THE BLOODSHOTS Release New Single ‘Bad Moon Rising’

Canadian rockers THE BLOODSHOTS are back to follow up the success of their smash single ‘No Way Out’ with a modern, dirtied up version of the classic Credence Clearwater Revival tune, ‘Bad Moon Rising’, and BOY does it rip!

Recorded during the pandemic, you can hear the anguish come out as The Bloodshot boys tear through this classic, with vocals that cut through like a hot shower for cold bones. ‘Bad Moon Rising’ is available now on all digital platforms via Golden Robot Records.

“We wanted to stay in the theme of the pandemic with police brutality, riots and so on. It’s funny how this song can be as relevant today as it was when originally released. ‘Bad Moon Rising’ has kicked around our set for a good few years and it always gets the party going – so we figured, why not release it as a single?” – The Bloodshots front man, CJ Loane

With the excitement for the new album increasing and as the band gets ready to hit the road in support of the new album Marching In Time, TREMONTI has released a live music video for the crushing album opener. The live video version of “A World Away” opens with a musical intro before switching into the driving metal riff that kicks off the upcoming album. The video was recorded live in Orlando, FL and features live vocals and instrumentation that gives fans a taste of what they can expect when TREMONTI heads out on tour.

The live video for “A World Away” can be seen HERE:

Marching In Time is scheduled for global release on September 24th via Napalm Records and fans that pre-order the album digitally will receive instant downloads of “A World Away,” “Marching In Time” and “If Not For You.”

Marching In Time is now available for pre-order HERE

Mark Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his years with top-charting bands Alter Bridge and Creed, and most recently his solo band, Mark has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With the upcoming fifth album, Marching In Time, the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song. While its predecessor, A Dying Machine, was an overall concept album seeped in darker sentiments and story, the vibe of Marching In Time is different – emerging as a charging rock/metal offering that takes the listener on 12 individual journeys.

From the driving drum beat of opener “A World Away” to the epic closer “Marching In Time,” the new album is a reflective look at the world around us today. Tremonti’s unmatched musicianship bleeds through the album, showcased on tracks like “Thrown Further,” “In One Piece” and the thought provoking “Would You Kill.” Alternatively, the band displays their softer side on pensive tracks “The Last One Of Us” and “Not Afraid to Lose.” The debut single “If Not For You” shows the evolution of the band’s sound in 2021 and the music video is a frenetic, high-energy performance video that visually compliments the single that is currently impacting radio. The music video can be seen here. The album closer “Marching In Time” clocks in at 7:34 and a recently released  music video for the epic can be seen here. Marching In Time was produced longtime friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette – the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007.

The track listing for Marching In Time is:
1. A World Away
2. Now And Forever
3. If Not For You
4. Thrown Further
5. Let That Be Us
6. The Last One Of Us
7. In One Piece
8. Under The Sun
9. Not Afraid To Lose
10. Bleak
11. Would You Kill
12. Marching In Time

TREMONTI will hit the road in advance of the release of Marching In Time with longtime friends Sevendust, before being a part of the recently announced tour with Daughtry and Sevendust through the US.

ALCATRAZZ Release Frantic New Single ‘Guardian Angel’

ALCATRAZZ, the mighty Los Angeles-born guitar-driven heavy metal icons, release their new single ‘Guardian Angel’ taken from their upcoming new album, set for release October 15th 2021 via Silver Lining Music.

As soon as the proverbial needle has connected with the proverbial first-etched groove of ‘Guardian Angel’, the first track from their fifth studio album V, it is quite literally pedal to the metal in the most glorious, traditional sense. Guitarist Joe Stump and guest-drummer for the track, Nigel Glockler [SAXON], front-foot it from that first split second, screaming guitar sprinting next to those thunderous drums, and then the voice of new Alcatrazz’s singer Doogie White tears into action, smashing the notes and hitting the vocal heights which Alcatrazz music demands.

White explains

“‘Guardian Angel’ is the frantic opening track of the album, it’s very fast and intense, It features Nigel Glockler on drums, who carries out a hell of a performance. Inspired lyrically by a biography of an old stage actress not being able to perform again, the song is a sort of lament of these difficult times, about the pain and sorrow of witnessing classic venues struggling to stay alive and the grief of not being able to perform nor attend concerts.”

“‘Guardian Angel’ is a killer opening, fast double-bass, track, guitar wise, it starts off with a very intricate and harmonized Neo-Classic influenced section, followed by a ripping solo ‘ala Ritchie Blackmore to then go into another arpeggio section and harmony. As far as tempo goes, it’s in the spirit of early Helloween or classic Stratovarius, only heavier and meaner. Once everybody hears it, they’ll know we mean business!”

Furthers Stump.

Formed in 1983, Alcatrazz became famous for its blend of melodic and progressive rock and for introducing guitar heroes Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Emerging in 1983 with No Parole from Rock ‘n’ Roll, which featured the hit ‘Island in the Sun’, the band continued building popularity in 1985 with their sophomore effort, Disturbing the Peace, which contained the hit, ‘God Blessed Video’. The band issued one more studio LP, 1986’s Dangerous Games, before ceasing operations the following year. The band regrouped and released highly acclaimed Born Innocent in 2020, their first studio album containing all-new material since 1986.

Both vintage and timeless, V treads the Alcatrazz textured-territories of old but with renewed vigor and verve.

“The new album brings us full circle from our original roots to a modern much heavier version of all things Alcatrazz in 2021. I feel great and I’m looking forward to the release of our new album with its heavy rocking metal sounds.”

Confirms Shea.

There is little doubt that this Alcatrazz is going full-tilt with not one ounce of a shackle holding them back and in that regard, White’s supreme vocal work on all 12 tracks serves as the catalyst for their creative synergy, and not only that, his supremely positive energy brings the band closer than it has been since, well, 1986!

“The guys called me and asked if I wanted to join the band, and, you know, I’m sure they could and would’ve been spoiled for choice, but, they asked me I.heard the music and ‘Turn of the Wheel’ was the first song we wrote together. It’s a great song, a “metal” hit! V has a couple songs that are “commercially metal”, and then it has some that are very dark and menacing, It touches on a lot of the isolation and loneliness, alcoholism, redemption and darkness, but hopefully there’s a ray of hope and light at the end of it all.”

Furthers White

Produced by Giles Lavery and Jimmy Waldo, and mixed by Andy Haller (Elton John, Joe Cocker and System of a Down), V also includes guest appearances from Saxon’s Nigel Glockler (drums on ‘Guardian Angel’ and ‘Blackheart’), Tank’s Cliff Evans (bass on ‘Grace of God’) and Donnie Van Stavern of Riot (bass on ‘Guardian Angel’, ‘Nightwatch’ and ‘Target’), underscoring how perennially popular Alcatrazz’s music remains with their peers.

And just in case you’re wondering what V stands for? Alcatrazz’s fifth studio album of course… but it also stands just as resolutely for Victory; the victory that sees Alcatrazz 2021 stronger than ever despite all the odds.

Shortly following their live BluRay/DVD Die Letzte Schlacht debuting on the German album charts at #4, FEUERSCHWANZ are announcing their new studio album, Memento Mori. The new album will be released on December 31, 2021 via Napalm Records and will continue the success story of the medieval rockers from Germany / Franconia!

Memento Mori, the follow-up to the successful album Das Elfte Gebot (#3 German charts), sings about great adventures, past battles and outstanding heroic deeds in typical FEUERSCHWANZ fashion. FEUERSCHWANZ manage to stay true to their trademarks, and at the same time, venture musically into new realms.

FEUERSCHWANZ on the new album:
“You take nothing with you to your grave, except your coffin… Memento Mori is the direct successor to Die Letzte Schlacht! The world of Hauptmann Feuerschwanz is in flames, overrun by the living dead and scourged by religious zealots… All of this sounds frighteningly real, even in Anno Domini 2021, so it’s time to defy the storm once again and celebrate life. Let’s live here, let’s live now – until death sharpens his knife!”

Pre-Order Memento Mori NOW!

As a special highlight, some versions of Memento Mori will feature a bonus CD with seven cover songs by Manowar, Amon Amarth, but also O-Zone, among others.

A few days after album release, FEUERSCHWANZ will go on an extended tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They will be accompanied by fearless heavy metal kings WARKINGS.
