GRETA VAN FLEET Announce ‘Dreams In Gold’ Tour 2022

Following this year’s sold-out headline events and a #1 Billboard Rock Album, Grammy-winning rock band Greta Van Fleet are confirmed for their forthcoming Dreams in Gold tour, which kicks off March 10 with the band making a triumphant return to their original stomping grounds in Michigan for a string of arena shows followed by Midwest dates and international shows in Mexico, Europe and the UK.

Grammy-nominated group Rival Sons and critically acclaimed rising artist The Velveteers will support the North American shows. Tickets are on sale this Friday, November 12 at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. There will be a Fan Presale on November 10, and a Local Venue Presale on November 11. See HERE for more info and a complete list of dates follows below.

Strange Horizons, the band’s specialty events in 2021, saw sold-out shows in Nashville, Bridgeport, Chicago and Los Angeles. The group’s critically acclaimed album The Battle at Garden’s Gate was released earlier this year to extensive chart success and fanfare, debuting at #1 Billboard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Vinyl Album, #2 Billboard Top Album Sales and in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.

An hour of rock music that touches on their familiar themes of war, grief, and spirituality…it contains plenty of the intellectual flights that inspired an active subreddit of superfans who devote serious brainpower to textual interpretation of their lyrics. But mercifully, it’s genuinely enjoyable outside of those contexts too.” – Vanity Fair, Read HERE.

“There’s something winning about the members’ earnest intentions, as well as their unwavering commitment to them. Their sincere love for the history of rock shows in the depth of their knowledge about it.” – The Guardian, Read HERE.

“aim to bust down old walls.” – Rolling Stone, Read HERE.

“one of the best straight-up rock albums to come down the pike in many moons” – Variety, Read HERE.

The Battle at Garden’s Gate explores the boundaries of the group’s artistry and reflects heavily on the individual members’ personal and spiritual growth during their rapid rise. “There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had,” explains vocalist Josh Kiszka. “It’s reflecting a lot of the world that we’ve seen, and I think that it’s reflecting a lot of personal truth,” says guitarist Jake Kiszka.

Forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan back in 2012, Greta Van Fleet consists of three brothers, vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, as well as drummer Danny Wagner. Together they have performed across multiple continents, sold over two million albums worldwide, performed on late night television shows, topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2019.

Chaos, Collusion, Carnage & Propaganda is the first new music from Extinction A.D since 2018’s full-length Decimation Treaty. On the new EP, the band comment: “While the music world stood still throughout the COVID lockdown, the real world moved on in so many crazy ways and that’s what spawned this EP. People showed their true colors, both corporate and authoritarian powers exerted more control, lives were lost, brains were softened and both tension and anger mounted. That gave us an even more visceral sound than ever on Chaos, Collusion, Carnage and Propaganda.“

SO HIDEOUS Share New Single ‘Souvenir (Echo)’ from Upcoming Album

NYC post-metal visionaries SO HIDEOUS have revealed “Souvenir (Echo)”, the opening track from their upcoming new album None But a Pure Heart Can Sing. It will be released on December 3, 2021 via Silent Pendulum Records.

You can now stream the track and pre-order the album here.

None But a Pure Heart Can Sing is the band’s first new album since 2015’s acclaimed Laurestine, released on Prosthetic Records. Described with words like “stunning” and “haunting,” 2015’s Laurestine is an album of post-metal tempests, augmented by a 30-piece orchestra. BrooklynVegan hailed the album as “devastating, end-of-the-world type sh*t, putting screamo, post-rock, and atmospheric black metal in a blender and really letting those modern classical influences shine with the orchestral parts.” Mass Appeal called it “metal heavily influenced by the sound of film scores… atmospheric bliss.”

Still raging as hard as ever, still expressing the extremes of torment and beauty, None But a Pure Heart Can Sing sees So Hideous incorporate new sounds and rhythms into its approach. The album features the debut of new bassist DJ Scully and drummer Michael Kadnar (also in Downfall Of Gaia) – the explosive rhythm section of The Number Twelve Looks Like You.

Brandon Cruz describes in detail the new direction the band has taken: “I think we still have the foundation of what we laid before, being influenced largely by Japanese post-metal bands Mono and Envy, and composers such as Arvo Part and Max Richter. We wanted more rhythm this time and we expanded outward to include influences from Fela Kuti and Tony Allen‘s Afrobeat percussion, James Brown‘s horn section, and the balladry of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. It was also nice to finally experiment a bit with more Penderecki-style tone clusters and glissando on the more dissonant sections.”

Absolutely thrilling on a musical level, absolutely cathartic on an emotional level, None But a Pure Heart Can Sing is an example of the triumph of art created with open minds and open hearts.
The album album was engineered, mixed and mastered by The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Kevin Antreassian at Backroom Studios. The vocals were recorded at Atomic Garden West by Jesse Nichols. None But a Pure Heart Can Sing is now available to pre-order,  via New York’s label Silent Pendulum Records, or in Europe via the Evil Greed shop at this location!

REPLACIRE Give Studio Update, Share Official Video for ‘Do Not Deviate’

Tech death outfit REPLACIRE is currently in the studio tracking their long-awaited new studio album, which will follow up 2017’s critically-acclaimed full-length, ‘Do Not Deviate.’ The band has shared the below studio update as well as an official music video for the song “Do Not Deviate,” which can be viewed at THIS LOCATION.

REPLACIRE comments, “While we grind on the new album, we thought it would be cool to create something with another artist for people to enjoy in the meantime. We have tracked drums for 11 new songs and are beginning work on recording guitars. Stay tuned!”

‘Do Not Deviate’ was named one of the best albums of 2017 by a multitude of accredited publications, including Loudwire, Metal Injection, Worship Metal, and more!

‘Do Not Deviate” has been hailed as “set[ting] the tone for modern, rhythmically-centered death metal. The technical work is in the cutthroat arrangements, which take hairpin turns amidst riding frenetic grooves, gaining momentum with each track until the runtime has been exhausted.” (Loudwire).

‘Do Not Deviate’ can be streamed, ordered, and downloaded HERE.

REPLACIRE was founded by guitarist Eric Alper in 2009. The band self-released their first full-length album ‘The Human Burden,’ in 2012. The ‘The Human Burden’s unique and wide-ranging material was an ambitious statement of intent, and cemented the band a thriving reputation as a must-follow heavy bands in the region. Following ‘The Human Burden’ release, the band toured extensively through the Northeast supporting the likes of BEYOND CREATION, HATE ETERNAL, MISERY INDEX, ARTIFICIAL BRAIN and more. Footage of REPLACIRE performing “Corridors of Resolution” from ‘The Human Burden’ can be viewed here.
