ANVIL Share New Song & Video ‘Take A Lesson’ Of Upcoming Album

May 20, 2022 will see iconic speed and heavy metal titans ANVIL release their brand new studio album, entitled Impact Is Imminent, via AFM Records. To shorten your wait, the Canadian trio has just shared a second song taken of their upcoming, nineteenth record!

On Impact Is Imminent, ANVIL fires off merciless riff attacks, relentlessly driving drums and impressive bass grooves, complemented by vocal melodies and lyrics that inevitably drill themselves into the listener’s aural tract. As always, Lips Kudlow and founding member and drummer Robb Reiner, are at the epicentre of this heavy metal extravaganza. For the past eight years, they have been supported by bassist Chris Robertson, who not only complements the ANVIL fold on a personal level, but also enhances the tracks with his powerful low frequency bass parts and backing vocals.

After the previously-released, first single, ‘Ghost Shadow’, the band has just unleashed another blistering new track. Watch the new ANVIL lyric video clip for “Take A Lesson” right here:

“None of our previous albums blends music and lyrics into as tight a unit as ‘Impact Is Imminent’,” enthuses charismatic frontman Lips on the fourteen songs on the group’s new album. “Everything comes together homogeneously. As a result, the new material sounds monolithic, right down to the very last details, both in terms of rhythm and harmonies. In the past, our studio sessions were sometimes like a little like jumping in at the deep end, with us having to improvise a lot and making decisions at short notice. Working on ‘Impact Is Imminent’, not only was there plenty of time for the songwriting process in the run-up to the recordings, but I also had the leisure to put all my ideas to the acid test and work on them until they were perfect.”

After 40 years in the music industry, touring the world in sold-out venues, and garnering critically acclaim for Anvil! The Story Of Anvil – the number #1 music documentary of every metalhead – ANVIL belongs to one of the most distinctive bands of their genre, often cited as having influenced notable metal acts such as Slayer, Megadeath, Metallica or Anthrax.

Like its three predecessors ‘Anvil Is Anvil’ (2016), ‘Pounding The Pavement’ (2018) and ‘Legal At Last’ (2019), Impact Is Imminent was produced by Martin ‘Mattes’ Pfeiffer (U.D.O., among others) and Jörg Uken at Uken’s Soundlodge studios, so the successful combination consisting of Anvil/Pfeiffer/Uken has struck again.

Slated for a release on May 20th as CD, Vinyl and Digital formats, the album pre-sale of Impact Is Imminent is available at THIS LOCATION!

SLAVES TO HUMANITY Release New Single ‘Shake My Faith’

SLAVES TO HUMANITY released their brand new single “Shake My Faith” to all digital platforms today via FRAME|WORK.

“Shake my Faith is this hard hitting, and fun rock song, with a riff that has this bouncy groove to it. The lyrics are about being forced into change and the shock of it, which is something the entire world experienced through this pandemic” says the band.

They add, “Working with Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh like always, was a pleasure. They brought in a new perspective that just helped shape the song, giving it its fullness and power. Through the mixing process, the song went through a few phases with Amir, who wanted to get this song to sound phenomenal, and I think he really succeeded with his and our vision, making it an extremely powerful and meaningful song just through his mix.”

“Shake My Faith” can be streamed/downloaded at: https://ingrv.es/shake-my-faith-xvp-2

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County California. It’s members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the band mates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands, and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single “BATTLEGROUND” which had success in radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid 19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back” which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. As of April 2022, the band continues to play shows in Southern California as well as build their social media presence.

HUNTSMEN’s New EP “The Dying Pines” Out Now

On the eve of their European and UK ‘The Carrion Tour’ dates, HUNTSMEN have released their new EP, The Dying Pines, via Prosthetic Records. The Dying Pines features two new original songs and a cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s Carry On, with the EP serving as the first glimpse of new material since the Chicago, IL bands 2020 full length, Mandala of Fear.

The Dying Pines is available on digital, as well as cassette (limited to 100 copies worldwide) – available exclusively via Bandcamp.

LISTEN TO THE DYING PINES EP via Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Bandcamp and Spotify

Speaking on the EP release, Marc Stranger-Najjar (bass / vocals) comments:  “The journey in creating this EP has been particularly special for us. We thank everyone for their support up to this point, and are thrilled to share such a raw piece of ourselves with you all.”

The hiatus from regular band activity saw HUNTSMEN return to their roots as a band, writing on an acoustic guitar and leaning into the narrative storytelling found on their debut full length, American Scrap. An invitation from Roadburn festival in the Netherlands to perform American Scrap in full at the 2022 edition of the festival gave them cause to revisit the songs that saw the band strike out with an Americana-metal sound that has been woven throughout their body of work.

A collaborative approach to the songwriting has lent itself well to blending the strengths of the individual band members, as well as allowing space for threads of their own personal stories to to make their way into the sonic tapestry of new tracks, The Dying Pines and Let The Buried Lie Forgotten. The rich instrumental layering and warm vocal harmonies are a vessel for conveying bleak themes of loss and existentialist contemplation. Once again, the evocative cover artwork has been created by drummer, Ray Knipe, complementing the organic sound of the EP, which was recorded at Electrical Audio/Hypercube studios by Sanford Parker, and mastered by Collin Jordan (The Boiler Room).

Elements of the post-apocalyptic vibe of Mandala of Fear find their way into this new EP, but The Dying Pines sits outside of the story arc present on the band’s full lengths – a vignette that lets us know the heart of this band still beats strong, and offers a hint of what’s still to come.

Upcoming HUNTSMEN shows:

The Carrion UK and Europe Tour
24 April – Roadburn Festival – Tilburg, NL
29 April – The Crofters Rights – Bristol, UK
30 April – Corporation – Sheffield, UK
1 May – Desertfest – London, UK
3 May – Star and Garter, Manchester, UK
4 May – Attic – Glasgow, UK

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN Unveil Video for New Single ‘Ozona’ + Currently Touring w/ Powerglove

Progressive/power metal group IMMORTAL GUARDIAN has unveiled the music video for their new single, “Ozona.” The song is the first new music from the group since last year’s release of their critically-acclaimed concept album “Psychosomatic.” The video can be viewed below. “Ozona” is available for download/streaming on all digital music platforms. The band is also now more than halfway through their current nationwide tour alongside video game-inspired shredders Powerglove. The full remaining tour dates are below.

“A few years, while we were on the road, we broke down in the middle of nowhere in a lil’ Texas town called Ozona,” explains guitarist Gabriel Guardian. “We had no way of getting home, and no money to resolve our problem. We just wished and wished we could get home somehow…. While we waited, we decided to write a song about our experience because we knew that we weren’t the only ones going through times like this. This song is for all the traveling souls just trying to find their way back home.”

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN‘s current tour with Powerglove has the band once again taking the sounds of “Psychosomatic” on the road following two lengthy tours that dazzled metal fans nationwide during the second half of 2021. The album has been lauded by Metal Temple for its “melody and power, two things displayed in a smashing way throughout this album” and led Metal Rules to call the group “one of the most interesting bands that have emerged in recent years on the international power metal scene.” Video clips for the title track, “Candlelight,” and “Phobia,” the latter of which featured a guest appearance by Angra guitarist Marcelo Barbosa, have captured the ears of heavy metal fans worldwide, while their videos for “Clocks,” “Lockdown” and “Read Between The Lines” have earned praise from the likes of MetalSucks, Metal Injection and Gear Gods. CD and digital editions of “Psychosomatic” are available for purchase at https://www.smarturl.com/immortalguardian.

After making a splash via their 2018 full-length debut “Age of Revolution” – which featured its own fair share of creative music videos, including the “Armageddon”-meets-telenovela clip for “Stardust” – and through tours with the likes of Marty Friedman and Exmortus, IMMORTAL GUARDIAN gathered in Las Vegas at the beginning of 2020 to record their second album. As the spread of COVID-19 and the subsequent pandemic began to ensue, shutdowns around the world began being enforced, resulting in the band completely scrapping the record that they had been working on and writing and creating a new thematic record about their emotions surrounding current events. The resulting “Psychosomatic” was a truly multi-national record, with guitarist/keyboardist Gabriel Guardian – known for his uncanny ability to play the two instruments simultaneously – remaining in Las Vegas, singer Carlos Zema recording his vocals from his home in Brazil, drummer Justin Piedimonte tracking from Montreal and bassist Joshua Lopez recording from IMMORTAL GUARDIAN‘s native Texas.

The newly-released music video for “Ozona” is but a small taste of the new territory that IMMORTAL GUARDIAN plans to take their sound in 2022. More information on additional new music and touring in 2022 will be revealed in the weeks to come by M-Theory Audio and at https://www.facebook.com/igmetal/.

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN remaining Tour Dates (with Powerglove):
4/25 – Edmonton, AB – Starlite Temple
4/26 – Calgary, AB – Dickens
4/28 – Vancouver, BC – The Red Room
4/29 – Seattle, WA – El Corazon
