SCATTERED HAMLET have teamed up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere, for Finnish territory, their new video for the title track of their upcoming album “Stereo Overthrow”, set to be released on November 12th.
Lead vocalist Adam Joad stated: “We were really inspired by Rudy Ray More and his journey as “Dolemite.” Here’s a guy that every film distributor laughed at but he knew his audience and had faith in his product. He’s a legend. When we started talking to record labels, they were talking to us because what we were doing worked, but then they wanted to change everything because they didn’t understand what we were doing or our audience. It made me think of Rudy and “Dolemite” so we made a video that was a nod to sticking to your guns and doing things your own way when everyone wants you to be something else.”

Driving a full-throttle sound brewed from the essence of Americana, MOTÖRHEAD and a punk rock attitude, SCATTERED HAMLET delivers a high impact wherever they go. The new album ‘Stereo Overthrow’ follows an already comprehensive discography from the four-piece straight out of the hills of Appalachia.
Front man Adam Joad commented “Stereo Overthrow is basically a middle finger in the air to the entire last year, the music industry trying to mold us into a specific format, and basically anything trying to hold you back…”
SCATTERED HAMLET was formed in 2010 by lead vocalist Adam Joad and has relentlessly toured all over the states with widespread appeal from their down to earth accessibility, blue collar work ethic and outlaw vibe. Making an impact from the outset, the title track opens with a burst of energy, distorted guitars, and dynamic vocals. Launching riff after riff the distorted guitars are a fierce force across their tracks, SCATTERED HAMLET creates a compelling sound with intricate guitar leads and mighty rhythms. From the aggressive mood of “Death or Dishonor” befitting a barroom brawl, through to the bluesy rocking “Low Class Blues”, Stereo Overthrow isn’t afraid to explore a variety of styles.
SCATTERED HAMLET has produced a dynamic album that brings bucket loads of attitude, epic riffs and a thriving rock spirit. Not holding back and ploughing through any obstacles that get in their way, Stereo Overthrow is a thrilling road trip not to be missed.
SCATTERED HAMLET are: Adam Joad – Vocals, Guitar, Slide Guitar, Harmonica Rich Erwin – Bass, Vocals, Jaw’s harp Grant Jenkins – Drums, Vocals, Percussion Sean Shepperd – Lead Guitar, Vocals
Swedish ABLAZE MY SORROW will re-release their 2016 ‘Black’ album this December via Black Lion Records.
After a long and exhausting six months but with a fresh album out its time to once again open the vault and bring back something from the past, in 2016 Ablaze My Sorrow returned after a slumber and the result was BLACK, an intense modern take on their Gothenburg sound razor-sharp melodic death metal.
Originally released on German label Apostasy Records in 2016. With the world slowly transcending into somewhat of a resemblance of the normality we knew what would be a better fit to hopefully end this past black year than a proper CD re issuing of their 2016 album Black but this time as an exclusive Digipak CD, along with a vinyl , Tape version for late 2022, Black in itself is not just a colour, but a feeling of darkness one that we all can identify with this past year that has gone by Black is the not just the colour but the feelings of dread we all seem to be surrounded by. This is more than just a phrase in our life but a statement which can refer to many different moods. Dark thoughts of mankind and feelings of hopelessness can perhaps can perhaps be described as “Black“, the darkness we have all felt in this past year.
That’s why the title fits the new record by Ablaze My Sorrow better. 14 years after “Anger, Hate And Fury”, the band presented their new gloomy melodic death metal by the group after having reformed in 2013! 2021 Black Lion is proud to announce the full re issue for the back catalog album Black.
Track list 1. Black 2. One Last Sting 3. Tvåenighet 4. When All Is… 5. Send The Ninth Plague 6. To Reclaim What Is Ours 7. Insomnia 8. Blood Heritage 9. Razorblade Revolution 10. The Storm 11. My Blessing
Rockshots Records announce they will be releasing Greece’s THIRTY FATES‘ new album “Circus Black” on December 10th, 2021.
The upcoming full-length is a 9 track anniversary record to celebrate the trio consisting of brothers Elias and Nick Tzintzilonis and Stelios Papakostas thirty years in heavy metal as friends and bandmates.
The trio’s history begins in 1988 when they introduced themselves to the world in a band named Metal Invaders, which was soon changed to Black Fate. Under that moniker, they released a 4-track demo (1991), but soon after Elias (guitars) continued on to other various bands. Stelios (vocals) went on to a solo pop career releasing singles and touring all around Greece, along with forming the band Blow. Nick (drums) went on to other rock-heavy-pop bands, touring also as a freelancer and continuing on with Black Fate with four amazing musicians, where they released a self-titled EP (2001) and four full-lengths “Uncover” (2002) (Secret Port Records), “Deliverance of Soul” (2009) (Asiral), Between Visions & Lies (2014) (Ulterium Records) and “Ithaca” (2020) (Rockshots Records).
The trio of Thirty Fates explain how their reunion came to be:
“We felt the need to reform the band after so long time for our thirst of playing music together again. It came out spontaneously when we met each other five years ago, rehearsing the old staff reminiscing the good old times. Then we decided to re-record our first demo and some spare old songs, as we had all the efforts for making a record come to life. Seemed from the beginning we knew what exactly we wanted to do. Making music after so long, was a joyful ride from the past to the present & we really enjoyed it. For all our friends & loyal fans, who have followed for thirty years & also for our new friends. We hope you enjoy our music. It’s worth a listen.”
“Circus Black” is nine tracks of classic melodic heavy metal, with four tracks (Indifferent People, The Edge of Destiny, Be Free, The Pretender) from their 1991 demo, two unreleased tracks from the ’80s, and three tracks from Black Fate’s 2001’s rare ep along with a brand-new song. The album is for those who truly enjoy 80’s classic heavy metal in the vein of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche, Dio, and Ozzy Osbourne.
“This did not happen on purpose, but if you follow the track listing, it’ll feel like a concept album. From the circus visual till the last song, it represents the simple human needs, the ways someone searching himself, how intensifies himself in the society trying to find substance. For sure this belongs to the metal community.” adds the band.
Today, in preview to the album’s release, Thirty Fates are sharing their first single “Just For A Little”, a radio-friendly mid-tempo metal track with heavy guitar riffs, focused drum and bass that is complemented with melodic vocals.
“This is a song of hope, even if you are broken there is always something that will resurrect you, the only thing is to believe in yourself.” – Thirty Fates
Track Listing: 1. Circus of Fate (intro) (0:56) 2. Indifferent People (ft. Angel Wolf Black) (4:56) 3. The Pretender (4:08) 4. Just For A Little (4:41) 5. Sign of Rebellion (4:27) 6. The Edge of Destiny (4:38) 7. Be Free (ft Tim Ripper Owens) (4:01) 8. Depression (5:23) 9. Because We Fly (4:36)

Melbourne progressive instrumental trio THE OMNIFIC – featuring the unique line-up of two bass players and a drummer – have streamed their new single ‘Fountainhead’, from their forthcoming debut record Escapades.
The Australian trio’s much anticipated first LP Escapades will be released 8th October, via Wild Thing Records. Since releasing the initial single from the album, ‘Wax & Wane’, in May, the band have more than doubled their monthly listener count.
Bassist Jerome Lematua comments: “If The Omnific had a track that displayed pure emotion, pushing past the absolute worst of everything, ‘Fountainhead’ would be it. For me, this song represents how anyone can push past their demons and succeed no matter the situation. Never giving up is a hard part in all aspects of life, that many people never get to see or understand, but to me this song gives me hope. If it can give me hope, then I’m confident it can give someone else out there the same hope.”
Escapades is the band’s most adventurous work to date, an instrumental mosaic that dances between the edges of progressive rock, djent, funk, nintendocore, and synth-driven electronic soundscapes, an aural experience akin to a journey to an alternate world through a dimension-hopping Tesla.
The album features a guest bassist performance from Clay Gober of Polyphia on the track ‘Antecedent’, with the record being brought to life by mixing engineer Adam Bentley (Felix Martin, Arch Echo), and mastering from Ermin Hamidovic (Periphery, Devin Townsend Band, Plini).
After releasing three stunning EPs the band have attracted interest and fans from all corners of the globe clocking in over 5 million Spotify streams and 2 million views on their Youtube channel. The Omnific’s accessible style is for all music lovers; from those seeking to be challenged to those who wish to be blanketed by atmosphere, creating an identifiable sound and diverse international fan base. With swirling textures, syncopation, euphoric highs and melancholic lows; The Omnific are truly captivating.
The band have established working relationships with reputable companies Darkglass Electronics, Neural DSP and Dingwall Guitars, seeing them represent the brands with performances at the Melbourne Guitar Show, bringing attention amongst the ‘Gear-Nerd’ community. Coupled with their online play-through, gear demo and music videos, the band’s reach is beyond what many would expect from this impressive Melbourne trio so early in their career.
They are also no stranger to the live circuit with a stack of domestic and international touring under their belt, having toured with Between the Buried and Me (Australian Tour) Cog (Sold Out Australian Tour), Intervals & Sithu Aye (European Tour), several of their own headline Australian tours as well as supporting Ne Obliviscaris, Galactic Empire, Circles and others.
Today, multi-platinum Danish band VOLBEAT announce the release of their eighth studio album, Servant Of The Mind, coming via Republic Records on December 3rd. The new album will be available in standard CD, deluxe 2LP vinyl (in various limited-edition variants, full info below) and a deluxe digital edition. Pre-order the album here.
For Servant of the Mind, the band, which consists of Michael Poulsen (guitars/vocals), Jon Larsen (drums), Rob Caggiano (guitars) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) took their signature heavy metal, psychobilly and punk ‘n’ roll sound up a notch while showcasing Poulsen’s keen ability for songwriting and storytelling.
“I wrote the whole album in three months,” recalls Poulsen, “I was in a good place and mood while at home, and had a captive audience of myself… There are a lot of Volbeat signatures in it. If you go back to the first record and compare it to where we are now, you can hear how the band has developed its style, while keeping the signature sound.”
To coincide with the album announcement, the band has released the new single “Shotgun Blues,” an anthemic track in which Poulsen explores the ghostly events he recently experienced upon moving into a new home. “Every time you move into a house, you bring dead people with you,” he explains. “Weird stuff happens when I move into a [new] house… it’s very otherworldly.” Watch the lyric video here.
The album also includes the “double barrel” of Summer songs the band released this past June: “Wait A Minute My Girl” and “Dagen Før (feat. Stine Bramsen).” The former of which became the band’s ninth number one single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
Other songs on the album weave intricate and fascinating tales. “The Sacred Stones” tells the story of “an earthly being who has committed himself to the dark side. He is on a mission, speaking to darker forces and fallen angels.” Meanwhile, “The Devil Rages On” looks at the idea of the devil taking human form. Album opener “Temple of Ekur” returns to the ancient themes explored in past songs such as “The Gates of Babylon,” while the epic album closer “Lasse’s Birgita” explores the story of the first witch burnings to occur in Sweden in 1471.

Volbeat are two decades deep into a career that has found them sharing stages with genre legends like Black Sabbath, Metallica, Motorhead, Slipknot, Megadeth, Anthrax and more. They have racked up nearly three billion cumulative streams over the course of their career, notched a Best Metal Performance Grammy nomination for “Room 24 (feat. King Diamond)” from 2014’s acclaimed (and gold-selling) Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, and have grabbed multiple Danish Music Awards. Not ones to rest on their laurels, their forthcoming album Servant of the Mind, which was written and recorded during the shutdown and quarantine necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, is introspective but pulls no punches and is no less raucous or driving than their previous efforts.
Tomorrow, the band kicks off their “Wait A Minute… Let’s Tour” run, their first US tour in two years, at Atlanta’s The Tabernacle with shows in cities including Oklahoma City, San Diego, and Los Angeles (full dates below).
