Post-punk alt rockers JOY/DISASTER have released the fourth of four live video series for the song ‘Alloy‘, recorded and mastered by Gorgor at Studio De La Forge on October 30th, 2021. The track is taken from the band’s new album “From Stars To Angels“.

JOY/DISASTER’s new album ‘From Stars To Angels’, includes 14 intimate tracks which trace the evolution of emotions during a period of isolation. ‘From Stars To Angels’ is available on all major platforms since September 10th 2021.

JOY/DISASTER commented on the recording sessions:
“Composed during the confinement period between March and May 2020, FROM STARS TO ANGELS is an album bringing together very intimate tracks and which traces the evolution of emotions during a period of isolation. Each of us has taken a different look at the world, the media, nature and it is these developments that have given aggressive and melancholic nuances transcribed on these songs.
Given the difficulties in being able to move around, only the drums were recorded in DIY studio conditions but for the rest of the recordings, everyone recorded at home and then sent the tracks for mixing and mastering.”

About the musical style, the band adds:
“We do not respect musical codes, each album is different even if we find common sounds and harmonies, and we’re always trying to find new creative methods to express ourselves through the music.
Every new thing brings joys and disappointments, but that’s why we keep our rock’n roll spirit!”

DEAD LORD to Release New EP ‘Dystopia’ on March 11th;  European Tour Announced

Swedish Hard Rockers DEAD LORD have announced the details for their upcoming EP release, ‘Dystopia’! A continuation and closing chapter for the band’s 2020 full-length LP, ‘Surrender’, the ‘Dystopia’ EP starts off where that record ended, with the title track serving as a front bookend. The remainder of its tracklisting features a collection of cover versions from acts like D-A-D (‘Sleeping My Day Away’), Winterhawk (‘Ace In The Hole’), Moon Martin (‘Hands Down’) and Rory Gallagher (‘Moonchild’), before closing out with the Swedish version of ‘Letter From Allen St.’. The ‘Dystopia’ EP, which features front cover artwork by Juan Machado (Shown above!), will see a March 11th, 2022 release via Century Media Records.

Speaking on their new EP, DEAD LORD guitarist and vocalist Hakim Krim finds the following words:

“Wax is the only thing that’s eternal! We know this as well as do you. So at last, here’s our latest single-gone-ep release, for you to enjoy. 6 tracks of something new, something old, something borrowed and something ice cold. A couple of unreleased tracks, homages to our fellow rockateers, if you will, along with some nuggets previously only digitally released, finally make their way to a face melting platter of rocking grooves. So even in the most dystopian of potential futures, where computers have long since lost to the nuclear storms, your record player will keep spinning. And rock will prevail!“

Last Friday, POWERWOLF launched a stream with real event character that reaches dimensions that have never been seen before. While other bands compensate the circumstance of not being able to perform in front of an audience within the given circumstances with filmed live performances, the wolves take several gigantic steps further! 

The band is taking their fans on a journey into the depths of POWERWOLF‘s world with a fantastic setlist performed in a stage setting that is an epic highlight on its own with its visuals, size, equipment and production. In months of hard and detailed work, a story was created – told in several chapters based on POWERWOLF’s music and opulent film scenes, which are smoothly integrated into the show. All show effects, actors and locations go hand in hand with each other and bring the medium of live music to an unprecedented level. From battles with clergy to stories of nuns and monks to burning angels – cinematic images are delivered that immediately capture the viewer while literally abducting them.

SECONDHAND DEPRESSION Release New Video For ‘The Long Road Home’

SECONDHAND DEPRESSION have released their brand new video for their track “The Long Road Home” via Terra Relicta and can be viewed here.

Secondhand Depression adds: “This one is probably one of the coolest tracks we’ve ever written. We tried writing about some pretty innocuous things but then twisting them to make them just slightly darker. There’s a lot of cool percussion stuff going on in this one – I think we used things like toy drums, chains… weird stuff like that. The video is really cool, the imagery is exactly the aesthetic we’re into.”

Secondhand Depression announces a limited edition physical re-release of their 2020 self-titled EP. The prog/goth rock recording collective, composed of Lucas Di Mascio (Malacoda) and Michael Farina (Wolf Saga, ex-Farewell to Freeway) have put out some information on the re-release including a never before released cover of Tiamat’s “Cain” and a supplementary drum sample library for recording enthusiasts.
