REPENTANCE Release Brand New Music Video ‘Down In The Water’

Last November, Chicago, Illinois based metal outfit REPENTANCE released their latest Ep “Volume I – Reborn” via Noble Demon. Five tracks of tracks of aggressive, fast-paced and technical compositions, amplified by a tight and sharp production, which were praised by fans and critics alike. From said EP, the band has today released a brand new music video for the track “Down In The Water”, which was directed, shot, and edited by Alex Zarek, with lighting design and programming by Brian Olivo.

Vocalist Adam Gilley on “Down In The Water”:

“The song is about Trying to overcome the struggles from within and ultimately succumbing to the demons of disease in the end.“

Guitarist and band founder Shaun Glass adds:

“When writing the new material I really wanted to make sure each song had their own identity yet fit into the sound of the band. With this track the main verse riff set the pace for a dark heavy groove that doesn’t let up and brings the listener in a twisted journey… Adams King-Kong-sized vocals put the stamp on this song and also this is my first song that I actually also handled the guitar solo which is a nice tribute to Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) & Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) – RIP.“

But that’s not the only news the band announces today, as “Volume I – Reborn” will finally be available on vinyl on March 30, after a long wait caused by the current situation in pressing plants worldwide.

STATIC ABYSS Premiere Lyric Video And Single for ‘Labyrinth Of Veins’

Following on from the announcement from Autopsy’s Chris Reifert and Greg Wilkinson, that they have joined forces to create a new mouthpiece for a rotten age – STATIC ABYSS and their debut studio album entitled Labyrinth Of Veins will be let loose on Peaceville on 22nd April.  The duo have premiered a new lyric video, created by  Matthew Vickerstaff, for the album’s title track.  “Labyrinth Of Veins slowly crawls evolving into a cacophonous wall of gloom. Unlike Jawbone Ritual, this track remains slow and evil from front to back.” explains Greg Wilkinson.

Static Abyss is the new mouthpiece for a rotten age consisting of the duo of Greg Wilkinson  (Guitars/bass) & Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), both members of legendary American masters of sickness Autopsy, with Greg (also of cult act Deathgrave) recently welcomed as their new bass player.

Static Abyss’ debut studio album, ‘Labyrinth of Veins’, presents an unnerving, multi-layered eerie concoction of dirty doom and death, Chris Reifert states the album themes are to “explore the echoes of insanity manifested through human existence.” The result; a sinister onslaught of, at times, slow and bludgeoning brutal metal whilst at others whipped into a storm of chaotic vile hysterics. The spirit of Autopsy is at times present in the truly titanic riffs swathed in chilling atmospheric guitar leads, whilst Chris’ seemingly bottomless pit of morbid inspiration from the dark & twisted corners of life permeate the release with his highly distinguishable delivery to further the descent into madness.

‘Labyrinth of Veins’ was recorded at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA, & Great American Music Hall, with engineering, mixing and mastering overseen by Greg himself.With thecover art appears courtesy of All Things Rotten.

On 22nd April, Labyrinth Of Veins will be released on CD, black vinyl LP with printed sleeve including full lyrics and digitally.

SKID ROW and earMUSIC join forces to announce the release of the mightily anticipated new studio album “The Gang’s All Here” on October 14th, 2022. This announcement coincides with the launch of the iconic hard rock band’s Las Vegas Residency (as the Scorpions’ special guests) this Saturday, as well as the debut of their brand-new single, the title track “The Gang’s All Here”.

“The Gang’s All Here” is an oath of triumph, exploding with powerful energy that makes us hunger for more. It is the logical next-generation leap of the band’s trademark sound that stomps out new ground – with singer Erik Grönwall (formerly of H.E.A.T, one of the best frontmen of this or any hard rock era) joining the family.

Produced by Grammy Award Winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Evanescence) and long-time fan, Skid Row are ablaze. They are re-energized, kicking their sound way up to modern Hard Rock Royalty.

UNFELLED Sign to Season of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of UNFELLED, the pagan black metal project from WOODS OF DESOLATION mastermind and multi-instrumentalist D.!

UNFELLED comments on the signing, “Very pleased to announce that Unfelled has signed to Season of Mist. It is a privilege to be able to release our debut full-length with a label such as Season of Mist, and we look forward to working together.”

Formed in 2016 as a project of D. (Woods of Desolation, Remete), Unfelled first emerged with the solo demo offering “Beneath Distant Skies” at the end of 2017. Expanding the line-up in 2020, fellow veterans Mitch (Austere, Dearthe) and Vlad (Drudkh, Windswept) were enlisted on vocals and drums respectively, completing the vision for the band. Moving forward as a three-piece, the forthcoming full-length, recorded through 2020-2021, sees Unfelled pursuing heavier, more aggressive territory, yet never entirely eschewing the sense of melody and atmosphere established on the debut demo. In 2021, Unfelled proudly joined forces with Season of Mist who will release the album at a date TBA.

NECRONOMICON released their latest effort, the 10th studio album “The Final Chapter” on March 26th, 2021 via El Puerto Records.

Thrash Cult “Red Alert” is the musical direction of “The Final Chapter”, according to Freddy.

And yes, they are still there; maybe better and harder than ever.
“The Final Chapter” is in essence a NEW chapter for NECRONOMICON. It’s the first time that the band has international members so the sound is different because of Rik Charron on the drums and Glen Shannon on lead guitar, but, oddly enough…you still know it’s NECRONOMICON due to founding member Freddy and his distinctive song writing style and Mr. Marco Lohrenz on bass and backing vocals.
The songs on “The Final Chapter” are intricate, hard hitting, full force speed and power all in one package. There are songs on this album that will please everyone from power metallers to full on thrashers.

As with all the previous years, the album bears the unmistakable and signature sound of Achim Köhler who was responsible for the mixing and mastering. This album is tearing the roof down with a blistering Sonic assault and energy that NECRONOMICON are known for….. and maybe the final chapter….? Beware of the beast……!!!

Boston’s own garage punk-n-rollers BAABES set the music world alight in 2021 with the release of two dirty, sleazy, garage punk rock singles, ‘Greaseballs to Glitters’ and ‘Bad Boy Worse Drugs’ via Riot Records. Now the BAABES are readying themselves for the release of their self-titled album by dropping a new single and video ‘Too Cool for Pants’.

Legend has it that the BAABES boys were drinking in the morning…and this is what happened. ‘Too Cool for Pants’ is an infectious groove that explodes into a banging chorus with lyrics you’d have to be a little off-center to come up with and, of course, a lot of attitude…just the way BAABES like it! 

BAABES new self-titled album is a heavy, distorted, loud and fun record that brings to mind the early proto-punk and garage rock sounds of the 70’s without being derivative or old. BAABES brings new energy with an in-your-face, burn-the-house-down feel that’s just a good time.
