COUSIN BETTY are back with a brand new single ‘New Dimensions’, which is out now via Golden Robot Records. The single is another chunky stoner / desert rock feast.

Cousin Betty’s latest single is taken from their upcoming sophomore EP Overs. With heavy guitars and crashing cymbals, ‘New Dimensions’ is an exploration and analysis of the diabolical sci-fi death cult, Heaven’s Gate. 

Overs will be released digitally on the 16th of October. Following the success of their debut EP Left, and the success of singles ‘Drone’, ‘Tape Hiss’ and ‘AWOL’, this EP will sit in the happy middle ground of a band finding its way from the solo project (of guitarist Damien Stofka), to the collective of Sydney stalwarts that now complete the band’s physical line-up. 

Featuring members of Nitocris, Madame Fatale, Death Mattel, LITTER and Spurs for Jesus (and Lime Spiders on this EP), the future seems bright for this band whose roots in garage psyche are far less apparent in their broader set than this EP.

TANTAL Come Back with Killer New Song ‘Salvation/Damnation’

After several years of experiments with the different genres TANTAL are coming back to their roots with a new EP “The Last Extreme” which is planned to be released in late 2021. The new songs will bring back all the energy and power of the band showing its extreme side mixed of the outstanding female extreme signing and brilliant guitar work which became one of the highlights of TANTAL.

ACID MANTRA Sign with Wanikiya Record, Debut Album “Cold Stare” Out Now

Wanikiya Record is happy to announce the entry of ACID MANTRA, their debut album “Cold Stare” available now on all streaming platforms!

ACID MANTRA were formed in February 2021 from an idea by Marcello Monti (singer, actor, radio and television speaker). Voice to teach vocal teacher and student of harmonic and extreme singing, he is a male interpreter of the Rock opera “Oltre l ‘ Abisso”, lead voice in the Indhastria (alternative rock) and Hell Flames (AC/DC tribute band) projects, multi-instrumentalist and voice of Acid Mantra. Ascari Enrico (former Metal Core guitar Browbeat, Blowin, Wasting Disease, Stonedrift solo guitar, guitar and bass in the Doom project Stoner Mantra Acid Mantra). Both enjoying Doom Stoner Metal, they quickly compose some songs exchanging files over the internet given the covid period. In the following month Pietro Vecchi joins the drums (drummer of Indhastria “alternative rock”).

ANCIENT SETTLERS Release New Single + Animated Sci-Fi Short Film ‘Library of Tears’

‘Library of Tears’  is the latest single from international modern melodic death metal outfit ANCIENT SETTLERS, out now on all digital platforms via Crusader Records, and was produced by the legendary Fredrik Nordstrom. ‘Library of Tears’ is accompanied by a stunning animated sci-fi short film.

Ancient Settlers was founded in 2020 by Carlos Chiesa-Estomba & Herman Riera former Haboryn), Rene González (former Aesthesis), Emmy Reyes (Blackbeer, former Gamalyel), and Antony Hämäläinen (Meridian Dawn, former – Nightrage & Armageddon), a group of musicians with more than fifteen-years of experience in the European and American metal circuit.  
 
‘Library of Tears’ offers a perspective about the dark side of our society and the decadence of our species. Sonically, the track features powerful guitar riffs, heavy guitar solos, blunt drums, rumbling bass guitar and deep vocals, surrounded by a spiritual synths & keyboards atmosphere.

The band started their journey with the intention to explore the frontiers of modern melodic death metal, including catchy guitar riffs, the use of synths & keyboards, and a variety of different sounds and rhythms, trying to develop their own music personality.  

From a lyrical point, the band gets inspired by the recent tragedies that affect the earth and human race. They try to spread their message over all those who want to listen.   

Despite this, the band needed to modify their starting plans, due to the pandemic outbreak. They pushed ahead and in January of 2021, the band released their first digital single ‘Diamond Eyes’, along-side a limited edition 7″ vinyl. The following February, the band released their debut album Autumnus. Both were recorded in Portugal, France, Spain and the USA, and requested the service of Daniel Cardoso (Anathema, Anneke Van Grisbergen) to mix & master the album, as well as Gus “Perkele” Sazes (Angra, Kamelot, Gus G, Firewind, Arch Enemy) to design the artworks. 

In April 2021, Miguel Herrera joined the band as a full-time bass player. The band started to develop a live-session tour, including venues throughout Portugal, France and Spain.  

Ancient Settlers have just signed to Crusader Records to release their killer 10 – song album, produced by worldwide Grammy awarded Fredrik Nordstrom. 

SWALLOW THE SUN Announce European Tour for Winter 2022

SWALLOW THE SUN are finally hitting the road again. After being forced to not play live shows due to the pandemic for such a long time, the Finnish doom death metal spearhead is happy and proud to announce a European headline tour in Winter 2022 with special guest AVATARIUM.

Starting on January 24th, the band grasps the opportunity to celebrate their latest release of the full-length studio album ‘Moonflowers’ – which will be released on November 19th 2021 – with 35 shows through 15 countries across Europe ending on February 27th.

Prog metal space opera DOCKER’S GUILD is very proud to announce the imminent launch of its crowdfunding campaign for its new upcoming album “The Mystic Technocracy – Season 2: The Age of Entropy“. “Season 2” continues the project storyline with a much darker tone and with the help of eighteen special guests, including Helly, Anna Portalupi, Joel Hoekstra, Sascha Paeth, Nita Strauss, Amanda Somerville, Anneke Van Giersbergen and many more. Thirteen videos will also be released, as well as a limited edition illustrated book, for a complete multimedia experience The campaign will start on October 1. All the details  the dates, the exclusives and the link to help finance the album will be revealed on October 1. 2022 will mark  the 10th year anniversary of the release of Docker’s Guild’s acclaimed debut album “The Mystic Technocracy – Season 1: The Age of Ignorance” and the project is very excited to celebrate the occasion with the release of this new fantastic album.
