TEN Present Brand New Lyric Video for ‘Miracle Of Life’

UK hard rock stalwarts TEN used the downtime during the worldwide pandemic to work on not one, but two new albums. The first album to be released, “Here Be Monsters”, has landed on February 18, 2022. Their brand new single and lyric video for the track “Miracle Of Life” is out today. Listen to our singles – “Fearless”, “Hurricane” and “Miracle Of Life” and order/save “Here Be Monsters” on CD/LP/Digital HERE: https://orcd.co/herebemonsters

Following the success of the recent string of albums, from “Albion” to “Illuminati”, Hughes is joined once again by guitarists Dann Rosingana, Steve Grocott and John Halliwell along with bass player Steve McKenna, and keyboard maestro Darrel Treece-Birch. Drums on the album have been handled by Markus Kullman (Sinner, Glenn Hughes, Voodoo Circle). TEN continue to raise the musical bar higher for themselves, a goal they push on every release. Stunning guitar work, rich keyboards, excellent bass and drum interplay along with Hughes’ rich vocals are the order of the day here. “Here Be Monsters” was produced by Gary Hughes and mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward. TEN’s longstanding professional association with Dennis has been ongoing since he mixed their 2011 album, “Stormwarning” and has always guaranteed albums with stunning sound and production.

Fans should note that there are no ties between this and the next album, ie. “Here Be Monsters” is not a “Part One” or anything of this nature. The band has simply crafted two high quality releases and decided to put them out separately, in a fashion not too dissimilar to what happened to the amazing first two records which were recorded one after the other in a very short period of time.

British hard rockers TEN have an outstanding history of releases in their storied and revered catalog. Starting out as a sort of solo project built around singer and songwriter Gary Hughes, TEN found their audience playing a hard rock sound influenced by such giants as UFO, Thin Lizzy, Magnum, Giant, and Whitesnake in a time when playing this particular sound was considered ommericial suicide. The band’s early records such as “The Name Of The Rose”, “The Robe”, “Spellbound“, and “Babylon” established the band as mainstays in the melodic hard rock genre, which has continued throughout their now 26 year career over the course of 14 studio albums.

LITTLE CAESAR to Release Re-Mastered/Repackaged “American Dream” on March 11th

LITTLE CAESAR are best remembered for their version of the soul music song “Chain of Fools, a 1989 hit single from their self-titled debut album on DGC Records, a subsidiary of Geffen Records. John Kalodner did A&R work for the group, and Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue, etc.) produced their debut self-titled album, which was released to positive reviews. On the strength of the singles “Chain of Fools” (a cover of the Aretha Franklin song) and “In Your Arms”, Little Caesar hit number 139 on the US Billboard 200 in 1990.

The band recently re-issued their 2009 release ‘Redemption’ which had been re-mastered and repackaged for a Limited “Deluxe Edition” featuring four live ‘Redemption’ tracks. Due to the amazing response of that release, they are doing it again, this time with 2012’s “American Dream”. It is once again re-mastered and repackaged as a Limited “Deluxe Edition” w/ four live “’American Dream’ bonus tracks including “Dirty Water” and others. Singer Ron Young has this to say, “We are really excited about the reissue of American Dream. It still stands up nicely over this last decade  You get to hear the moments from when we created it, along with some corresponding live versions of the songs to capture its “in the moment” energy.”

THIS IS OBLIVION Bring Violence And Violins to Self-Titled Debut Album; Release New Music Video ‘The Truth’

Consisting of vocalist/violinist Lulu Black and drummer Michael Kadnar, THIS IS OBLIVION summon a dark, evocative sound, in league with the most dramatic dirges of Chelsea Wolfe or Swans. The pair will release the self-titled debut album on May 6, 2022 via Kadnar’s label, Silent Pendulum Records.

Frst single “The Truth” mesmerizes as it punishes; haunting vocals coil around funereal strings and cannon-fire drums. The accompanying music video, directed by Brendan McGowan and starring Black and Kadnar, is a suitably beautiful, intense, and theatrical clip, presenting a purple-lit dream sequence of chains, thorns, and fire.

Black describes the concepts behind This Is Oblivion‘s debut album: “It’s an exploration of the cyclical nature of connection; how every moment in time is paradoxically suspended somewhere between a moment of collapse and ascendance; how love can be an anchor when the world seems to be ending and love itself can feel like the end of the world.” This paradox is expressed in “The Truth” as Black sings, “I will ruin you / I will run to you / I want you to ruin me / I want you to run from me.”

A classical music major in college, Black’s interest in other genres – industrial, darkwave, doom, and more – led her to start creating her own music. “My biggest influence has always been Nine Inch Nails, especially Trent and Atticus’ cinematic scores,” she states. “I love gritty textures paired with gorgeous harmonies.”

Kadnar is known to many as the rhythm machine behind bands such as Downfall of Gaia,The Number Twelve Looks Like You and So Hideous. Known predominantly as a metal drummer, Kadnar separates himself from the pack by bringing outside influences into his playing, from jazz, funk, world music, and beyond; in This Is Oblivion, he utilizes a whole palette of percussion and his approach ranges from the delicate to the colossally heavy.

Black and Kadnar began This Is Oblivion in the spring of 2020. The two are not only in a band together, but in a relationship. “Collaborating with a romantic partner is a first for both of us,” says Black. “A relationship that then evolves into an artistic collaboration can be hugely positive but also very raw and vulnerable at times.” The couple’s debut album was recorded and mixed in 2021 by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (Lingua Ignota, The Body) and mastered by Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering (Depeche Mode, David Lynch). The cover art was created by Rose Callahan and Taylor Bates.

EARSHOT Release Two New Singles ‘YOU + I’ + ‘Tongue Tied (Unplugged)’

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: EARSHOT. Leave a comment

EARSHOT released two new singles “You + I” and “Tongue Tied (Unplugged)” to all major platforms!

“You + I” was written by Wil Martin, Andy Stafford, Aaron Fink, John Novak and Michael Sylvia. The song was produced by Wil Martin & Aaron Fink, mixed and mastered by Allen Terry.

“Tongue Tied (Unplugged)” was written, produced and mixed by Wil Martin and mastered by Rob Brill. The song was previously released on their second album TWO.

“You + I” and “Tongue Tied (Unplugged)” can be streamed/downloaded at:

“When I first heard the guitars in the verse for ‘You + I’, it instantly conjured up thoughts and feelings that reminded me of the emotional rush and mental obsession that typically happens between 2 people in the beginning of a new relationship, and I just went with it. It all came together very fast and organically,” says Wil Martin.

He continues, “‘Tongue Tied’ has ALWAYS been a personal favorite of mine and for this release, I just felt like it was a fitting duality. Not only do I think that we pulled it off beautifully, but it doesn’t come across to me as a sad ‘woe is me’ song. Instead, I feel like it comes across as more matter of fact and emotionally resolved.”

Aaron Fink adds, “‘You + I’ was the first song we all started working on when I first joined the band and I knew right away we were on to something very special with this one. I heard the verse guitar parts in my head instantly and the bridge parts too. There was no hesitation, it just all came together really quickly and effortlessly. The song was recorded during Covid so we unfortunately tracked it remotely, however, it FEELS really good when I hear the final mix and it all gels. That’s a testament to our potential and to what may come. Everybody in the band played their ass off on ‘You & I’. Everyone shines and I love Wil’s lyrics for the song. Really well thought out and emotional.”

In regards to “Tongue Tied”, Fink says “Our acoustic version of ‘Tongue Tied’ turned out beautifully I think, a really interesting spin on an old song from the catalog. Andy and I played some nice juxtaposing rhythm parts that make for a nice blend when heard together. Wil had a great idea to not sing the last chorus at all and have some kind of lead on the guitar, really take it somewhere else. Love that arrangement and the lift that it creates.”

In a sea of melodic clones struggling to break through the surface, Earshot has always had the innate ability to transcend the rigid barrier of genre-defining music with a singular sound that can only be described as their own.

Their signature, driving, hard rock beats coupled with hook-laden harmonies are matched only by their unbridled creativity and willingness to experiment with musical textures and themes – elements that had captivated fans’ attention in the band’s early days and continue to do so now 20 years later.

Formed in 1999 – the genesis of lead vocalists, Wil Martin, with then members (Bassist) Guy Couturier, (Drummer) Dieter Hartman and (Guitarist) Scott Kohler– the Los Angeles-based band quickly shot to success after signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2002. They released their debut album LETTING GO (produced by David Kahne and mixed by Andy Wallace).

Upon its release, the band quickly found themselves on the road touring constantly with such notable rock acts such as Kid Rock, Staind, Shinedown, Hooabstank and Stone Temple Pilots to support the record.

This national exposure, combined with an aggressive radio campaign, pushed their debut single “Get Away” to #4 on the U.S. Active Rock Radio Charts where it stayed in the Top 100 for over 64 weeks. At the same time, Earshot’s hit song “Headstrong” was featured on The Queen of The Damned soundtrack alongside other artists such as Disturbed, Deftones and Marilyn Manson, further cementing their place among rock’s elite.

However, it wasn’t until the band’s sophomore album TWO (produced by Johnny K. and mixed by Rich Costey), released by Warner Bros. Records in 2004, that they would hit mainstream success with their single “Wait.” It not only reached #9 on U.S. Active Rock Radio but was also featured on the Madden NFL 2005 and MX vs. ATV Unleashed video game soundtracks.

After the success of their first two albums, Earshot found themselves at a crossroads with Warner Bros. Records and eventually parted ways in 2005. This led to a brief break for the band before inking a deal with Indegoot/Fontana/Universal Recordings in 2007 to release their 3rd album THE SILVER LINING (produced by Brian Garcia and Wil Martin; mixed by Mike Watts) yielding their fifth-charting radio single “MisSunderstood.”

With three chart-topping albums under their belts and a rigorous seven years of touring and recording, Earshot took a hiatus after the release of THE SILVER LINING. Yet after a nearly decade-long break they emerged producing their long-awaited fourth studio recording AFTERMATH (produced by Wil Martin and mixed by Sam Hughes), a five-song EP featuring an intimate, re-recorded acoustic performance of “Fall Apart,” previously released on the band’s second and most beloved album TWO, as well as the release of the album’s first single “Now That It’s Over.”

Through the epic highs and lows of the music industry as well as life in general, Earshot once again reactivated in 2019 with four new members: Aaron Fink, the former lead guitarist for Platinum-selling Breaking Benjamin, bassist John Novak from the alternative rock band Down To Six, drummer Mike Sylvia and guitarist Andy Stafford.

Regardless of the trends, trials and tribulations, Earshot has always remained true to themselves and continue to produce music that their fans can relate to on a deeper level, beginning with their remake of Alanis Morrisette’s “Uninvited” and their first single of 2021, “Been A Long Time” which was the #2 MOST ADDED on the Billboard (BDS) Mainstream Rock Indicator chart, reaching the Top 20 Billboard Mainstream and Active Rock Charts.
