Eclipse Records is thrilled to announce the signing of VIOLET BLEND to an exclusive worldwide deal! The band is from Florence (ITALY) and they were formed in 2014. Violet Blend just wrapped up production on their sophomore full-length album Demons with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Quiet Riot, LA Guns, Nanowar of Steel) and it is scheduled to be released worldwide on April 1, 2022.

“In such a dark time for music, the start of our collaboration with Eclipse Records means a real rebirth for Violet Blend” says lead vocalist and pianist Giada Celeste Chelli. “We are thrilled to start working with them, it’s a new way of inspiration. This album is also a new beginning for us, we are back on the scene with renewed energy, passion and determination!” Bassist Ferruccio Baroni adds “The fact that a label like Eclipse Records believes in our project and music is wonderful. This gives us new energy to restart after Covid-19… This is the year of Italy!”

The band’s new full-length album Demons is scheduled for release on April 1, 2022, and it was produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio (Quiet Riot, LA Guns, Nanowar of Steel) at Ivory Tears Music Works. Violet Blend are an awe-inspiring female fronted band that make us measure our internal landscape differently. There are thirteen tracks on Demons, all cornerstones for the theme of ambitious yet contradictory facades. The album is an exciting record with something for everyone, from the superlative vocals to the rhythm-chops that seem to echo the true pulse of the world. See below for the full list of song titles. MALOTA Share Brand New Track ‘Lampedusa’, New EP Out November 12th

November 12th will see the release of “The Uninvited Guest“, the brand new EP from Italian punk rockers MALOTA!  “The Uninvited Guest” represents the band’s rebellious attitude, dealing with personal stories of suffering, death, illness and isolation, while the mood of the songs is never imbued with sadness and nihilism, instead with anger to react to the ugliness that surrounds us. All the pain, disgust and disillusionment of the last two years can be heard in these five new tracks and with “Lampedusa” the band now released a first single.

“We chose the single ‘Lampedusa’ from ‘The Uninvited Guest’ EP because it is the first track of a new chapter of the band. It also talks about a theme that we really care about: the Human Beings. On one side who die in hope of giving a better life to their family by migrating from their homeland and on the other hand the pretty living beings who enjoy seeing cold dead bodies lying on the bottom of the sea.

We would like to dedicate the song to the Human Beings who did not survive the migration, by sea or by land, and to all those who, despite succeeding, are still victims of violence, racism and discrimination.” the band states.

Tracklist:

  1. Lampedusa
  2. Anti-social
  3. Ministers of Fear
  4. The Queen, the Lady
  5. The Uninvited Guest

With cover artwork done by Mario Yomi, the EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Tommaso Mantelli at Lesder Studio in Winter 2020, in between two pandemic lockdowns. Pre-order the new “The Uninvited Guest” EP from MALOTA now via multiple digital options at THIS LOCATION

NONPOINT Release Official Music Video for Cover of ‘When Doves Cry’

NONPOINT released the official music video for their revision of “When Doves Cry” today. The video was directed by Francesca Ludikar.

The single was originally released by Prince and the Revolution in 1984 and was one of the hit singles from the album Purple Rain.

Vocalist Elias Soriano says, “Our fans throughout the years have always had a quiet romance with the songs we like to cover. Seeing that our biggest showing in that category, our cover of Phil Collins ‘In The Air Tonight,’ was a suggestion from a friend and fan of the band, we thought it only fitting we let all our fans have a chance to throw their hats in the ring this time. So in the middle of a global pandemic, we threw up a bracket style voting tournament with a list of contenders from Metallica to DMX. As fans voted over a few weeks, it was exciting to watch it go from 16 songs to the final two, Metallica’s – Nothing Else Matters vs Prince’s – When Doves Cry. When they chose Prince, the real work began. We went through version after version. We knew we had to do it justice in the biggest way we could as tribute to Prince and still make it Nonpoint. I’m happy to report from initial response among the few who have heard it is exciting and we look forward to our fans singing it for years to come.”

Dr. Fink of Prince & The Revolution reacted to their cover by saying, “I just listened to Doves and thought it was great!”

He adds, “Nonpoint’s revision of When Doves Cry by Prince and The Revolution rocks like a champion bullfighter slaying a prized bull!”

Nonpoint’s fans have really loved the cover live. Watch this clip from the show the band did with Seether in Tempe AZ: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CU5zmkcla3L/

German CREDIC Sign with Black Lion Records, New Album Coming in 2022

Black Lion Records is pleased to announce the signing of German Death Metal group CREDIC.

Credic is a five-piece melodic death metal juggernaut from Stuttgart that sounds like the early Gothenburg scene taking a stroll through the sonic netherworld of “Stranger Things”, the band was brought to our attention from our promotional department All- Noire and we instantly felt that this was something very fitting both musical style wise but also story wise.
So its with great pride we welcome them into Black Lion Records.
Credic’s sound is perhaps best linked to bands such as Amorphist, Dark Tranquility but the band takes things much deeper path. Imagine a cross between Gothenburg metal and the score to “Stranger Things”, sounds like a massive, zeitgeisty metal album taking a stroll through Hawkins, Indiana.
You might wanna call it arcade death metal or not: This is a first, not only in the cosmos of melodic  Death metal.

Credic had this to say
We’re more than stoked to reveal that a new era in our career begins. Inspired by the sounds from Gothenburg in our early days we come full circle back to Sweden where we found the home for our upcoming album.

We cannot imagine a better place to unleash this beast and put all our trust in the hands of the mighty Black Lion Records.
