The new FLAT EARTH single “Adore” will be released on all streaming platforms tomorrow 29 October and video on Youtube 12:00 EET.

Heavy, melodic and passionate, Flat Earth is a hard rock band from Helsinki, Finland, founded by Ex-Amorphis bass player (Niclas Etelävuori) Ex-HIM guitarist (Linde Lindström) Ex-HIM drummer (Gas Lipstick) and Polanski singer (Anthony Pikkarainen). The band produces heavy riffs, blasting beats and cinematic chords that combine to create an unforgiving, passionate, and dynamic sound.

The band’s debut single ‘Blame’ premiered on Radio Rock in 2018, immediately gaining popularity throughout Finland and the rest of Europe. The single Cyanide followed in the footsteps of the debut single, gaining public recognition and earning them a spot opening for ‘Alice in Chains’ in Helsinki. To date, they have over half a million streams on Spotify alone.

In the beginning of 2019, the band entered the studio to record the follow up to their debut album ‘None for One’. This time with legendary producer Tim Palmer behind the mixing desk. With the album now complete for 2 years, the band are ready to hit the road once again and unleash their finest creation to the world.

Flat Earth’s second album “High on Lies” is coming out 2022.

THE LUCID FURS Release Brand New ‘Five Finger Disco’ Video

While Detroit power blues rockers THE LUCID FURS are gearing up for the release of their third full-length album, entitled Damn! That Was Easy (due out this Friday on Argonauta Records!), the band just shared a brand new video clip for the funky track “Five Finger Disco”!

Since their debut in 2017 and the highly acclaimed, latest album No God? No Problem, released in 2019, THE LUCID FURS have invaded music venues with their heavy blues rock concoctions. The band‘s live performances build up with a big, head bang energy, winds down to sultry blues, then blasts back into hard rock with a dash of funk you can’t help but dance to. Diving deeper into their forthcoming album, the band’s talent and soul of the blues is immediatly evident – always driven by a vibrant 70‘s vintage vibe – THE LUCID FURS provides an extraordinary rock experience.

“We knew we had to make a music video for the hip shakin’ four on the floor tune on the album.” Says vocalist Karen O’Connor. “Nick dreamed up the concept of the car contest, we hired Bryan Lackner to film/direct it and made a Facebook casting call. A dozen of our Detroit friends showed up on site without having much or any idea what rolls they would play. Most scenes were spur of the moment ideas put into action. The wrap party for this shoot was a 300 water balloon fight.”

Get yourself into the heavily grooving mood of THE LUCID FURS‘ new album, and watch their video clip for “Five Finger Disco” right here:

THE LUCID FURS are a collaborative songwriting team. Their songs embody a culmination of each member’s early influences; ranging from rock classics like Alice Cooper and Heart, to Chicago blues like Howlin’ Wolf and Buddy Guy, to the era of alternative rock groups like Soundgarden and Queens Of The Stone Age. Their friendship extends beyond the band, creating an authentic vibe of camaraderie that you can feel in their sound off and on stage. Despite the tour hiatus brought on by Covid, THE LUCID FURS have stayed focused. Taking that time to record their new album, out as LP, CD and Digital formats on October 29, 2021 through Argonauta, and with a hopefully busy touring schedule to follow in the not so distant future.

MÖTLEY CRÜE Partner With Z2 Comics for Graphic Novel Mötley Crüe’s ‘The Dirt: Declassified’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 28, 2021

MÖTLEY CRÜE may be responsible for blazing a path of hard rock and chaos for the past 40 years, netting seven platinum and multi-platinum albums alongside global album sales exceeding 100 million. But this spring, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars come in from the cold to reveal their greatest accomplishment of all: protecting the world at all costs as covert government agents.

Uniting with Z2 Comics, the premier publisher of music-based graphic novels, MÖTLEY CRÜE’S THE DIRT: DECLASSIFIED unearths the classified exploits of these rock pioneers as they navigated an international web of moles, sleepers, spooks, and plants. Building from the New York Time bestselling book and subsequent  Netflix movie The Dirt, Leah Moore (Morrison Hotel) documents the quartet’s twisting journey with interior art from John K. Snyder III (Suicide Squad, Grendel) and J.M. Beroy (Deadman, Star Trek). Armitano (Batman Eternal) joins with dossier art alongside cover artist Dan Panosian (Canary, Slots).

“Playing arenas overflowing with tens of thousands of fans was just a front for our true mission,” Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx explains. “The reality is that we were infiltrating [REDACTED] in a globe-hopping sprint to [REDACTED]. But that doesn’t even include the disaster at [REDACTED] or near fatal heist in [REDACTED]. We have a lot to say and it’s time the people knew.”

“Mötley Crüe remains the one group whose live show in the ‘80s felt truly dangerous. Now that I know the truth about the band, it’s obvious why.” Z2 Senior Editor Rantz Hoseley says. “We’re proud to have gained the trust of these live wires to tell the secrets they’ve been forced to cover up for decades… we guarantee you aren’t ready for the madness and mayhem in this graphic novel.”

Mötley Crüe is set to join Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on their highly anticipated co-headlining ‘THE STADIUM TOUR’ throughout the United States next summer. The tour kicks off Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Atlanta, GA.  For more information on dates and tickets, please visit: https://www.motley.com/stadium-tour-2022

MÖTLEY CRÜE’S THE DIRT: DECLASSIFIED will debut exclusively on Z2’s webstore in April 2022, available in the following bundles:

NUCLEAR WAR NOW re-releases SARCOFAGUS‘ “Cycle Of Life” And Kimmo Kuusniemi Band (Sarcofagus) “Moottorilinnut” (Motorbirds) Albums as luxury Gatefold Vinyls.

Guitarist and film maker Kimmo Kuusniemi: ’I was very pleased with the high quality Nuclear War Now “Envoy Of Death” Vinyl and Compact Cassette re-releases. Now I am very pleased to announce that NUCLEAR WAR NOW re-releases Sarcofagus “Cycle Of Life” and Kimmo Kuusniemi Band (Sarcofagus) “Moottorilinnut” (Motorbirds) Albums as luxury Gatefold Vinyls.

At the same time I am working Sarcofagus “Live For The Last Time” recording. This is the only full Sarcofagus concert ever recorded. This is 100% authentic recording, no fixings in the studio!”

Here you can read a nice review of the previous NUCLEAR WAR NOW Sarcofagus “Envoy Of Death” re-release from Metal Temple.

Metal Temple: “I very much enjoyed this album. It really is something special, a bizarre fossil of a different time in music, which stretches itself and the genre of early Heavy Metal to the limits. The performances are all superb, and the head spinning array of effects and experimental sounds imbue the whole affair with an intoxicating and ghostly atmosphere. An explosion of creativity, it is ahead of its time in some ways, and building on what has come before in others. This album will excite and disturb you, but it will certainly never bore you.” Chris Hicklin

About Korpiklaani

Korpiklaani are a folk metal band originally from Lahti, Finland, founded by Jonne Järvelä. While other folk metal bands began with metal before adding folk music, Korpiklaani started with folk music before turning metal. Korpiklaani lyrics often originate from ancient Finnish and Sami traditions, and the band mixes tough heavy metal and traditional music played with instruments such as the violin, accordion and even jouhikko and torupill. The band have made twelve full-length albums so far.

About Kimmo Kuusniemi

Kimmo Kuusniemi is a professional film maker and musician based in UK. He has made numerous films from music videos to International TV Series. With his partner in film, Eugene O’Connor, together and separately they have worked with such names as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Madonna, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Kimmo’s band Sarcofagus were formed in 1978 and were the first Finnish heavy metal band. He also made probably the first in the world broadcast quality album length music video “Moottorilinnut” in 1980.

In 2008, Kuusniemi made an international TV documentary Promised Land Of Heavy Metal about the Finnish metal scene as a co-production with Finnish Broadcasting company YLE. As he is known the “Godfather of Finnish Metal” he had unlimited access to the Finnish metal scene, which also even helped him to get an interview with Madame President of Finland.

Greek Symphonic Extreme Metal Collective W.E.B. Release New Video ‘Dark Web’

Athens-based metal collective W.E.B. is pleased to present their latest video for “Dark Web,” the harrowing opening track from their forthcoming full-length, Colosseum, set for release on November 19th via Metal Blade Records.

Comments guitarist/vocalist Sakis Prekas, “‘Dark Web’ is both a play on the band’s name and music style, and the concept of the so-called hidden layer of the world wide web, and all the rumors about it: that you can purchase drugs, weapons, hitmen, or even kill people yourself there. This horrifying concept of such a reality combined with our understanding that the ones who rule this world look down on us as if we are slaves, or even ants, is what this song is about.“

W.E.B.‘s Colosseum will be available on CD, Fruit Punch-colored LP, and digital formats. Find preordering options at: metalblade.com/web

Since forming in 2002, Greece’s W.E.B. have steadily forged a path to becoming one of the premier European symphonic extreme metal bands expressing darkness and death through adrenaline and poetry. An output that’s both candid and theatrical, W.E.B. is here to move you, provoke you, and invite you on a journey through ravendark and starless nights. With four albums already under their collective belt, 2021’s fifth full-length, Colosseum, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered in Sound Abuse Production Studio in Athens by Psychon and produced by the band’s own Sakis Prekas, is inarguably the band’s greatest and most direct work to date.

Combining the brutal with the catchy and drenching it in orchestrations that only serve to expand its epic scale, Colosseum is a thrilling, gripping listen with each of its nine tracks playing an important part in the album as a whole, making it clear that W.E.B. stands toe-to-toe with anyone in their genre.

With Colosseum, the band welcomes two new members: drummer Nikitas Mandolas, who joined following the recording of 2017’s Tartarus and whose playing is perfectly suited to the music W.E.B. creates, and bassist/vocalist Hel Pyre. “Apart from the great lyrics and the perfect bass performance, she offered her brutal and clean vocals on many parts of the album, leaving her own mark of fire. This is a completely new element for W.E.B. that really gave a unique character to the material.“

In titling the record Colosseum, W.E.B. draw comparisons with the past and present, in typically brutal style. “The Colosseum was the famous gigantic arena in Rome to give the people ‘food and spectacle,’ whereas what it truly did was to quench the mob’s thirst for blood and violence and keep their minds away from thinking; kind of an ancient TV-brainwash machine,” notes Sakis. “People nowadays seem to be thirsty for blood more than ever. They seek violence in almost everything. You can see it in social media, in the streets – even a simple fight between kids in a schoolyard attracts the other kids, not to separate but to watch. Humans miss the Colosseum and what it gave to their violent nature, even though they will never admit it. The title Colosseum is the irony of giving them what they secretly desire. Maybe then they will start to understand what they see in their mirror and hopefully it will bother them.“

ALLEGAEON Announce New Album “Damnum”, Premiere New Video ‘Into Embers’

Colorado metal force ALLEGAEON return with their sixth studio album, DAMNUM, set for release on February 25th, 2022 via Metal Blade Records. Today, the five-piece deliver a blistering look into their new album with the video “Into Embers.” Album and merch pre-orders are available now at: metalblade.com/allegaeon

“As an introduction to our new album, DAMNUM, we are thrilled to present “Into Embers,” ALLEGAEON vocalist Riley McShane proudly states. “This song embodies the dark and fitful nature of this album by bringing to the table elements of ourselves as a band and as individual musicians that we have been waiting to share with you all for a long, long time. As always, we are excited for our listeners to join us as we step forward into new landscapes – continuing to push the boundaries of our music further and further – and we are eager to experience the unveiling of DAMNUM together over these next few months.“

ALLEGAEON have built themselves a unique place in the musical landscape, forcing both technicality and melody to the forefront as they create tumultuous and riveting death metal. With DAMNUM, their sixth full-length, they push everything further into the extreme, and in the process deliver the definitive ALLEGAEON record.

For McShane, centering his lyrics on processing sadness, anger, grief, and loneliness, his intention is that some people might take solace in the words and use them as a resource to cope with their own experiences. “My hope with these lyrics is to have them be relatable to listeners and show them that they’re not alone when they’re experiencing the gamut of negative emotions – someone else is out there feeling the same way.“

Helping to bring the record to life is new drummer Jeff Saltzman, as guitarist Greg Burgess admits, “This is really the first record where the drummer has written all their parts, instead of us guitar players programming a beat and having our drummer just write the fills,” and adds McShane, “pairing him with our bass player Brandon Michael, we have a rhythm section that can keep up with the level of musicality and proficiency the guitars have always brought to the table.” ALLEGAEON is rounded out by guitarist Michael Stancel.

Longtime producer Dave Otero once again joined ALLEGAEON at Colorado’s Flatline Audio Studio, with Burgess asserting that working with Otero is “always easy and a blast.” However, the band concede that the more collaborative nature of the record – and for the first time all members being present in the studio for the entire duration of tracking – led to the passionate butting of heads on occasion. “There was a lot more creative input coming from all directions on every song, and while it was stressful at times to sort through the noise of everyone’s ideas, I think it ultimately added something wholly unique to this album in comparison to any other in the ALLEGAEON catalog.“

DAMNUM Track Listing:

02. Of Beasts and Worms

04. To Carry My Grief Through Torpor and Silence
