Today, eclectic Norwegian hard rock band WHITE VOID, centered around Lars Nedland (Borknagar, Solefald), is releasing a cover of the song “The Hunt” by British indie rock and post punk heroes NEW MODEL ARMY from their 1986 album “The Ghost Of Cain”. The track features a guest lead guitar appearance by none other than PARADISE LOST’s Greg Mackintosh.
Lars Nedland comments: “The last two years have been strange for musicians. Lockdowns and isolation isn’t the best way to go about as a band, so White Void tried to counter this by staying busy and recording new music. First up: a cover song of one of our favourite artists, New Model Army. This song was recorded during lock-down, so we were never in the studio at the same time, and that got us thinking: What if we created a video mirroring the situation this recording arose from? We all set up cameras in our respective home studios, hit record, and performed the song together – while still being apart. We even had guest guitarist Greg Mackintosh of Paradise Lost set up a camera in his studio and record as he played the song’s solo. So, this video is a testament to how corona affects musicians and to how new situations spark creativity and new expressions. And with that, we invite you into our homes and “The Hunt”. We hope you enjoy it”
Greg Mackintosh (Paradise Lost, Vallenfyre) adds:“ When I was approached about contributing to a NMA cover I was kind of amused because I’ve had a rehearsal room next door to them for the last 20 years. Then I heard it was ‘The Hunt’ which is up there as one of my favourite songs by them. Then Lars sent me their version of the song which I thought was great and I figured I may be able to add some sprinkles on top. The result is a really vibrant and passionate take on a great song by a unique band. I think Justin would approve.”
WHITE VOID’s debut album Anti was released on March 12, 2021. You can BUY or STREAM the album here: http://nblast.de/WhiteVoid-Anti

BELPHEGOR main man Helmuth comments: “We’ve rearranged and re-recorded a medley of two songs off the BLUTSABBATH album [1997] as a promotional single for the re-release of our first two full-length LPs due 14th January 2022 in double CD and single LP formats. Florian Klein, aka Torturer, tracked the drums, and the “BLACKEST SABBATH 1997” was mixed & mastered at Jens Bogren´s Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden. It was a thrilling experiment to re-record this song I wrote in 1996 with a new soundwall, our current skills and recording capabilities 25 years later. We hail you demons, enjoy this special offering from us!”

New York death metal giants, IMMOLATION, are proud to announce their latest immense creation, Acts Of God, which will be released February 18, 2022. The 11th studio album serves as the next chapter of IMMOLATION’s death metal epic. With 5 long years passed since Atonement, Acts Of God vigorously showcases IMMOLATION’s ability to consistently create fascinating sounds, while still keeping their feet firmly rooted in the old school, New York Death Metal for which they are renowned.
Today, the band offers fans the first single of the album, “Apostle”. Produced, directed, and edited by the band’s own Robert Vigna, the video can be viewed here:
IMMOLATION vocalist / bassist Ross Dolan comments, “After 5 long years, we are very excited to finally announce the arrival of our 11th full-length album Acts of God on February 18th, 2022! This time around, we have 15 tracks of some of the darkest and most haunting Immolation material to date! For the first single, we chose the song ‘Apostle’ because it’s a very dark song that offers the listener all the elements of the IMMOLATION sound. It’s a heavy and explosive track that ebbs and flows from start to finish, with dark and creepy soundscapes and extreme bursts of dark energy that will take the listener on a dark journey that is just a small glimpse of what the album has to offer. Enjoy!”
Acts Of God saw the return of long-time friend and recording counterpart Paul Orofino of Millbrook Studios (BLUE OYSTER CULT, BAD CO, GOLDEN EARRING) while final touches were brought about on the mixing and mastering by Zack Ohren of Castle Ultimate Studios. For the cover artwork, the band enlisted Eliran Kantor to create the haunting new masterpiece that featured the muted colors and ethereal images that are hallmarks for IMMOLATION’s artwork. The artwork pieces Inside the booklet were created by Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design.

Hailing from the same icy darkness of the Scandinavian inland that birthed the Grammy Award-winning theatrical metal band GHOST, PRIEST has come to thaw the icy circuits of your frostbitten, winter-chilled heart with a brilliant new single. “A Signal In The Noise” is the first single from the new album by the enigmatic trio, which consists of vocalist Mercury (known as Water when he played bass for GHOST), keyboardist Salt (formerly GHOST keyboardist Air), and programmer/ keyboardist Sulfur. The new album is slated for 2022 and is produced by another GHOST alumni Simon Söderberg (guitarist and producer/engineer of GHOST’s debut album Opus Eponymous).
Although the group has been putting out albums since 2017, this new album marks a significant departure, with a drastically darker mood yet still maintains the band’s penchant for strong hooks and melodies. Speaking about the new single, a spokesperson for PRIEST declares “‘A Signal in the Noise’ is the first glimpse of a darker era in PRIEST’s timeline. The industrial rhythms and melodies paint a vast canvas of an apocalyptic future. To accompany the track, we needed a gritty video with an urban feeling. We are very excited to show it to you!”
Post-punk alt rockers JOY/DISASTER have released the third of four live video series for the song ‘Dealer of Life‘, recorded and mastered by Gorgor at Studio De La Forge on October 30th, 2021. The track is taken from the band’s 2019 album “Æternum“.
Last live video at Studio De La Forge for ‘Alloy’ will be unleashed on December 20th.
JOY/DISASTER’s new album ‘From Stars To Angels’, includes 14 intimate tracks which trace the evolution of emotions during a period of isolation. ‘From Stars To Angels’ is available on all major platforms since September 10th 2021.
JOY/DISASTER commented on the recording sessions: “Composed during the confinement period between March and May 2020, FROM STARS TO ANGELS is an album bringing together very intimate tracks and which traces the evolution of emotions during a period of isolation. Each of us has taken a different look at the world, the media, nature and it is these developments that have given aggressive and melancholic nuances transcribed on these songs. Given the difficulties in being able to move around, only the drums were recorded in DIY studio conditions but for the rest of the recordings, everyone recorded at home and then sent the tracks for mixing and mastering.”
About the musical style, the band adds: “We do not respect musical codes, each album is different even if we find common sounds and harmonies, and we’re always trying to find new creative methods to express ourselves through the music. Every new thing brings joys and disappointments, but that’s why we keep our rock’n roll spirit!”
