Psych rock outfit, KILFEATHER, are back with their latest single ‘Dwelling,’ out now across digital platforms, through Riot Records/Golden Robot Records.
‘Dwelling’ is a dark and wild ride. With a high tempo shuffle that’s almost a country inspired rhythm section, it’s invariably accompanied by heavy rock guitars and eerie crooning vocals. The lyrics share a peek inside the feelings of desperation when being faced with that tough choice of finally letting go.
‘Dwelling’ marks the fourth single from KILFEATHER’s upcoming new full-length album, Armchair Revolutionaries, and follows the release of the singles ‘Bummer’, ‘Nightmares’ and ‘Waiting to Get In’, which show KILFEATHER at the absolute top of their game and give a major insight as to what to expect from ‘Dwelling’.KILFEATHER take us on a dirty, distorted, fuzz drenched garage rock journey that takes a psychedelic side track.

Finnish melodic black/death metallers A LIE NATION are set to release their debut album Sociopathology on July 1st 2022 via Inverse Records. The first single Scum is released today.
Guitarist Jussi Tuomisto comments: “Scum represents a more straightforward in-your-face department of the “Sociopathology” album. The song is a hybrid in styles, it clearly has elements of melodic death metal with a sense of black metal. I think it represents well the energy that we are known for. Nothing extra, no painting of pretty pictures or dreamy atmospheres. Scum is a brutally honest, stripped to the core extreme metal song.”
Vocalist Miikka Pyykkönen continues: “Lyrically Scum takes a stand on how politicians of today are more concerned about their public image rather than how their policies impact the very society they are supposed to represent.”
‘It all started as a game, something fun to do. As it should be.’
And with that, DONNA CANNONE was born. Former Thundermother member Giorgia Carteri (guitars) and her fellow Italian ex-pat found themselves heading to a rehearsal room to play some music and, in their own words, ‘have some fun.’ Giorgia’s former Thundermother bandmate Tilda Nilke Nordlund was brought in on drums as the trio began putting together a number of new songs. A knock at the door brought a surprise as, guitar in hand, Björn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork, The Nightflight Orchestra) had heard what the band were up to and wanted in. Keen to express himself as a lead guitarist, the world-renowned singer was impressed with what he’d heard the fledgling trio coming up and with and soon the quartet were recording demos. One of these demos fell into the hands of Swedish label Despotz Records and a deal was soon done.
The first fruits of this deal were a brace of well-received singles – ‘Cross the Line’ and ‘Nothing to Do’, both of which saw the band picking up support across the world and alerting everyone to the presence of Donna Cannone. The bandreleased (April 22nd) the third and last single ‘Is It True’, featuring a guest appearance from former Crucified Barbara singer/guitarist Mia Karlsson. They will now celebrate the single release with a new music video.
Mia Karlsson and Donna Cannone about the single: “After years away from the music scene, I couldn’t wish for a better way to return than with this super group of talented musicians and friends. Their positive vibe and genuine passion is so inspiring. I am so happy and lucky to be a part of this song!” // Mia Karlsson
“Sometimes life takes turns that seem so unreal and it makes you wonder whether you’d be able to get yourself through it all… by yourself…” // Donna Cannone
May 27th 2022 will see the release of the band’s debut album via Despotz Records. It’s ten tracks of hook-laden songs, bristling with a punk attitude and a keen ear for melodic rock ‘n’ roll. There will be a third single in the shape of ‘Is It True’, before the band head out on tour with a string of live appearances booked across Europe.

LAST TEMPTATION returns with a brand-new single ‘Main Attraction’, the perfect set up for their upcoming new album ‘Fuel for My Soul’, due for release on May 20 on both CD and digital, with vinyl out on September 2 via Crusader Records, available for pre-order/add/save now.
‘Main Attraction’ is an absolute screamer, soaked with the best traditional metal influences. The message is; once again, humanity tries to reassure itself about its life. ‘Main Attraction’ touches on the idea that sometimes we have the impression of doing things well, with the end being quite the opposite. It’s already too late to change anything.
‘Fuel for my Soul’ is a great step forward for LAST TEMPTATION. Recorded in a week, the band took their time to rehearse the new songs and had over 40 demos before eventually narrowing it down to 11 hard-hitting tracks.
‘Fuel for my Soul’ has an entirely different production style compared to the last album. All the rhythm tracks, bass, drums and guitars were recorded live, and the songs are far more eclectic than previous releases. While LAST TEMPTATION still maintain their Ozzy/Black Sabbath influences, they add a grungy twist, along with big choruses that give an 80’s vibe.
SPIRIT ADRIFT expand their prolific catalog with “20 Centuries Gone ”, a collection of two new original songs and six cover songs that span the timeline of the band’s most foundational influences. Featuring artwork by Brian Mercer (Lamb of God, High on Fire, Mastodon), and mixed by Zeuss (Overkill, Crowbar, Municipal Waste), this release is a powerful journey through the past, present, and future of trad-metal’s most exciting new band. On “20 Centuries Gone”, SPIRIT ADRIFT put their trademark swagger on classics from Type O Negative, Pantera, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The new 8-song collection features 2 new originals and 6 cover songs, set for release on August 19th.
SPIRIT ADRIFT mastermind Nate Garrett comments: “I always thought it would be a cool experience to record some songs by bands that are foundational to the DNA of SPIRIT ADRIFT. These choices are obvious and on the nose to me, but maybe unexpected to the fans. That made the whole thing a lot of fun. A band like Lynyrd Skynyrd might not be the first thing you think of when considering SPIRIT ADRIFT’s influences, so the task for me became figuring out how to honor these great songs, but in the distinct SPIRIT ADRIFT style. To make the whole thing even more special, I channeled these influences and wrote a couple of new songs to kick things off. There’s a lyric in ‘Sorcerer’s Fate’ that mentions ‘past and future both aligned,’ and that became the concept here. The whole thing is presented in reverse chronological order. That way, you get a sense of where SPIRIT ADRIFT is headed, but you’re also taken on a journey back in time through our most fundamental influences. Hope y’all enjoy it!”
