FOUR STROKE BARON have today released a video for the track Prostitute Part II: Pretty Woman (Makes Money) taken from their third full length album, Classics. The Reno, NV duo recently confirmed a European tour starting in September supporting VOLA, alongside Voyager. Watch the video below.
Mixed by Devin Townsend, their 2021 album features ten tracks brimming with catchy riffs and unforgettable choruses – in other words, classics. Having streamlined into a duo, Kirk Witt and Matt Vallarino cast a sardonic eye over the human condition on Classics – as seen through their own uniquely distorted lens. They are our guides as we traverse the filthiest folds in the dark underbelly of Reno, Nevada; illuminating the darkest corners of their twisted psyches with their upbeat and insanely catchy pop hooks.
Upon the release of Classics, FOUR STROKE BARON hit the road in North America with Sarah Longfield; now they’re setting their sights on Europe with a string of dates that will take them through Germany, Poland, the UK, France and more.

Golden light, full green vines and flower wreaths – today, Danish deathcore outlet CABAL gets ready to spice up this idyllic setting with their new brutal banger ‘Magno Interitus’ featuring Joe Bad (FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY) that the band releases today.
Supported by an haunting yet disturbing performance video that shows the band’s jaw-dropping live presence and skills, the new track of Danish finest extreme metal export comes with sawing riffs and massive breakdowns. Witness the madness here:
CABAL about their new song ‘Magno Interitus’: “‘Magno Interitus’ written while the pandemic was at its highest and everything seemed like it was going to collapse around us. Politicians still just serving their own best interests, peaceful protests having what are essentially war crimes committed against them, all while the impending threat of global destruction due to rapid climate changes, seems to be downplayed severely or outright ignored by those in power. The track is three and a half minutes of pure vitriol spewed in the face of those who dare to try and ignore the great decay that is happening right before our eyes and all around us. To really make the track stand out as much as possible we elicited the help from one of our favourite vocalists; Joe Bad of the amazing Fit For an Autopsy.
This May, CABAL will showcase their capturing live character on the HELLHOUNDS Tour haunting Europe alongside NuMetal monarchs King 810, Yavid and Born A New.

CABAL is one of the most brutal and promising heavy acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band aims to create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songwriting draws inspiration from everything from black and death metal to djent and hardcore.
Since the release of their debut album “Mark of Rot” in 2018, the young band has managed to make a name for themselves in both Denmark and the rest of the world by playing renowned festivals like Copenhell, Roskilde Festival, Euroblast Festival and Complexity Fest as well as touring in Europe, Japan and North America.
CABAL released the sophomore album “Drag Me Down” in April 2020 – a dark descent into a personal hell brought to life by crushing instrumentals, an oppressive atmosphere and dark personal lyrics delivered with relentless intensity, while still leaving room for experimentation and expansion of CABAL’s signature sound. Add to this guest appearances from metal titans TRIVIUM‘s Matt Heafy, rising metalcore stars POLARIS’ Jamie Hails and Denmark’s Blackgaze darlings MØL’s Kim Song Sternkopf and there is no doubt that CABAL is a band with friends in every corner of the metal scene.
It´s “P.A.R.T.Y.” time! Grab a drink and come on board, because the infamous and boisterous pirate metal gang, ALESTORM, have released the second single from their upcoming full-length album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum – the ultimate pirate-party-hymn: “P.A.R.T.Y.”!
The energetic track is quite possibly the band’s catchiest offering to date – chock full of rousing chants and video game-worthy synths that tempt the listener to grab a drink and sing along, leaving no sailor behind. The dance-infused folk sound of “P.A.R.T.Y.” will assuredly bring up the urge to gather your crew and bop happily along arm in arm. Set your sails and join ALESTORM at their pirate party on the open seas!
Christopher Bowes on “P.A.R.T.Y.”: “Oh wow! We tried our best to make Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum into a serious album, but of course we’re not very good at that, and the temptation to make a disco party anthem was all too great. So we ended up with this song. Extra special thanks to the wonderfully talented Alex Henderson for making this amazing animated video, and of course thanks to Matt Cockram for playing the egg (it’s just before verse 2, if you’re interested).”
ALESTORM spent two years during lockdown going insane and frantically dredging up the craziest pirate metal anthems from their treasure chest of ideas, and have created the most epic and serious (yes, serious) sounding ALESTORM album you’ve ever heard. From the symphonic choir-powered “Magellan’s Expedition” to the rousing anthem “Under Blackened Banners” featuring intense technical riffing and exquisite solo duels, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum is a real throwback to the early days of Captain Morgan’s Revenge. But fans of the modern ALESTORM sound need not worry either – there’s plenty of party mood in the aptly-named future hit song “P.A.R.T.Y.”, and the high speed, insane folk metal banger “Cannonball” has the most ridiculous and offensive lyrics you’ve ever heard in a pirate metal song (making “Fucked With an Anchor” sound tame).
Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum track listing: 1. Magellan’s Expedition 2. The Battle of Cape Fear River 3. Cannonball 4. P.A.R.T.Y. 5. Under Blackened Banners 6. Magyarország 7. Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum 8. Bite the Hook Hand that Feeds 9. Return to Tortuga 10. Come to Brazil 11. Wooden Leg (Part III)
7’’ Single track listing: Side A: Christmas With Alestorm Side B: Nyár Van
As an extra special treat for the die-hard collector fans, some special editions come with a full acoustic rendition of the entire album, and there’s even a legendary version of the album FOR DOGS once again. In the Wooden Box only, there is a special 7” Single vinyl, including “Christmas with Alestorm” and “Nyár Van”.

Before black metal, before heavy metal, rock and delta blues, the Devil still made you dance. Up in Hallingdal one would find him hidden in the shadows, fiddle in hand and keeping the beat with his horse’s hoof. Did you think you would ever stop dancing? By his mercy you would know.
With Kampfar’s ninth studio album everything is about our roots. Our roots come out of the Devil’s music, which we honour with this song, and with the title of the album, Til Klovers Takt. You will dance to the beat of the cloven hoof.
You can catch KAMPFAR live on their European tour this month;

The genre-welding Danish-Swedish quartet VOLA celebrates the first anniversary of Witness, announcing that they will be releasing a deluxe digital edition that will include bonus tracks. It will be released on 20 May viaMascot Records/Mascot Label Group. Ahead of this, they have revealed the video for Napalm (Re-Witnessed) which you watch here.
When it was released, the album was a critical smash, surpassing an incredible 14m streams already, it picked up international acclaim from Metal Hammer, Prog Magazine, Distorted Sound and Kerrang Radio & TV in the UK, reaching #7 in the Rock & Metal Charts. They were picked up by SiriusXM for multiple tracks and Metal Radio in the US which saw the album reach the Top 20 in the Current Hard Rock Charts and Top 25 in the New Artist/Heatseekers Album Chart. It also received rave reviews across Europe in Aardschok (The Netherlands), Rock Hard (France), Metal Hammer (Germany) and throughout the press and national radio in their native Denmark. Tracks from the album were also added to numerous playlists across Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music.

The band have recently wrapped up a run of three shows supporting the legendary Devin Townsend in Dublin, Glasgow and London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. They will be spending the summer playing festivals, including Roskilde, before they head out on a European 20-date headline run in September and finish at Euroblast Festival on 2 October.
Witnesscame nearly three years after the release of Applause of a Distant Crowd, which saw the band go deep into the rabbit hole, exploring society’s distractions from thoughtfulness and examining how human relationships have evolved. Witness went a step further, shining a light on the subject of failed relationships on a societal scale—the friction between leaders and followers caused by the misuse of power. They released several videos from the album for “Straight Lines,”“24 Light-Years,”“Head Mounted Sideways”, and “These Black Claws” ft. SHAHMEN.
“If I zoom in,” guitarist-singer Asger Mygind says. “The failure is born from unrequited love, grief, manipulative behaviour and insecurity. Connecting it with the album title, one could view the characters portrayed in the lyrics as witnesses to the dissolution of the bond they have created with people in their lives.”
After returning from their successful 2019 headline tour across Europe, VOLA wrote the songs for the album. The tour had a string of sold-out shows along the way. It capped off an incredible two years of seeing them also tour with Dream Theater, Anathema, Katatonia, Haken, Monuments, and show-stealing performances at Euroblast, Ramblin’ Man Fair, Radar Festival, Bloodstock, Damnation Fest, Tech Fest and more.
Always evocative, VOLA glide along, barely a breath away from its subject matter, holding the listener close and silent as you observe the journey unfold. Their ability to create a cinematic aesthetic allowed you to be a detached observer and enveloped in the narrative.
VOLA are Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Mogensen (bass) and Adam Janzi (drums).
