JOE BONAMASSA has announced the special vinyl re-issues for ‘You & Me’, ‘The Ballad of John Henry’ and ‘Live from The Royal Albert Hall’, coming out April 22nd via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.

His fifth studio album, originally released in 2006, ‘You & Me’ has been remastered from single to 180g heavyweight 2-LP transparent orange vinyl – on coloured vinyl for the first time. When released it hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Blues chart and featured a crack band of Carmine Rojas (Bass), Jason Bonham (Drums), Rick Melick (Piano/Organ) and Jeff Bova (Orchestration). At the time it was declared his best work to date by Allmusic.com and features his takes on Led Zeppelin’s “Tea for One,” Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Your Funeral and My Trial” and Charley Patton’s “High Water Everywhere” as well as Bonamassa originals including “Bridge to Better Days” and “Asking Around for You.”

The 2009 fan favourite and iconic ‘The Ballad of John Henry’ will be also available on coloured vinyl for the first time, has been remastered on 180g heavyweight 2LP brown vinyl and includes a bonus track – B.B. King’s “Chains and Things.” Bonamassa’s seventh studio album saw him steamroll into another US Billboard Blues #1 as well as it making waves across the charts around Europe. Well on his way to becoming a superstar, several Bonamassa originals adorn the album as well as covers of Tom Waits, Sam Brown and Ike & Tina Turner, highlighting the sheer scope of his palette.

It is in a live setting where Joe Bonamassa the performer really thrives and in May 2009, he played the historic Royal Albert Hall in London. It was an incredible memory for everyone present and one of his greatest live performances has been remastered on high-quality 180g heavyweight triple vinyl for the first time. The majestic evening saw him glide through his back catalogue of original hits as well as inspired covers and featured guest performances from Eric Clapton and Paul Jones – truly a special night to savour.

With tours through Europe, an upcoming performance at Sweden Rock and a passionate following under their belts, hard rock upstarts BOMBER are sure to leave their mark on modern hard rock! 

Today, the band reports back with the second single off their upcoming debut album, Nocturnal Creatures, to be released on March 25, 2022 via Napalm Records. “A Walk Of Titans (Hearts Will Break)” is a song about change – the end of relationships, the question of which bridges to burn and bridges yet to cross, as well as the sacrifices we make and the cost of moving forward. It lures with peaceful melodies and Anton Skölds’s powerful, standout voice, aiding to BOMBER’s distinctive hard rock sound.

Anton Sköld on the single “A Walk Of Titans (Hearts Will Break)”:
“Titans is by far the darkest song on the album. I wrote the bulk of the music in one session while going through break-ups in both my personal and professional life. It was very much a subconscious thing. Love (Andersson) came up with a bunch of lyrics which fit the mood perfectly. Add Rasmus Grahn’s ultra heavy drumming and the song was a wrap.”

Love Andersson and Rasmus Grahn add:
“This song is incredibly complex in terms of overdubs and other elements. There are over a hundred channels squeezed into five minutes of music. Just mixing it was a gargantuan task, but in the end we got it right. This thing is earth-shakingly heavy!
We never intended it to be a single but wherever we went people reacted very strongly to it. The label (Napalm Records) included. Sometimes the bigger hits are not the most obvious ones.”

Max Huddén on the video: 
“The video shoot was an intense experience. It was freezing cold (you can see our breath if you look closely!) and the fire alarm kept going off all day. But everyone on set kept positive – we just knew we were onto something great”

Following their massive German chart entry at #1, the new FEUERSCHWANZ album, Memento Mori, has already landed its seventh consecutive week on the official German album charts. Today, the band has released a video for “Skaldenmet”, recorded during the livestream for the album release on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021. It is already the seventh video the German group has released from their successful album.

FEUERSCHWANZ on the background of “Skaldenmet” in Norse mythology:
“After the war (Æsir– Vanir Var) between the two peoples of the gods, all the gods spat into a barrel to seal peace. From this saliva an extraordinarily wise being named Kvasir was born. This was murdered by the two black elves Fjallarr and Galarr and its blood was collected in one mighty and two small cauldrons. From the blood, with the addition of honey, they brewed a mead, through the consumption of which anyone could become a poet. 

After that, the two dwarves killed the giant Gillingr and his wife, but were caught by the giant’s son, Suttungr, and could only save their lives by offering him the mead. Suttungr accepted the offer and kept the Skaldenmet in Mount Hnitbjörg, where his daughter Gunnlöð guarded it. 
In order to get the Skaldenmet, Odin slipped into Mount Hnitbjörg in the form of a snake. After spending three nights with the giant daughter Gunnlöð, she gave him three sips of the mead in thanks. Thereupon Odin turned into an eagle and flew to Asgard. There he spewed the mead into the bowls of the Aesir…”

On Memento Mori, FEUERSCHWANZ finally make the step away from the simpler humor of earlier days, to one of the most important bands in German Folk-Rock!

With chanting violin playing, Memento Mori starts its heroic journey with its eponymous opener. The song turns out to be a melodic rock anthem with a well-known medieval character, a blazing guitar riff and life-affirming lyrics. On “Untot im Drachenboot”, the squad around Hauptmann Feuerschwanz sets off for new musical shores in a Viking ship full of undead warriors. “Rausch der Barberei”, on the other hand delivers a violent, raw voice and driving drumming that send its listeners into unbridled frenzy. On “Krampus”, FEUERSCHWANZ sing in a canon of vocals and instruments about the ancient legend of the demonic companion of St. Nicholas, who is dressed in fur and a horned mask. On the ballad “Das Herz eines Drachen” (The Heart of a Dragon), the medieval folk rockers show their sensible side. In a fire lit by burning guitar sounds and flute melodies, a warrior mourns his fallen father with his head held high. “Hannibal” on the other hand embarks on a raging battle of powerful choirs, swirling violin and guitar solos and driving drums, led by army commander Hannibal. The crowning finale of the almost 40-minute adventure is provided by “Skaldenmet” with its proudly advancing bass. 

In trademark FEUERSCHWANZ style, Memento Mori is about great adventures, historic battles and outstanding heroic deeds. FEUERSCHWANZ manage to stay true to their trademarks and at the same time venture into new musical realms. Fans of the band can look forward to an extensive deluxe edition of the album, which extends the running time of Memento Mori by almost double! Two additional CDs feature instrumental versions of all eleven tracks as well as the cover CD Die Glorreichen Sieben (The Magnificent Seven), which includes seven epic reissues from Amon Amarth to Die Ärzte and The Weeknd.

‘The Heaviest Sound is Silence‘ is the latest offering from CHLOE TRUJILLO & RAV MEDIC, out now on all platforms, through Golden Robot Records.

Written by Trujillo, ‘The Heaviest Sound is Silence‘ explores ways to escape the daily madness and find inner calm. In a world of chaos and distraction, sometimes the hardest thing to find is peace and silence. A mellow sync pattern starts the track, before a low and heavy riff gets the song moving, with Chloe’s vocals driving the melody.

Born in Paris France, Chloe Trujillo has immersed herself in the art/music world from a young age. Her music is infused with anything from rap, metal, gypsy & blues. She first got her Visa through performing in NYC cabarets & musical theatre. From there, she was invited to LA by Gail Zappa to record the Frank Zappa cover ‘The Torture Never Stops’. Chloe is also wife of Robert Trujillo from Metallica/Suicidal Tendencies. 

Mark, who is originally from New Zealand, made the move to Australia and started rock outfit Bellusira, who went on to release two notable albums and move to America briefly under management from Will Hunt (Evanescence). The band toured the USA a few times and had Koichi Fukuda from Static-X take over guitar duties. Once that project came to an end, Mark decided to stay in America and continue his musical pursuit. 

Both parties met in early 2021 when asked to be a part of the Global Green Charity Event held at the Troubadour in LA.  

After connecting online and having a mutual respect for each other’s music, Trujillo and Mark suggested the idea of doing a collaboration. The track ‘Lightning Strikes Twice’ was the outstanding result. The feedback from the single was strong and they both enjoyed working together so much, that they decided to continue to work together under the banner Chloe Trujillo & Rav Medic.
