THE FREQUENCY CONSPIRACY, the new project from Southern California-based drummer Joel Maitoza (24-7 Spyz, Seventrain, Shockhead) has just released a new video for their latest single ‘Sailing‘. The amped-up cover version of the Christopher Cross “yacht rock” classic from 1979 features Craig Soderberg on guitars/vocals, Joel Maitoza on drums and Jaimie Scott on bass. The single is taken from the nine song debut album “Quarantine Covers” which is available now on CD through Amazon, as well as all digital and streaming platforms.

CELESTE Release New Single ‘Elle répète froidement’

There’s a menacing red-shimmering light at the end of the dark journey that CELESTE started last year, since signing to metal heavyweight Nuclear Blast and announcing their new masterpiece. Today, the band unleashes their new longplayer “Assassine(s)”, produced by Chris Edrich (GOJIRA, TESSERACT, THE OCEAN, LEPROUS).

With their unique mix of black metal, sludge and post hardcore, and over 500 shows played since their inception in 2005, CELESTE have cemented their status as one of France’s most important underground acts and now unveil a new single off their new album, released today!

TURBO Get Thrills with Amusement Park Break In To Film Music Video ‘Alive’

Last year TURBO released their debut album “Fast as Fvck”, a thrash metal rollercoaster of a musical ride that grabs you and doesn’t let go. Today, they have a new music video in support of the song “Alive” and to film it, they broke into an abandoned amusement park. This stunt is perfect for a band who describes their sound as “if nitroglycerin had a soundtrack”.

The intention with their sound was to be like a gateway-drug into the rock-and-roll lifestyle, but without all the glitz and glamour of a Snakeoil Salesman band really trying to sell you on it. According to the Turbo, this is something a bit grittier, a bit more street, a bit rawer, and a bit more real. They go on to explain the track “Alive”:

“It is more or less a written testament to bad-decisions with one of the most badass riffs on the album slapped on top of it. The song features a call-and-response guitar harmony and an anthemic chorus. There’s not too much more to say on it apart from being among the most fun songs on the album; definitely one to do a keg stand along to!”

Each of the members of Turbo was in separate bands when they came together with the desire to be part of something bigger and badder.

“Something that was gonna grab things right by the cojones and give it a good shake.”

Their album “Fast as Fvck” is an homage to true rock and roll in its most vicious and visceral form. Each of the seven tracks hit like a swift kick to the teeth from a whole new angle of attack, but the assault is far from a mindless battering to the eardrums.

Finnish ANIMA HERETICAE Release Sort Film Music Video ‘Constellation Of Capricorn’

Finnish melodic death metallers ANIMA HERETICAE have released a 12 minute long music video short film from the song Constellation Of Capricorn. The released video is shot for the final song of the debut EP and it is the band’s second video. The band’s music is a mixture of melancholic and mystic death metal. The Bands song themes are inspired by the northern nature and it’s mysthicisma and the new video explores this concept even further.

“We have had an idea of a video with an apocalyptic setup for quite a while. It was exciting to see how someone outside the band would see our vision. It was pretty clear from the very beginning that the producers Atte Santala & Jenna Wáthen would be able to interperent our band’s theme to the apocalyptic setting. It was a real acid test for our concept. It seems that our music and themes can be visualized beyond vikings, castles and mountains. To the future, that is.” The band describes the process.
