Media on board, it’s about to get goddamn apocalyptic on forthcoming single “Wide Open” and beyond. “Wide Open” finds their blackened deathcore reaching bleaker depths, with Hoover’s growls plumbing the abyssic depths and summoning lesser demons’ screeching. Guitarists Chase Wilson and Matt Janz build the perfect brutal backdrop complete with three breakdowns—plus a dueling solo for good measure—while mononymously named rhythm section (bassist Ding and drummer Leviathvn) provide a solid yet frenetic base.

Experimental metal outfit IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT have just announced their new full-length album Spirit of Ecstasy out on July 22nd via Century Media Records . The album will be released as Ltd. CD Edition (Mini-Gatefold), Gatefold 2LP & LP-Booklet and on all digital platforms. 

To celebrate the album announcement, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT have also just dropped their new track for “Maximalist Scream (feat. Snake/Voivod)”. Watch the music video for the band’s debut track off of their upcoming release, HERE.

“Atmospheres awash with mysterious origins. Sacred rites of passage and formidable knowledge lead to marvels of engineering,” states IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT. “Funneling the mass into a finite horizon all roads travel in duality. Spirit of Ecstasy follows the band’s previous LPs 2020’s Alphaville, 2018’s Vile Luxury and most recently their 2021 live record,  An Evening With Imperial Triumphant, which was was recorded at the infamous Slipper Room in New York City. Just like its predecessors, the album features a handful of special guests including Kenny G on soprano saxophone, Max Gorelick on lead guitar, Snake on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Trey Spruance on lead guitar, Andromeda Anarchia with choirs,  Sarai Woods with choirs, Yoshiko Ohara on vocals, J. Brazil’s kings of death metal Armageddon KRISIUN are pleased to announce their new studio album “Mortem Solis”, to be released on July 29th, 2022 via Century Media Records.
 
In anticipation of the new album release, a new track entitled “Serpent Messiah” is being launched today as its first single and can also be seen in a powerful video directed by Estevam Romera HERE

For the group’s 12th album, the trio – brothers Alex Camargo (bass/vocals), Max Kolesne (drums) and Moyses Kolesne (guitars) – recorded their new material locally at Family Mob Studio (Ratos De Porão, Crypta) in São Paulo, Brazil and mixed/Mastered with Mark Lewis (Kataklysm, Deicide, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc.) in Nashville, Tennessee. “Mortem Solis” comes with artwork (To be seen above!) designed by Marcelo Vasco (Slayer, Venom, Dark Funeral).

“Mortem Solis” – which is Latin for “Death of the Sun” – will be available as limited edition Digipak (with the exclusive bonus track “Death of the Sun), as Digital Album and as LP on 180g. vinyl.

TRIBULATION Sign New Worldwide Deal with Century Media Records, Win Swedish Grammy for Best Rock/Metal Album

One of the most esteemed names in modern Swedish metal, TRIBULATION have extended their partnership with their long-standing record label, Century Media Records, and have not only entered into a new worldwide deal, but are also working on new recordings right now.

Furthermore, TRIBULATION’s latest album ‘Where the Gloom Becomes Sound’ (2021) has just won a Swedish Grammis Award last week for best ‘Rock/Metal Album’. Nominees amongst this category were At The Gates, Lucifer, The Night Flight Orchestra and Nestor. It is the second Swedish Grammis in TRIBULATION’s history after winning the first award with their 2018 effort ‘Down Below’.

Addressing the news of their extended relationship with the CM, as well as the band’s upcoming release plans, TRIBULATION guitarist and founding member Adam Zaars comments:
“ After this involuntary hiatus, this global societal and cultural hiccup, we are just about to return to the stages and as already announced, we have already started our next chapter. As of now, we have a few new songs recorded that will be released digitally later this year and on wax as soon as possible after that. It’s a Tribulation you will recognize, but in a new shroud with new tastes and smells. Angrier, darker, and a tad more cynical. We have also slowly started working on our next album that we will yet again release with our long-term partners Century Media Records, with whom we have now signed a worldwide deal. Make sure to catch us live this summer!”
