Are you ready for a ‘Revolution‘? While EQUILIBRIUM are still busy working on their upcoming 7th album that will see the light of day in 2022, the epic metallers take a moment to reflect on their past and also offer a first taste of what’s to come in the future.

Since their legendary sophomore album ‘Sagas‘ has been sold out on vinyl for many years, they are now re-issuing this epic pagan gamechanger on strictly limited sandstone and gold-brown marbled vinyl. These formats will be released on November 12th and soon, the band will reveal another surprise from that era and their early beginnings in 2008.

Pre-order your vinyl now or spin the record including classics such as ‘Blut Im Auge’ or ‘Unbesiegt‘ again on the streaming platform of your choice: https://bfan.link/Equilibrium-Sagas

And here’s to the future: Since the band are aware that the wait for their next album has been far too long, they are now revealing a brand-new track titled ‘Revolution‘! Once again mixing their folk roots with modern elements, EQUILIBRIUM once again deliver a new tune that will surely get stuck in your head immediately.

Mastermind René ‘Berthammer’ Berthiaume states:
“While we are constantly working on our new album, we now took some time to release a new song and music video. We are very happy about the result, because it combines our folky roots with our current style. The moment to be able to hit the stage again comes closer and we cannot wait to present our new material also live again!”

More on STEREO TRAGEDY:

Stereo Tragedy was birthed 4 July 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after Jacob Bibee (guitarist, former Sever Your Ties) had a conversation reminiscing of the olden days in the metal scene with James “jimbo” Thomas. Following that conversation, another conversation was had with Amanda, Jacob’s wife, and it was evident that it was time for Jacob to make his reemergence into the music world after a 15 year hiatus.

After 6 months later, after many sleepless nights in the studio and intense composition trying to hone the correct sound for the band, the pandemic hit and the music industry essentially shut down. Jacob being solution oriented, decided to find a way that this whole world meltdown could be beneficial, and that’s when it happened.

Jacob noticed the infamous Bjorn “Speed” Strid post on social media that his bands (Soilwork, Donna Cannone, The Night Flight Orchestra) would no longer be touring for the foreseeable future. Jacob knew that Bjorn had often done guest appearances for bands, but Jacob decided to push the idea of Bjorn actually doing the entire album. After hearing a few songs, Bjorn agreed to do the album as a guest appearance, not as a permanent member, as he is completely busy and in step with his many great projects.

As the project began to unfold, it was time to bring in trusted and respected members into the fold. Jacob then contacted none other than Matt Cohen (bassist, NEW LANGUAGE) and Ryan Severino (drummer, former Scars Of Tomorrow). This was a very easy decision to contact these two as Jacob and Ryan played in a band in South Orange County, CA in the early 2000s, and Matt Cohen’s old bands used to share the stage with Jacob and Ryans bands back then as well.

With the agreement of Matt and Ryan to come on board, and a complete shutdown in Jacobs business ventures due in part to Covid-19, Jacob packed his bags and headed back to his great state of California to be closer to Matt and Ryan in Southern California.

The self-titled debut album was completed in Spring of 2021 and was mixed and mastered by none other than Thomas “Plec” Johansson of The Panic Room in Sweden. The album is set to release late summer 2021.

Once the album has been released, the band will then fill and announce the members of the two remaining roles: vocalist and guitarist.

Australian heavy rockers WICKED SMILE have released their new single ‘Last Goodbye’, followed by their debut full length album titled ‘Wait for the Night’ on September 24th. Watch below the video for the new single.

Wicked Smile are all about bringing back fist pumping heavy rock to the forefront with a collection of ten ‘killer songs’. The forthcoming album is produced by Paul Laine (The Defiants) and mastered by Bruno Ravel (The Defiants/Danger Danger). Guitarist Stevie Janevski goes on to say, “last year was all about giving the world a ‘taste’ of what we’re about. We’re a five-piece kick ass heavy rock band and I think we made our presence known with the release of our Delirium sampler ep”.

Wicked Smile is fronted by charismatic powerhouse lead vocalist Danny Cecati (ex Pegazus & Eyefear) with Stevie Janevski (The Radio Sun, ex Black Majesty & Cyclone Tracy) and Dave Graham (ex In Malice’s Wake) on guitars, Glen Cav (ex Virtue) on bass and Jason Tyro on drums.

Lyrically, ‘Wait for the Night’ explores current issues within society such as civil unrest, bullying and mental health.

The band has been overwhelmed by the positive response from the underground rock and metal community. Steve Price at ARfm radio called the band “Kickass Australian rock with killer vocals”.

Fans of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, Metallica, Icon, Savatage and Skid Row should feel at home, with the band drawing major influence from seventies and eighties heavy rock and heavy metal.

Get ready to hear one of the best heavy rock album’s of 2021.

BLIND CHANNEL Release New Single + Video “Balboa”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 13, 2021

Having recently signed a worldwide deal with Century Media and entering the single charts all over the globe with the single “Dark Side” – BLIND CHANNEL, rising new metal stars from Finland – release their equally beguiling follow-up single, “Balboa”!

“Balboa’s” powerful Eurovision predecessor “Dark Side”, with more than 40 million streams to date, set the bar incredibly high, but “Balboa” is easily an equivalent triumph, striking another hammer blow to further establish Blind Channel’s very own brand of ‘Violent-Pop.’

The band comments:

”Balboa is a reminder of who we are – who we have always been. It’s a violent pop showoff about getting back up again and again, no matter how hard you’ve been hit. It’s us sticking to our vision without compromise. Underdogs are a dangerous species. This is a call to arms to every hardworking dreamer out there, and the soundtrack of our career so far. We keep coming back.”

The release of the new single is also accompanied by a spectacular music video. Filmed in a boxing gym, it lives up to the promise of title.

LORNA SHORE Release “…And I Return to Nothingness – EP” Including New Video for Title Track

For LORNA SHORE, the triumvirate of songs at the heart of …And I Return to Nothingness – EP are nothing short of an exorcism – and a plunge into something darker. In time for the release of the EP the band is unleashing a band new video for the title track, “…And I Return To Nothingness” that was directed by Joey Durango. Make sure to catch the premiere at 5pm CET/11am ET/8am PT here:

In June the band dropped their viral track and music video for “To The Hellfire”, which has over 2.8 million views and racked up over 4.1 million Spotify streams alone. The track debuted and peaked at No. 4 on the Spotify Viral 50 chart and has been used in 2,000 TikTok videos, including the viral reaction video by Nik Nocturnal, which has over 4.4 million views to date. Additionally, fans have been posting their own renditions of the breakdown in “To The Hellfire” for the #LornaShoreChallenge, with close to 39 million views and counting.

“…And I Return to Nothingness” introduces their new frontman, Will Ramos (A Wake In Providence), a longtime friend and veteran of the scene that birthed the band. LORNA SHORE began what was to be both a trial by fire and a victory lap on the European Faces of Death tour, headlined by Polish thrashers, Decapitated. They held their own and won over crowds only to face the challenge of the tour being cancelled and being a continent away as the world shut down amidst the wildfire spread of COVID-19. In that time, the seeds of …And I Return to Nothingness were sown. As the world locked down, DeMicco, Archey, Ramos and guitarist Andrew O’ Connor plunged deeper into the creative instincts that initially made LORNA SHORE a fixture in the extreme metal scene. Embellished with artwork by noted Polish painter Mariusz Lewandowski (Bell Witch, Fuming Mouth), …And I Return to Nothingness reaffirms LORNA SHORE’s creative focus and intensity. Teaming once again with Immortal producer Josh Schroeder at Random Awesome Studios in Midland, Michigan, the band was ready to take the next step. The EP’s three tracks: “To the Hellfire”, “Of the Abyss” and the title track are proof that LORNA SHORE isn’t just continuing their fiery legacy, they’re reigniting it and spectacularly setting their very legacy ablaze. In early July the band released a re-issue of their classic “Flesh Coffin” as LP+CD with 200 available in ultra clear via Impericon: https://lornashore.lnk.to/FleshCoffin-VinylReIssue2021
