Swedish power trio LIAR THIEF BANDIT shares the fourth single from their upcoming mini-album. “Diamonds (Are Made Under Pressure)” is a feel-good rock track with uplifting choruses and vibrant riffs. The track continues on a theme presented on the band’s latest album “Deadlights” (2021). Mike from the band explains:

“Diamonds (Are Made Under Pressure) is a love song and a continuation of Catch and Release from the Deadlights album. ‘Catch’ was about meeting someone new in an untimely way, ‘Diamonds’ is about nourishing what that relationship has grown to be. Dare to believe in the happiness you feel and you’ll find it easier to enjoy the present!“

From The Vaults Release All-Danish Compilation “Heavy Metal Rock Vol. 1”

Heavy metal is so much more than just music, or a music style. Since its very early beginnings, it gathered people under one flag, it gave to the rejected and misfits of society a sense of belonging and a “tribe” that cared for its members. Unlike many “specialists” predicted, the genre is alive and well more than 40 years after Tony Iommi invented the first heavy and downtuned rock’n’roll riff. More young bands jumping to the style wagon, more astonishing releases every day and new, young fans, discovering new and old bands and opening the doors to the heavy metal world, from which they’ll never go out again.

From The Vaults is a label created to unite both ends of the heavy metal spectrum. With an A&R team that includes Michael Stützer (from Artillery fame) and Tom Noble (long-time Tygers Of Pan Tang manager), it was created to sign new fresh-blooded groups and old bands of musicians that are slowly realizing that their steady, married profiles can actually fit a “weekend warrior” life again.

Enter “Heavy Metal Rock Vol. 1”. The label compilation compiled by Michael Hvolgaard Andersen, named after the genre-thematic Heavy Metal Rock Meeting festival that is to be held in Helsingør this March, brings you the best Danish bands signed to the label. From the spiked heavy metal of veterans Evil to the more melodic approach of Meridian, “Heavy Metal Rock, Vol. 1” is a catalog of what’s timeless, new and exciting in the genre right now, released exclusively in the most iconic heavy metal formats of all times: black vinyl.

“Heavy Metal Rock Vol. 1” is out today on LP (black vinyl, limited to 300 units) via From The Vaults. LP. Orders are available here.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to find some never-heard-before songs from bands such as Atro City, Mirage, Anoxia, Meridian, Pectora, Steel Inferno or Street Fighter (featuring Rasmus Bom Andersen of Diamond Head fame), while banging your head to the latest songs of Metal Cross, Evil and Alien Force, which have all recently released album on From The Vaults. The “treasures” department go straight to Mirage’s “The Emperor” and Atro City “Introseduction”, two heavy metal underground classics that see edition in black gold for the first time ever. All songs in the compilation were mastered at Angioni Studios by Marco Angioni.

All good reasons to get your hands into one of the 300 copies of “Heavy Metal Rock Vol. 1”, a record that, more than a compilation, is a way of life statement.

“Heavy Metal Rock Vol. 1” tracklist:

A1. Evil “Evil Never Dies

A3. Wasted “The Flood”
A4. Street Fighter “Queen Of The Night”

April 15, 2022 will see Brazilian death metal act THE TROOPS OF DOOM, featuring former SEPULTURA guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz alongside bassist/vocalist Alex Kafer (Enterro, Explicit Hate, ex-Necromancer), drummer Alexandre Oliveira (Southern Blacklist, Raising Conviction), and guitarist Marcelo Vasco (Patria, Mysteriis, and acclaimed graphic artist for the likes of Slayer, Kreator, Machine Head, Soulfly, and Hatebreed), release their hotly anticipated debut album Antichrist Reborn! The record will be available as CD Digipack and Cassette, with a Vinyl to follow on June 26th, via Alma Mater Records – the Portuguese record label run by MOONSPELL‘s Fernando Ribeiro – and will be digitally released by Blood Blast Distribution.

Following two critically acclaimed EPs, The Rise Of Heresy in 2020 and The Absence of Light (2021), which has been lauded by both the international music press and fans alike, on Antichrist Reborn the THE TROOPS OF DOOM revisits the essence of ‘80s-style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes its listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh, genuine, and ferociously heavy.

After the previously-released, first single and a music video for the heavy as hell track “Altar Of Delusion”, the band has unleashed a new lyric video for “A Queda”, sung in Portuguese and featuring João Gordo, lead singer of Ratos de Porão, on guest vocals!

Just exclusively premiered with Metal Hammer, you can now watch the new lyric video clip by THE TROOPS OF DOOM here:

“I am still very impressed with the way religions, and especially Christianity, acted for centuries.” Jairo Guedz explains. “In this song I wanted to print this vision of a dictatorial and authoritarian regime, which takes advantage of the blindness and weakness of most people… Of course, our fiction doesn’t even come close to the brutal reality that turned the church into one of the greatest institutions of this planet. It was a great pleasure for us to have the presence of João  Gordo from Ratos De Porão sharing the vocals with Alex. It’s a Portuguese version, but it translates the same dark truth that afflicts the whole world!”

Guitarist Marcelo Vasco adds: “This song is probably the most different on the record, not only because it is sung in Portuguese, but also because it has a more crossover approach, let’s say, mixing punk and metal. It’s a heavy, dirty song and has incredible energy. It was no wonder that right away we thought of inviting João Gordo to share the vocals with Alex. Everything fit like a glove and we are extremely happy with this track, that’s why we decided to choose it to be our second Single from The Troops of Doom’s debut album. Hope you all like it as much as we do. Lyric Video was created by the talented Wanderley Perna and directed by Jairo, where they wanted to rescue an aesthetic of the 20s cinema, combined with an inspiration from Pink Floyd and Nosferatu. Looks amazing!”

Antichrist Reborn was mixed by Swedish producer Peter Tägtgren at the iconic The Abyss Studio and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Blacklounge Studio, Sweden. Featuring very special guest musicians such as João Gordo and Alex Camargo & Moyses Kolesne (Krisiun), THE TROOPS OF DOOM unleash true oldschool death metal in its purest form; dirty, primitive, and brutally powerful as it should be! The cover art was painted by Sergio “AlJarrinha” Oliveira, the artist behind Sepultura’s Bestial Devastation original artwork. The album pre-sale of Antichrist Reborn is available at THIS LOCATION!
