ERDVE Reckon with Debt on Title Track of “Epigrama” Album

Erdve are releasing the title track from their upcoming third album Epigrama. Following previous singles “Nyra” and “Ydos”. “Epigrama” follows the album’s arc from grief and moral decay to existential reckoning.

Epigrama comes out May 29, 2026 on Season of Mist. Pre-order & pre-save: https://orcd.co/erdveepigrama

“Epigrama” articulates the philosophical nucleus of Erdve’s new album. Where “Nyra” traced the suffocating cycle of unresolved grief and “Ydos” charted the corrosive progression of regret into stagnation, the title track turns toward accountability. Every decision, or absence of decision, carries an unavoidable debt. The band’s new single moves through the confines of understanding toward a point where clarity and madness become indistinguishable, framing entropy as a governing moral condition.

Tracklist:

  1. Epigrama (04:32)
  2. Nyra (05:32)
  3. Skepsis (05:07)
  4. Ydos (05:34)
  5. Trukmė (06:40)
  6. Svertas (05:39)
  7. Raukšlės (04:22)
  8. Skleistis (05:16)
    Full runtime: 42:48

ERDVE is a metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, experimenting with extreme music since 2016.

In 2017, the band signed a record contract with SEASON OF MIST records, who later released their debut album VAITOJIMAS (translated as: Moaning). The album has set a strong foundation for the band to keep pushing the limits of creativity within the framework of heavy, yet atmospheric metal iterations.

Their second album SAVIGAILA (translated as: Self-loathing) was released by Season of Mist in 2021, and has presented a different and more abrasive approach towards composing and storytelling, focusing on the intensity, unpredictability and drama.

The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John’s 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.

After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release – EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: CROWN THE BEAST Celebrate Release of New EP with Official Video for ‘Human Target’

Posted by metalshockfinland on May 15, 2026
Posted in: News. Leave a comment

CROWN THE BEAST unleash today their apocalyptic vision with the new EP “Judgement” and, to celebrate this, reveal the official “Human Target” video.

This Six Feet Under cover is a track Crown The Beast had long discussed reinterpreting. Their version stays true to the spirit of the original while injecting it with the band’s own brutal sonic identity, turning it into both a tribute and a transformation.

Join the premiering here:

The special moment confirms “Judgement” as a crushing display of groovy modern death metal infused with old-school brutality. Expanding on the band’s established sound, the EP pushes their sonic intensity even further, delivering a relentless and immersive journey into the dark universe imagined by Crown The Beast.

Recorded by the band themselves and produced by Horde Echo Sound Production – a collaboration born while touring Ukraine – “Judgement” captures the raw aggression and atmosphere the band had long envisioned. The result is an apocalyptic soundscape where crushing riffs, groove-driven rhythms and ferocious vocals collide with a focused, powerful production.

With “Judgement”, Crown The Beast present a heavier and more destructive chapter in their evolution. The end is coming – and Crown The Beast provide the soundtrack.

“Judgement” ia out today on all streaming services, via Emanzipation Productions.

Lineup:
Søren Rønnebech Grønning – guitars
Jason Campbell – vocals
Jens Moseholm – bass
Simon Skyrme – guitars

MADBALL Return with New Album “Not Your Kingdom” + Release Video for Single ‘Rebel Kids’

NYHC kings Madball remain one of the few legacy acts capable of seamlessly bridging the gap between the old-school era and the modern heavy music landscape. To say hardcore is in the band’s DNA is an understatement—it is their lifeblood. On their tenth studio album, Not Your Kingdom which will be released on July 24th via Nuclear Blast, the band delivers their trademark tales of survival, but with a deeper, more introspective edge. The lyrics offer a raw look into Freddy Cricien’s perspective on the current state of the world and the human condition, marking their most personal release to date.

The first glimpse into the album arrives with ‘Rebel Kids.’ An anthemic track at its core, it leans into the band’s classic groove and unrelenting energy while striking a chord with the new generation of hardcore fans. The accompanying music video was co-directed by Freddy Cricien and Dave Causa, with Causa also handling filming and editing duties.

MADBALL‘s Freddy Cricien comments, “Funny enough, Rebel Kids was the first track written for this album and actually was completely put together probably 2 years ago … or so. The sentiment, vibe and message of the song really became the catalyst for what came after. We all loved the song immediately but I couldn’t have known it would be the first single. We have several songs that we feel could be first “out of the gate”.  But in the end Rebel Kids made the most sense musically, lyrically etc. We look forward to releasing this song and album. It’s a special one for us and we’re hoping the rest of the world feels the same once they hear it!”

KINGDOM COLLAPSE Announce New Album “Survivor” with Video for Title Track

Kingdom Collapse create the soundtrack to survival. The San Antonio, TX hard rock band alchemizes unfathomable tragedy, trauma, and loss into massive and magnetic anthems powered by pummeling instrumentation and arena-size hooks that remind you to never give up.

Today, the band is thrilled to announce its new album Survivor, which arrives October 30 via Mascot Records. Pre-save it here.

The band also shared the video for the impactful and anthemic title track. Watch it here.

“I wrote ‘Survivor’ while looking back at times of struggle and loss in my life,” states singer Jonathan Norris. “I realized that those experiences made me who I am today. We want our fans to know that whatever life puts in your path, you can overcome.”

Bassist Aaron Smith shares, “‘Survivor’ is an anthem for all of humanity. Whether it’s big or small, we all have challenges in our lives. Optimism is the key for getting through the storms that life brings our way. With a positive mindset and a fighting mentality, we can all be ‘Survivors.'”

Kingdom Collapse originated out of the childhood friendship between aforementioned vocalist Norris and Smith, who grew up together, found music around the same time, and recognized its power after Jonathan endured the loss of his father at eight-years-old.

In order to cope, he immediately retreated into music and the embrace of a small community — which included Aaron’s family. This was the turning point where both boys realized the power of friendship, the power of music, and their potential together.  “I saw my father die right in front of my eyes,” Jonathan sighs. “I didn’t even know what was happening. In some ways, that darkness has never left. Music became my light. I connected with it, and it gave me hope for the future. Kingdom Collapse is a band that carries that torch.”

Jonathan and Aaron each made the rounds in local bands and even collaborated a few times on short-lived projects. When they finally joined forces in Kingdom Collapse, it was as if everything they’d gone through as friends prepared them to make a statement together.

Jonathan tapped Aaron to play bass, and they rounded out the lineup by welcoming guitarist David Work and drummer Gaston Flores into the fold. Their quiet and devoted grind paid off when their breakout track “Uprise” resonated on a global scale, gathering 5 million-plus Spotify streams and bulldozing the way for 2022’s independent Unbreakable EP. The latter housed their biggest single to date “Unbreakable,” which has generated north of 11 million Spotify streams and hit No. 1 on Octane. Unafraid to put in the work, the four-piece didn’t bother with day jobs and went all-in on music, hitting the road for hundreds of shows a year. They shared stages with everyone from Three Days Grace and Nothing More to From Ashes To New, Fire From The Gods, ATTACK ATTACK!, and Adelita’s Way.

In 2025, they caught the attention of Mascot Records and inked a deal with the label. Now, Kingdom Collapse hold nothing back on their new single.

MOURIR Announce New Album & Release Title Single ‘Nous, le venin’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 14, 2026

French quartet Mourir are preparing to release their second full-length studio album, Nous, le venin, on 10th July via Pelagic Records. Their forward-thinking take on black metal and uncompromising approach to their work marks them out as ones to watch when they present this new material live at festivals across Europe including Hellfest, Rock In Bourlon and Resurrection Festival in the months to come.

Mourir about the new single:
“‘Nous, le venin’ is born from a deep disgust toward contemporary individualism. The track denounces the self-centered, cynical, and elitist man, trapped within his bubble of comfort and unaware of the privileges. The piece unfolds in three movements: a deep, heavy, imposing introduction; followed by an aggressive, hateful development — a total rejection. It ends on a quasi-religious, hopeful note, emphasizing the importance of coming together, of communing toward something deeper, more beautiful, something capable of lifting us higher”

Pre-order Nous, le venin here: https://orcd.co/mourir-nouslevenin

With a demo, an album and an experimental EP to their name, the four-piece retreated to the studio at the end of 2025 to write the music for Nous, le venin. Recorded in January 2026 with Amaury Sauvé (Birds in row, Igorrr, Pneu) at The Apiary Studio in Laval, France, the six tracksare the very embodiment of Mourir’s approach to black metal. Although they draw inspiration from many artists in the old-school black metal world, they opted to lean into a more modern sound – one that would allow the depth of their sonic choices to shine. Blending elements of sludge and post-metal to the rawness of their black metal sound, and combining this with a mixthat gives space to both the low frequencies and the high-octane viscerality, Mourir have created something both distinctive and captivating.

Thematically, the band turn their detached gaze towards an ever-more untethered modern society, one that is inhospitable to those seeking meaning in the cruelty and absurdity of aseemingly senseless world. Yet within these tracks exists slivers of light, of hope and ofluminosity – a belief that something better is possible is woven throughout the melodic passagesand most celestial, ecstatic elements of their sound. The evocative cover art by Thomas Davezac captures the feeling of disconnection that permeates the album.

Mourir have recorded an album that cements their place among underground greats who deftlyeschew the nostalgic trappings of black metal convention and breathe new life into the genre. Nous, le venin is imbued with raw emotion that is perfectly complemented by stylistic choices that echo the sentiment of being freed from the chains of the past.

Nous, le venin track list:

1. Ennui Ennemi
2. Mon rêve animal
3. Feu d’un regard
4. Je est absent
5. Aux inutiles
6. Nous, le venin

Alexandre Bérenguer: Guitar
Olivier Lolmède: Guitar, vocals
Théophile Antolinos: Bass

KÄRBHOLZ Release First Lead Single ‘Dämmerlicht’ from Upcoming Studio Album “Sturm Zieh Auf”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 14, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: KÄRBHOLZ. Leave a comment

KÄRBHOLZ will release ‘Dämmerlicht’ on 15 May, the first lead single from their upcoming new studio album ‘Sturm Zieh Auf’, which is due out on 18 September via Metalville. Pre-orders for the album also open this Friday.

The video premiere for ‘Dämmerlicht’, including a live chat with the band, will take place on 15 May at 6 pm CET on the KÄRBHOLZ YouTube channel, here: https://www.youtube.com/@kaerbholzband

Do I have to bow to conventional norms? Do I have to give up my individuality and my nature in order to fit into a mould that others have declared to be the norm? “Dämmerlicht” explores these questions and concludes that saying no to them brings with it at least two consequences: a great deal of resistance, but also the chance for personal fulfilment and making peace with expectations of us that cannot be met, and ultimately the realisation… that we are enough.

STURM ZIEH AUF

…When the storm shatters the silence…

Three years have passed since the double release of ‘Kapitel 10: Wilde Augen’ and ‘Kapitel 11: Barrikaden’. Three years in which the world did not stand still and the band used the time to brew up a whirlwind that is now breaking loose with full force: ‘Sturm zieh auf’.

An atmospheric exchange of energy

A storm is more than just wind. It is a raw, uncontrollable force. It brings destruction, yes – but it creates the space that is so desperately needed for something new. It is the atmospheric exchange of energy that sweeps away the old to make room for change. On their new album, KÄRBHOLZ set this very moment of transformation to music.

With 13 tracks brimming with passion and emotion, the band captures the full spectrum of a storm: from the oppressive ‘calm before the storm’ through fear and unease to the boundless freedom that emerges when the pressure eases.

Authentic, edgy, uncompromising

“Sturm zieh auf” pays no heed to conventions or compatibility. The album draws on the harder elements of the band’s history and creates a self-contained universe that does not seek to please at any cost – and perhaps touches the listener so deeply precisely for that reason. It is a work for those who are prepared to question their listening habits.

•No whining, no finger-pointing: KÄRBHOLZ do not blame external circumstances.
•Focus on the self: It’s about the power of the individual to rise above the status quo.
•Unbridled positivity: Amidst the chaos, the band finds happiness in the small, essential things in life.

The ‘why’ determines the ‘how’

In the spirit of Nietzsche, the album conveys a clear message: ‘If I know a why, I can bear almost any how.’ “Sturm zieh auf” is the soundtrack for this journey. It is the musical manifestation of resilience – an invitation to face the storm, to enjoy it, and to emerge from it stronger.

KÄRBHOLZ are back. Louder, harder and more reflective than ever before.
