INCREASE THE ANIMA is the solo project founded by Davide Porcelli (EGOSYSTEMA), drummer and bass player with a three-decade-long experience. The debut EP “Elisabeth” will be released digitally on October 31st 2021 via Tunecore.
Today the band unveils the second single “Take Your Hand”.
“I wrote this song a year ago. I wanted to create an acoustic song with a rock vibe and a fresh sound. I am happy about the result which I and Marco Pastorino (TEMPERANCE) reached out. He took care of melodic lines and lyrics”, explains Davide Porcelli.
“Elisabeth” is a fresh and fascinating modern rock record. It features several special guests, including Marco Pastorino (TEMPERANCE, VIRTUAL SYMMETRY) who took care of vocals duties and lyrics, Luca Birocco (EGOSYSTEMA), Luca Negro (TEMPERANCE) and more. The artwork was created by Gustavo Sazes (ARCH ENEMY, ANGRA and more).

INCREASE THE ANIMA was born during Covid-19 pandemic at Dpsound Recording Studios where multi-instrumentalist Davide Porcelli wrote several different songs, mixing 30 years of rock, metal and hard rock on this unique project.
Following their latest, 2014- album, Work To Be Done, which was lauded by both fans and critics alike, Genoa- based desert rockers TEMPLE OF DEIMOS have announced their return with the release of a brand new album! Heading To Saint Reaper, the band’s third full-length, is slated for a release in early 2022 through underground powerhouse Argonauta Records.

The Italian stoner rock trio was formed in 2006, channeling the flavor of groups such as QOTSA and heavily inspired by the Palm Desert and 90’s grunge scene. TEMPLE OF DEIMOS have toured with acts such as Nick Oliveri or Dandy Brown of Hermano to date. Creating their fuzzy, heavy yet psychedelic desert rock sound in a distinctive shape, the band’s upcoming album will even see them to get out of their comfort zone, ultimately cementing their own and unique character.
Finnish dark acoustic prog folk rocker NOBODY released a new single Three Little Witches. The track is taken from the upcoming third album Another World which is set to be released on October 29th 2021 via Inverse Records.
Tuomas Kauppinen comments: “The Three Little Witches are weaving the destinies of all living beings according to the unbreakable laws of Karma. You may plead them as much as you want but only your own choices about every moment of your existence can change the course of your lifeline. Almost twenty years ago to the day, celebrated thrash metal act SODOM released one of the most significant albums of its career: ‘M-16’, an offering that continues to be a challenge both musically and in terms of its content still touches upon a very sensitive issue in the history of mankind. The theme of the iconic concept album is the Vietnam War, which was officially fought between North and South Vietnam in the 1960s, with the intervention of 500,000 US soldiers fighting and supporting anti-communist North Vietnam against Eastern Bloc detachments. Songs such as ‘Among The Weirdcong’, ‘Napalm In The Morning’, ‘Minejumper’ and ‘Cannon Fodder’ see musicians Tom Angelripper (vocals, bass), Bernemann (guitar), and Bobby Schottkowski (drums), who recorded the album at the time, hauntingly evoke through harsh metal sounds and unmistakable words images of war, brutalisation and devastation, grievances and the excesses of Western civilisation. ‘M-16’ continued Sodom’s tradition of politically committed and socio-critical albums such as ‘Agent Orange’ (1989) and ‘Code Red’ (1999). No doubt: In autumn 2001, Sodom succeeded in creating a masterpiece of international metal history, now set to be re-released on 10th December 2021, remastered by Sodom drummer Toni Merkel and featuring extensive bonus material as well as attractive fan items in a premium-quality package.

‘M-16 (20th Anniversary Edition)’ will be available in three different formats (tracklisting below): as a deluxe box set, including the remastered original album plus bonus live tracks, two additional bootleg LPs with further previously unreleased live versions (recorded in Germany, Thailand, Japan), a USB stick in the shape of a rifle cartridge with all the album songs, a Sodom military ID badge, a poster featuring the cover artwork plus a 44-page booklet with rare photos and liner notes by Tom Angelripper. In the booklet, former ‘Metal Hammer’ contributor Manni Eisenblätter, whose private archive contains countless unpublished Sodom photos, tells the story of the album`s creation and promotion, for which the band travelled to Thailand and South Vietnam just a few weeks before its release to get a first-hand impression of Vietnam, a country scarred by the devastation of war.
In addition to the remastered original songs, the CD media book includes two previously unreleased live tracks from 2001 and additional never-before-seen Sodom photos, which also can be on the orange vinyl version (2LP, 180g).
Looking back two decades on, ‘M-16’ continues to be a very special album to bandleader Tom Angelripper: “The recording is definitely one of Sodom’s classics, not least because of its consistent thematic concept. It was also our last collaboration with producer Harris Johns, finalising an important era for the band. I’m very happy that ‘M-16’ will now be re-released as a ‘20th Anniversary Edition’ with new versions and lots of attention to detail.”
