Bay Area natives AENIMUS will release their “Sacrificial” EP on May 6th via Nuclear Blast. Today, the band release their third single, ‘Wasteland’ featuring David Benites. Watch the lyric video below.
AENIMUS comments, “‘Wasteland’ is the heaviest and darkest song AENIMUS has written. The lyrics are very melancholy and touch heavily on the dark place where depression and addiction can lead people. The music is fast-paced and relentless from beginning to end and I think listeners will enjoy this darker side of AENIMIUS.”
“Sacrificial” was recorded at Grimzee Studios with Brian Gosling handling the producing and mixing. The cover artwork was created by Mark Erskine of Erskine Designs.
Polish death metal masters DECAPITATED are set to release their new masterpiece “Cancer Culture” on May 27th and surprise their fans with a stunning new single and video. This is what metalheads have been waiting for – a duett with one of the most amazing and outstanding female metal vocalists – Tatiana Shmayluk from mighty JINJER. Tatiana, a formidable screamer, went the clean vocal route for this track, enriching “Hello Death” with a moody vibe and an undeniable hook.
Vogg says, “Jinjer are one of the most interesting metal acts of the last few years. And Tatiana’s vocals in the song will surprise some people. It’s really unique and amazing. With this song, we have achieved something remarkable. We have combined two different musical styles in ‘Hello Death’. As you all know, we love to add something interesting to our music. With ‘Hello Death’ we managed to unite our style of technical death metal with Tatiana’s vocals, which adds an absolutely different epic dimension. Tatiana has one of the most incredible voices in the metal scene, and it was a wholly different and exciting experience to work with her on this track. Her voice filled the song with other emotions, which completed the meaning behind the lyrics. The song is about the fight between life and death, where we connected brutal, heavy riffs with feminine, lyrical vocals, which are powerful, influential, and straight to the point. This combination is a new thing in Decapitated’s music, and it shows that sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone and take a risk to achieve something totally epic.“
The video was filmed in March with Grupa 13 in Poland, while Tatiana was filming her part in a studio in the USA. The primary place for the video was a tiny and one of the oldest existing baroque Evangelical churches in Poland, built between 1743 and 1749, in Goszcz.
Barcelona’s SYBERIA will be releasing their forthcoming instrumental post-metal opus on May 6th via Blacklight Media Records. In anticipation of this release, the band have launched a new video for the second cut from the record, “Ain’t.Care.About.Bullets.” Watch the video, directed by Fernando J. Martinez, on YouTube below.
The band adds their thoughts on the visual accompaniment for the song: “With this video we want to draw attention to a very worrying issue in the United States of America: police violence against people of color.
“On the album, each song is about a specific case. We didn’t want to name names, but the cases are so well documented and well-known, that with the album insert in hand and a little research, the listener can easily figure out who each song is about.“

Having leaned in the direction of post-metal on 2019′s Seeds Of Change, SYBERIA have enthusiastically embraced the genre on fourth album Statement On Death. Transcending their origins as an instrumental rock band, they show many more sides to their songwriting without losing their unique signature sound. Comprised of five riveting tracks spread across 42 minutes, it covers a lot of musical ground, but never once do they lose the attention of the listener, taking them through numerous textured sonic peaks and valleys in beautiful style. “On each album we try not to repeat ourselves and look for things that we haven’t done so far,” states the band.
“When we start songwriting, we never do it following a specific plan. We always compose according to what we have heard at that time, normally we record riff ideas individually and take them to the rehearsal room. Once there, we assemble the pieces of the puzzle to find the desired song, and the result this time is a record that is darker than our previous ones but with the same bright moments.”
