LORD OF THE LOST Release New Single ‘The Heartbeat Of The Devil’

German genre-fusing LORD OF THE LOST just released “The Heartbeat Of The Devil”, originally from their latest album JUDAS (#2 German album charts), and second single from their upcoming EP of the same name, out May 6, 2022 via Napalm Records.

“The Heartbeat Of The Devil” is a 80s pop inspired dark piece of art that hits with its emotional impact created by vocalist’s Chris Harms nostalgic tone and an impeccable instrumentational soundscape.

The Heartbeat Of The Devil EP repeatedly solidifies LORD OF THE LOST as visionaries unafraid to express themselves outside of the norm. Their nonconformism is undoubtedly a key point of their attraction and distinction, and their sophisticated sonic universe sets them apart from all other bands in the genre. LORD OF THE LOST will shortly embark on a European tour with icons Iron Maiden.

The new EP begins with the single version of “The Heartbeat of The Devil”, and closes with a striking piano version of the same song. Rounding out the center of the EP are three cover versions of iconic songs: “Children Of The Damned” by Iron Maiden, “Judas” by Lady Gaga and “Wig In A Box” from famed rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. These iconic songs are reinvented and transformed by the dark atmosphere of LORD OF THE LOST’s trademark sound.

LORD OF THE LOST on The Heartbeat Of The Devil:
“With the pandemic and the unplanned free time – you can spontaneously record three cover versions of songs that move you at the moment. But why these three songs? “Judas” by Lady Gaga should be self-explanatory due to the title overlap with our current album. “Children Of The Damned” is a nod to our summer tour hosts Iron Maiden, who booked us as a support band. And “Wig In A Box”… well, if you don’t know the movie musical ‘Hedwig And The Angry Inch’, you should definitely change that. We saw the movie one day and one of us yelled, ‘let’s cover that song!’ – and as it always is with us, every spontaneous idea is put into action. Or at least it’s tried.”

OBSIDIOUS Release Brand New Single ‘Bound by Fire’

Modern progressive metal masters OBSIDIOUS are now releasing a brand new single, “Bound by Fire,” which can be heard at THIS LOCATION.

OBSIDIOUS comments on the dark lyrical themes of the track: “Another song with descriptive lyrics, this time dealing with a subject, unfortunately, on everyone’s lips at present: the horrors of wars and armed conflicts. The suffering of innocent people who have little or nothing to do with it, seeing their lives cut short. People who see their comrades die and, in other cases, are even forced to kill people they knew or were friends with just because they were on the opposite side. Killing or dying for something they did not start. One of humanity’s most brutal dichotomies.

“Bound by Fire” is taken from the band’s upcoming debut album, ‘Iconic,’ which will be released on October 28, 2022! Pre-orders will be launched soon!

AMERICAN ANYMEN Release New Music Video & Single ‘Expert of Nothing’

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: AMERICAN ANYMEN. Leave a comment

Antifolk turned industrial band AMERICAN ANYMEN have just revealed a music video for their new single “Expert of Nothing“. “Expert of Nothing” is the second single from the band’s new full-length album which will be released worldwide by Eclipse Records on June 10, 2022. The music video was directed by Brett Sullivan.

“This song is about all the people that are running the country” says composer, lead vocalist and guitarist Brett Sullivan. “More and more it seems to me that public service is attracting degenerate minds. Corrupt people are attracted to the attention and money that comes with being a senator, congressperson, or judge.  Legitimate credentials in specified fields are being replaced with how popular you are, or how outrageous you can be on social media. These people have never-ending opinions on very important matters and expertise on nothing.”

American Anymen’s new LP entitled Cities Changing Names is an album of sonic violence and unbridled energy. Each of the eleven songs on the album are a burst of power that features a sort of pristine mechanization wearing a cloak of raw, human tragedy. This sweet dichotomy is both elegant and hard core, addictive and welcoming. The musical presentation itself is based on this technique of pairings reversed. This is clearly shown in the production of the drums versus the vocals. The “norm” would have the hummingbird 16ths deep and resounding, the snare rich and reverberant. In turn, the vocal would be “up close,” like the “presence” we all enjoy face to face, in that intimate moment right before a kiss. Here, American Anymen turn that on its head, presenting the drum sounds in your face and at the very doorstep of your heart, close enough to touch, while making the vocal echoed, distant, haunting, and mysterious. Each track raises the level of the game in terms of brute force and fireworks, and the listener comes away feeling potent and strong.

MOTHER OF MILLIONS have released a brand new  lyric video for “Where Do We Go From Here”. It´s the bands most intimate song, and also the intro song on the new comeback EP “Orbit”, that will be released on this Friday via ViciSolum Productions.

Orbit is the band’s first release after the loss of keybordist Makis Tsamkosoglou, during a show in June 2019. It is a soul-searching, introspective and affecting record, that attempts to share all emotions that followed this tragic event. Recording it, was described by the band as a necessary healing experience for its restart process.

Orbit is set for release on May 6th on 12″ vinyl and digital.

Mother of Millions is a prog-metal quartet based in Athens, Greece.

The band has released 3 albums, “Human” (Bungalo 2014), “Sigma” (ViciSolum Productions 2017), Artifacts (ViciSolum Productions 2019), getting the most positive reviews from the audience and the global music press. A new EP is soon to be released, while Mother of Millions are working on a new album.

The band performed sold-out headline shows in Athens, shows with Textures on their last European tour, support shows with Ruud Jolie’s For All We Know in the Netherlands, while the band has shared the stage with artists such as Pain of Salvation, Devin Townsend, Leprous, Oceans of Slumber, Septic Flesh etc.

In June 2019 during a show promoting Artifacts, Mother of Millions’ keyboardist and beloved friend Makis Tsamkosoglou passed away. Following this tragic incident, the band decided to keep going as a quartet.

Mother of Millions sounds equally massive as cinematic. Intense soundscapes involving elaborate rhythms, folk aesthetics and progressive rock tunes.
