German death metal powerhouse DISCREATION release “Iron Times MMXXV” via Massacre Records. The record is a newly reworked version of the band’s successful 2023 album “Iron Times”, featuring fully re-recorded vocals by the band’s new frontwoman Skadi.
To mark the announcement, DISCREATION have unveiled the music video for “Blood Ritual”, offering the first official preview of Skadi’s vocal interpretation of the material.
Guitarist Sebastian Schilling comments: “Initially, we only wanted to re-record the track Blood Ritual with Skadi to shoot a video for it. But once we were in the studio, we decided to re-record the vocals for the entire album. This gives fans the opportunity to hear the songs not only live with Skadi on vocals. Skadi has put her own stamp on the songs, allowing Iron Times MMXXV to stand on its own as a separate version alongside the original recording with Marc Grewe (Asinhell, ex-Morgoth).”
With “Iron Times MMXXV”, DISCREATION open a new chapter while offering a forceful reinterpretation of their most recent material – expanding the martial, war-fueled identity of Iron Times without diminishing its impact.

Switzerland’s rock heavyweights GOTTHARD return with a brand-new single, “Smiling in the Pouring Rain”, a stripped-down, heartfelt moment led by Nic Maeder’s warm, comforting voice. The song is about finding strength in hard times and remembering that the storm always passes.
“The idea was to give it a positive vibe. Even if sometimes life could be sad, or sometimes even sadder. What you always have to keep in mind is that something good is always going to come sooner or later. So you have to keep believing in what you do, and especially in yourself. We’re trying to give a little bit of hope. That’s the idea behind this song.” — Leo Leoni
“This song is basically about life and the unexpected great things that can come out of bad times. Life can feel like a never-ending roller coaster, and this track is kind of our take on ‘Singing in the Rain’.” — Nic Maeder
“Smiling in the Pouring Rain” showcases once again GOTTHARD’s ability to craft emotionally resonant rock music that uplifts as much as it moves.
“Smiling in the Pouring Rain”will be included in GOTTHARD’s upcoming mini-album, “More Stereo Crush”, set for release on March 13, 2026 through RPM. Produced by Charlie Bauerfeind and Leo Leoni, mastered by Sascha “Busy” Bühren, and featuring artwork by Manuel Schütz and Thomas Ewerhard, the album continues to highlight the band’s signature mix of melodic hooks, powerful vocals, and rock-solid instrumentation.

As Everything Unfolds are proud to announce the release date for their new album, ‘DID YOU ASK TO BE SET FREE?’, on April 10th via Century Media.
To mark the announcement, today also sees the release of a new single, ‘GASOLINE’. ‘Gasoline is a story about that unquantifiable and confusing human bond you get with someone else,” explains Charlie Rolfe. “That twin flame sensation, that mutual connection with an unknown person, almost like you were destined to be in each other’s lives. During this song it explores an explosive connection, the thought process, the denial in wanting it and the need to turn away from it, even though it feels wrong, you desperately try to keep hold of your life path, ignoring this fated sensation, how heartbreaking and soul destroying it can be. This idea tied in so neatly with the concept of Count Dracula and Mina’s relationship from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, that otherworldly, toxic and destined love. Similar to Set In Flow, we used the story to visually inspire the music video, to which shots from the video are homages to moments in the 1994 film.’
DID YOU ASK TO BE SET FREE? is a deeply personal record shaped by grief, trauma, escapism and the slow, uncomfortable process of confronting reality. Written across a period of profound upheaval, the album documents a journey from emotional safety and creative flow into loss, numbness and disorientation, before gradually finding movement again. Framed around the idea of maladaptive daydreaming and fantasy as both refuge and trap, the songs explore addiction, self-sacrifice, burnout, fractured relationships and the question of whether freedom is something to be desired or feared. Drawing inspiration from cinema, literature and subconscious writing, the record shifts sonically and lyrically as time passes, mirroring real change rather than resisting it. The result is an album that does not offer neat resolution, but instead captures the fragile, ongoing act of learning how to exist, grieve and continue.

Lamb of God have set a March 13 release date for their new album, Into Oblivion (Epic Records), marking the band’s first full-length release in four years.
Into Oblivion finds Lamb of God embracing their position as modern metal veterans, beholden to no one, with nothing left to prove. The 10-song collection references the band’s roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and expands their approach, resulting in an album that feels both deliberate and untethered.
News of Into Oblivion’s March arrival is accompanied by the debut of its title track, “Into Oblivion,” alongside a video, directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. Aggressive and as unforgiving as ever, the song pairs the band’s musical ferocity with psychologically charged lyrics.
“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton shares. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
Vocalist Randy Blythe doesn’t mince words on why the band decided to name the album Into Oblivion, saying candidly: “Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”
In the months leading up to today’s announcement, the metal veterans released a pair of blistering singles that offered listeners a taste of the album’s range. “Sepsis,” the band’s first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground that shaped Lamb of God’s formative years. Consequence, in their Heavy Song of the Week feature, noted the track’s fresh approach, saying “Morton’s riffs are bruising at this slower pace,” and adding that Blythe bellows “like a heavy metal Nick Cave.” “Parasocial Christ” followed, evoking classic Lamb of God with a three-minute onslaught that Revolver dubbed an “anti-tech thrasher.”
Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Va., with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, Calif., the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.
Album pre-orders, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies, are available via the band’s website: Lamb-of-god.com.

Lamb of God is Randy Blythe (vocals), John Campbell (bass), Mark Morton (guitar), Willie Adler (guitar) and Art Cruz (drums). Formed in 1994, the Richmond, Va.-based band has released nine critically acclaimed albums, received five GRAMMY® Award nominations, sold over 3 million albums, packed arenas around the world, and tallied over one billion streams and counting. Widely regarded as one of the most influential and innovative forces in modern heavy music, Lamb of God’s most recent collection, Omens, arrived in late 2022, marking their sixth consecutive album to debut in the Top 15 on the Billboard 200. Kerrang! noted that the album finds the band “as reliably heavy, violent, and pissed off as ever,” and Consequence said the “album will break you down to nihilistic pieces.”
Before heading out on one of the most anticipated European tours of the new year supporting Lorna Shore Sweden’s masters of aural dissonance and unapologetic heaviness, HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH are dropping “Godhood”. The song comes with a dystopian video by Riivata Visuals.
The manager of the enigmatic four piece adds: “Humanity’s Last Breath let the music do the talking but as their manager I gladly add to this that ‘Godhood’ is the soundtrack that will give you this one extra repetition in the gym you long for. It is the cosy black hole that wraps itself around you like no weighted blanked ever could. Join in! For the joy of a Musical Event Horizons gravitational field warping the fabric of reality so severely that time itself grinds to a halt. Falling into it is to experience the crushing weight of the entire universe’s future, collapsing into a single, infinite second. TDLR: It is a Solid Song.”
Formed over a decade ago as brainchild and creative outlet for guitarist and producer Buster Odeholm (who also plays with Swedish progressive metal legends, Vildhjarta and drums with metalcore standard-setters, Thrown) and vocalist Filip Danielsson, HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH continue to raise the standards and expand the lexicon of extreme sounds for metal.
