MELECHESH Release New EP “Sentinels of Shamash” with Lyric Video for ‘The Seventh Verdict’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 13, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MELECHESH. Leave a comment

Shrouded in mythic devastation and divine revelation, MELECHESH has unveiled the new digital EP Sentinels Of Shamash via Reigning Phoenix Music.

The international Mesopotamian metal pioneers reveal tales of a forgotten age with commanding riffs, distinctive ritualistic rhythm arrangements produced by combining six-string and 12-string electric guitars, and incantatory vocals across apocalyptic soundscapes.

To celebrate the release, the band has shared a new lyric video for “The Seventh Verdict”, available here:

Sentinels Of Shamash, stands as a ceremonial descent into ancient law, fire, and cosmic vigilance. Drawing from Mesopotamian myth and the solar judgment of Shamash, god of truth and justice, MELECHESH crafts an offering steeped in divine wrath and esoteric order. Each composition unfolds like a sacred inscription, invoking forgotten gods, fallen kings, and the eternal tension between chaos and balance.

Through commanding riffs, relentless rhythms, and a sonic architecture that bridges ancient cosmology with modern extremity, Sentinels Of Shamash delivers a mythological statement rooted in fire, judgment, ruin, and restoration. The sentinels stand eternal guard over fate itself.

Sentinels Of Shamash was produced by Ashmedi and co-produced by Rob Caggiano and Kristian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner. Bass lines and backing vocals on were recorded by Rob Caggiano, who also contributed rearrangements to “In Shadows, In Light”. Drums were performed by Nikitas Mandolas, with engineering and mixing and mastering by Kristian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner, and engineering and tracking by Daniel Claar. “The Seventh Verdict” features guest vocals by Jessica Pimentel.

Sentinels Of Shamash Tracklist:
1. The Seventh Verdict
2. In Shadows, In Light
3. Raptors of Anzu

About MELECHESH:

MELECHESH was formed in 1993 in Jerusalem with the intent to forge what the band defines as Mesopotamian Metal. Rooted in black metal and thrash, their sound draws deeply from Sumerian and Mesopotamian mythology, as well as cosmic and occult themes, while incorporating Mediterranean and Middle Eastern musical elements into an extreme metal framework. Over the decades, MELECHESH has evolved into an international musical and cultural phenomenon, known for its distinct identity, scholarly mythological focus, and uncompromising artistic vision (that is referenced by an upcoming generation of bands). This trajectory inadvertently mirrors the life journey of its nomadic, globe-trotting founder and composer, Ashmedi. The band remains a singular force within extreme metal, standing apart through both concept and sound.

ANY GIVEN DAY Release New Single And Video ‘Heal Me To Death’

With ‘Heal Me To Death’, Any Given Day deliver one of their most intense and emotionally charged tracks to date, a crushing metalcore anthem that blurs the line between healing and harm. Driven by razor-sharp riffs, thunderous breakdowns, and a haunting melodic undercurrent, the song dives deep into the toxicity of control disguised as care.

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/anygivenday

‘Heal Me To Death’ explores the suffocating weight of relationships where love becomes manipulation, and salvation turns into destruction. It’s a raw confrontation of inner conflict and external pressure, where the promise of being “fixed” comes at the cost of losing yourself. Lyrically, the band paints a dark and vivid picture: golden façades hiding inner demons, faith twisted into force, and words that cut deeper than wounds. The recurring line “Pour your cure like poison, watch me bleed” encapsulates the track’s core, a powerful metaphor for the danger of imposed healing and the violence of misunderstood intentions.

BANKS ARCADE Sign with Arising Empire + Release New Video Single ‘Severance’

Arising Empire have never been ones to play it safe, but with their newest signing, they’ve doubled down on something far more volatile. Enter Banks Arcade and their ferocious new single ‘Severance’, a track that doesn’t just blur genre lines, it tears them apart and leaves the pieces smoldering.

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/severance

Built on a collision of punishing metalcore, glitchy electronic textures, and the swagger of modern hip-hop, ‘Severance’ feels less like a song and more like a system overload. It’s aggressive, cinematic, and calculated chaos, exactly the kind of statement you’d expect from a band that has never acknowledged the idea of staying in one lane. ‘Severance’ captures that momentum at full speed. There’s a maximalist intensity running through the track, industrial electronics colliding with downtuned riffs, hooks that feel like they’ve been dragged through a rave at 3am, and a sense that everything could fall apart at any second, but never does. It’s controlled destruction.

Catch the band live:
June 10, 2026 — Leipzig, Germany — Naumanns (Felsenkeller Leipzig)
June 14, 2026 — Brighton, United Kingdom — Chalk
June 16, 2026 — Stuttgart, Germany — Proton The Club

WARSENAL’s New Album “Endless Beginnings…” Out Now, European Tour Starts This Week

Canadian speed/thrash metal trio WARSENAL haveofficially released their new studio album “Endless Beginnings…”, out now via Massacre Records.

Following the previously released singles “Feeding the Wildfire” and “Mass Grave Mass”, which showcased both the band’s relentless aggression and conceptual depth, “Endless Beginnings…” is now fully available, marking the band’s most ambitious and fully realized work to date.

ORDER THE ALBUM HERE: https://massacre-records.com/warsenal_endless_beginnings_sale/

With “Endless Beginnings…”, WARSENAL push their signature blend of speed, precision and controlled chaos to new extremes, delivering a record that is as ferocious as it is meticulously crafted. Packed with razor-sharp riffs, high-velocity drumming and uncompromising intensity, the album represents a significant step forward in both songwriting and sonic identity.

At the core of the record lies a dystopian conceptual framework: a world ruled by an elite known as the Dawn Mowers, living in a floating city above a planet cast into perpetual darkness. Through systems of religion, addiction, labor and false hope, humanity is trapped in an endless cycle of control and submission.

Musically, the album showcases a dynamic and diverse approach, blending classic speed metal urgency with modern precision and subtle black metal undertones. This evolution is further reinforced by the presence of drummer Zack Osiris, whose performance adds new levels of aggression, tightness and technical finesse to the band’s sound.

Produced by Mathieu Rondeau together with Ryan Battistuzzi, and mixed and mastered by Olof Wikstrand at Hvergelmer Studios, “Endless Beginnings…” delivers a powerful and cutting production that perfectly captures the band’s intensity and vision. The striking cover artwork, created by Justin Cournoyer (4CII), visually complements the album’s dark and immersive concept.

WARSENAL firmly establish themselves as one of the most exciting and uncompromising acts in the modern speed/thrash metal scene.

As promised, enigmatic black metal horde UADA is now streaming its new acoustic album ‘Interwoven’ in its entirety at THIS LOCATION!

While the original April 10 release date is still being honored digitally, the physical copies will not be shipped until late May due to delays at the manufacturing plant. The album represents an acoustic journey tracing one song from each chapter of UADA’s discography as well as various covers from the bands who’ve inspired them. ‘Interwoven’ will be released via Eisenwald and physical copies can be pre-ordered HERE.

In addition, UADA is now hitting the road! The band has joined forces with industrial metal artist MORTIIS for a very special co-headliner, featuring exclusive anniversary sets and supporting performances by Jerome Reuter’s ROME and WRAITH KNIGHT. UADA will be performing their seminal 2016 debut album ‘Devoid of Light’ in its entirety + a special CERMONIAL CASTINGS 30-year anniversary set featuring Wraith Knight. In addition, MORTIIS shall be performing songs from his groundbreaking 2001 full-length, ‘The Smell Of Rain,’ along with other volumes of dystopian despair. The tour kicks off tonight, April 10, in UADA‘s hometown of Portland, OR. The full itinerary can be found below while tickets are now available HERE.

UADA is also celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their debut album, ‘Devoid of Light,’ with a special reissue! Originally released in 2016, ‘Devoid of Light’ remains a remarkably focused debut – just five tracks, a little over thirty minutes – and yet a fully formed statement. The ‘Devoid of Light (10th Anniversary Edition)’ returns in an expanded form. Remastered by Arthur Rizk, who previously handled mixing and mastering for UADA’s sophomore album ‘Cult of a Dying Sun’ and mastering for the acoustic album ‘Interwoven,’ the material gains depth without losing the character of the original recordings. This edition also includes previously unseen photography by Peter Beste, alongside rare archival material, expanded liner notes, and an exclusive bonus track. It will be released on July 17, 2026 via Eisenwald in CD format and 3 vinyl color variations; it is now available for pre-orders HERE.

Moreover, after much demand from fans, UADA will be returning to Milwaukee Metal Fest for the second time since leaving their mark during the 2024 edition. The festival will take place at The Rave/Eagle’s Club from June 4 – 7, with UADA performing on the 7th. More info and tickets can be found HERE.

“The idea of ‘Interwoven’ – an acoustic journey tracing one song from each chapter of our discography – was first envisioned on the very day UADA was conceived: October 1st, 2014,” says UADA founder and frontman Jake Superchi. “In those early conversations, when laying out the future I sought to create, I recall sharing the concept of a stripped, atmospheric interpretation, supported by the haunting resonance of strings – cello or violin. At the time, the notion was met with skepticism, perhaps even dismissal. Yet it was an idea I knew would one day take form. It had to.”

“UADA has always drawn from a wide spectrum of influences – many of which extend far beyond the traditional boundaries of black metal,” he continues. “With Interwoven, we sought to peel back the layers and reveal the vastness of these realms; to immerse the listener in both the foreign and the familiar, in textures that challenge and comfort in equal measure.”

“More than a sonic experiment, this album was a deliberate act of vulnerability. It was a personal and collective trial – a chance to step outside the acquainted shadows and embrace the uncertain light. The earliest intent was to craft something primitive and ritualistic, echoing the ancestral tones of ancient Pagan folk. Vocally, we anticipated a palette of whispers, chants, and throat singing. There was never a plan to explore clean, melodic singing – until an improvised vocal passage in “Djinn” revealed something unexpected. That unscripted moment sparked the foundation of what would become this album. With the band’s enthusiastic support, the recording process began – without a script, without rehearsal, and with full commitment to spontaneity and truth.”
