German Rock n’ Rollers STINGER sign with ROAR! Rock of Angels Records!
The award-winning band STINGER was founded in 2016. Head, and rhythm guitarist of the band is Matthew Sting. The voice of the band belongs to Martin „Schaffi“ Schaffrath. The lead guitar is played by the youngest member of the squad, Adrian Seidel. Sammy Sin hit the drums and Simon Simon not only plays his bass excellently, he also finds a solution for every technical challenge the band may face.
Nowadays, honest feelings and passion are more in demand than ever. STINGER is a band that carries authenticity as a large banner. There are musicians at work, who write hand-made, honest songs. The result is thoroughly honest, raw hard rock, with a touch of blues that lays above all. Founded in 2016, they have already brought top-class reinforcements on board for the first EP “MOSQUITO” and the long player “DISADVANTAGED”. Three former AC/DC members and other musicians from ROSE TATTOO, as well as DORO and DIO, were chosen for the recordings. The proceeds of the silver disc, which was awarded the “HARDROCK ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2017” at the GERMAN ROCK & POP AWARD, were donated to a parents‘ initiative for children with cancer in Germany.
With the CD „COLOURBLIND“, the band again won the GERMAN ROCK & POP AWARD, this time for the best „HARDROCK ALBUM 2019“. Furthermore, STINGER were awarded as „BEST GERMAN HARD ROCK BAND 2019“. And then they did it again. In 2021 they won the GERMAN ROCK & POP AWARD right away with the single „Chasing Utopia“ for the „BEST HARD ROCK SINGLE 2021“, which just will be released was recorded with the one and only BILLY SHEEHAN (MR. BIG, DAVID LEE ROTH, THE WINERY DOGS) on bass.
In front of 50,000 spectators, STINGER were part of the new edition of the legendary WERNER RACE and already got people‘s attention at the legendary German festivals „WACKEN“, „CLASSIC ROCK NIGHT PYRAS“, „BALTIC OPEN AIR“ and at the „BONFEST“ in Scotland.
Like a gunboat, STINGER fires from all cannons and convince the crowd. The groove that the guys present goes straight into the ears and legs. STINGER do not attach great importance to frills. What counts is the attitude towards life called ROCK ‘N‘ ROLL. Anyone looking for a band that inspires rock fans of all ages will make the best choice with STINGER. There are currently only a few bands that can impress the press and fans alike.
Today we proudly announce the signing of a multi-album deal with STINGER and welcome the band to the ROAR! Rock of Angels roster.

Norwegian multi-instrumentalist SYLVAINE will be releasing her fourth studio album, ‘Nova,’ on March 4, 2021! The singer/songwriter is now sharing the ethereal title track along with a visualizer. Listen at THIS LOCATION.
SYLVAINE comments on the track: “Even without saying a single word, ‘Nova’ perfectly captures every single emotion that went into the creation of this fourth album of mine. It’s hard to put into words what this song means to me and just how much it makes me feel every single time I listen to it. All I will say is that nothing felt more fitting than to open such an incredibly personal album with such a naked piece of music, made up of the most personal instrument I could’ve chosen: my voice. My soul laid barer than ever before; this is ‘Nova.'”
In addition, SYLVAINE will be embarkin on her first ever North American tour this spring in support of AMORPHIS! SYLVAINE will join the tour on April 18 in Millvale, PA and will cross the country before circling back to the East Coast where the trek will conclude in Baltimore, MD on May 12. Named an ‘Extraordinary Canadian,’ the award-winning Canadian rocker and Governor General of Canada Meritorious Service Medal recipient’s story is one for the ages. But one peek up the sleeve at the hundreds of names tattooed on his arm — plus his newly released single, “This Is War” — reveals so much more.
“The names are from over 900 suicide notes I’ve received from kids,” ROBB NASH explains. “Some of them have my lyrics as tattoos, too; it’s a mutual relationship of ‘go forth and conquer.’”
Alongside The Robb Nash Project’s new song, “This Is War,” and the forthcoming album of the same name, the skin-inked gesture is part of Nash’s long-held commitment to combat mental illness — a high-stakes conflict he personally endured.
Found with no pulse following a head-on collision, Robb Nash was resuscitated on the side of the icy road near his home in Winnipeg, MB. His skull was rebuilt with Titanium, and his lengthy recovery sparked a severe depression. “Frankly, I did not want to be alive,” he shares. “I was an athlete; my identity was lost, and that brought me to a very dark place for two-and-a-half years.
“Men in this society can feel like talking about our feelings or struggles is weak, so I kept it inside. One day, I picked up the guitar and started my entire journey into music to tell my story.”
While that journey included, at one point, a record deal on the table, it ultimately morphed into a motivational-meets-music tour telling his story, confronting stigmas, demonstrating purpose, and welcoming those most vulnerable to feel okay asking for help.
Now in its 11th year and counting, The Robb Nash Project has appeared before more than 500,000 people — mostly students across the country, as well as at maximum security prisons, and keynote speeches for the Psychiatric Association of Canada. He also works closely with Kids Help Phone, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and school counsellors to ensure students get the follow-up they need.
While the new album’s inspiration might have come from students coast to coast, the sound on This Is War is all Nash’s. Co-produced by Anthony Anderson and Steve Smith, the 13-track heavy rock release reveals the familiar full-throated rallying cry of anger, hope, and concern previously displayed across EPs Tell Me Why (2019), Live on Arrival (2020), and more. This is War marks the first release under Nash’s new partnership with Warner Music Canada.
“It all has the same goal: save lives,” Nash says of both his public health leadership and music — including This Is War. “I’ve realized you can have all the resources available, but if people aren’t ready to reach out for help, it’s no use.
“In that, I was trying to figure out what my role was,” he shares of both the album, and his ongoing ethos that’s earned him a rightful spot in Peter Mansbridge’s book, Extraordinary Canadians, as well the Meritorious Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada.
“I’m not a counsellor. I’m not a psychologist. I’m here to get the conversation started, and to let people know it’s okay to reach out for help.”
“This Is War” is available now. This Is War album is available June 10th, 2022.
Psych rock outfit KILFEATHER released their latest full-length album Island of Forgotten Toys in November 2020 via Riot Records. Since the release of the album, KILFEATHER has been active in recording new material and returned with two singles at the back end of 2021 ‘Nightmares’ and ‘Bummer’.
Now KILFEATHER are back with another new single ‘Waiting to Get In’ which is now available on all digital platforms.
KILFEATHER’s furious new single ‘Waiting to Get In’ is a dinge rock tune purportedly about the trials and tribulations within the scenes of a city nightscape. This steadily paced odyssey has flavors of heavy rock Americana country twang, along with a nostalgic 90’s backbeat, and is balanced with the psych garage aftertaste of today.
