WATAIN Sign With Nuclear Blast, Start Recording Seventh Full-Length Album

NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS are proud to announce the signing of notorious Swedish black metal collective  WATAIN. The band has now entered Necromorbus Studios, located inside of a church north of their hometown Uppsala, to record a new album and follow-up to the ferocious 2018 opus “Trident Wolf Eclipse”. The new full-length is scheduled for a release through Nuclear Blast in the Spring of 2022.

The band states:
“Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great reverence and infernal hunger alike that we now stand before the next chapter of Watain. Armed with the faith, force and fire accumulated during the Trident Wolf Eclipse era we are now entering terra incognita, to again face our inner selves and the ever expanding abyss that roars within. A few months of hard noble work lay ahead, and we could not be more ready for it. We are most eagerly looking forward to sharing the result with you all in the wild times to come. Until then: stay hungry, stay deviant, stay free and fuck the world!” – WATAIN, Uppsala 2021

Jens Prüter, Head of A&R Europe at Nuclear Blast, comments:
“I have always been fascinated how Watain build their own cosmos based on their primordial fire of will. It’s more than just music. It’s an universal experience of darkness and light. I first started working with Watain in 2013 and was thrilled to contribute then to their success and highest chart entries the band has ever had. It’s a pleasure to welcome them now to Nuclear Blast Records to continue accompanying their path – wherever it will take us because the path is the goal.”

Nine-Year-Old NOVA, Amazing Talent, Performs ARCH ENEMY’s ‘The Eagle Flies Alone’ on VTM And RTL4 Show ‘Game Of Talents’

Together with her parents and vocal coach Monica Janssen from Wisselkind – Creative Coaching, the then 9-year-old NOVA made the exciting trip to the DPG TV studios in Vilvoorde, Belgium last January. Nova started taking grunt lessons via Zoom with Monica in April last year, who is also known for the bands X-Tinxion and Downcast Collision.

With her performance, Nova surprised the participants and the cast with her interpretation of the song The Eagle Flies Alone from the Swedish band Arch Enemy. The performance has now been viewed more than 138,000 times on the Facebook page of VTM and also caught the attention of the singer of Arch Enemy, Alissa White-Gluz. She was so impressed by Nova’s performance that she sent the following video message to Nova’s Instagram account:

During the past months Nova has not only shown her grunt talent in a TV studio, but has also been in a real recording studio, where she collaborated with Monica and Sander Gommans (After Forever, HDK) on a brand new Magic O Metal track.

Sander comments: “Magic O Metal offers young and old the opportunity to participate in new metal songs and artwork together with professionals! Together with Frank Schiphorst (Mayan) I laid the foundation for a new track. From there we were able to develop it by using cool new riffs and ideas from young guitarists Thijmen van der Meer and Alexander de Wit. Monica Janssen has provided this song with lyrics and both melodic and aggressive vocals, supported by none other than Nova, who showed in Game of the Talents last week that children also have loads of of metal power! The cool thing about these collaborations is that this track contains both old school and many new elements. Magic O Metal aspires to show musicians of all ages that everyone can create something cool as long as you are prepared to work for it. I’m extremely proud of the end result and the song will be released later this year!”

Germany’s hottest and most entertaining medieval folk rockers, FEUERSCHWANZ, have prevailed against pandemic paralysis, releasing two recent virtual live highlights under the banner Die letzte Schlacht (engl. The Final Battle) via BluRay/DVD/CD today!

In celebration, the medieval rockers of FEUERSCHWANZ present a very special performance, inviting Angus McFife of GLORYHAMMER to cover the Ed Sheeran song “I See Fire” with them! Together they add a metric ton of medieval power that will have you out of your seat in no time.

FEUERSCHWANZ comment their new live video:
“The original version of “I See Fire” (Ed Sheeran) sent shivers down our spines when we heard the song at the cinema at the end of the “The Hobbit” movie back then. The lyrics and music seem to evolve directly from the mythical world of Middle-earth! So it was a special affair of the heart for us to perform our folk metal version of the song live. On top we got Angus McFife from GLORYHAMMER as a real warrior to join us on vocals. We are incredibly proud to present this special live-version from our online show Die letzte Schlacht!”

Watch the new live video for “I See Fire” featuring Angus McFife NOW:

Despite the yawn-worthy barrenness of festival fields and stages, the Franconian formation has inimitably managed to capture the magic of a live concert, twice – gifting fans an entertaining adventure full of hits and a huge dose of humor on Die letzte Schlacht.

Featuring high quality footage, electrifying pyro, lighting effects, and above all, the unique, charismatic, tongue-in-cheek talents of the band, Die letzte Schlacht is an absolute must-have. May your drinking horns never be empty and the mead flow forever!

FEUERSCHWANZ on Die letzte Schlacht:
“We are very happy and proud to see all the live power of FEUERSCHWANZ, as well as our creative work of the pandemic period, collected as this piece of art for eternity.”

3TEETH Return With New Track + Video For “Paralyze” Feat. Ho99o9 & Co-Produced By DOOM Composer Mick Gordon

Two years after their gripping album Metawar was unleashed, setting off all kinds of alarms about the self-destructive path humanity has been treading on, industrial act 3TEETH makes their mighty return with the brand-new track and vicious video for “Paralyze.” The unruly new song pits the band alongside track collaborators Ho99o9 for a gritty electro-industrial metal mashup; it was also co-produced by DOOM composer Mick Gordon for an extra layer of techno-apocalyptic sheen.

Listen to the track “Paralyze” here: https://orcd.co/paralyze

Like all of their previous standout material, 3TEETH isn’t here to mince words on the newest release, with frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla saying the track was inspired by seeing people paralyzed by the hysteria of the current socio-political climate.

“Everyone seems to be heading into a visionless future and unable to do anything about it. The paralysis seems to be contagious as we all know things have to change, but it seems easier to imagine the end of the world then it does actual change at this point,” he says. “The media-induced tribalism keeps us in a gridlocked state of cultural schizophrenia as we continue to be trapped in the shadow of our progress. This song was aiming to reflect the frustrations and the horror that we all experience in our current state of waking sleep paralysis these days.”

3TEETH began working on “Paralyze” a year ago in the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree where they holed up to get away from the palpable anxiety of their hometown of Los Angeles to begin work on their fourth studio album that will be released via Century Media Records. The material is currently being wrapped up with the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) co-producing the tracks, bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Says Gordon, “3TEETH are one of my favorite acts. They proudly fly their own unique flag. The new album charts course through the next stage of our vanity-led evolution as a species, and by that I mean the album is a world unto itself. I’m just stoked that these guys have allowed me along for the ride.”

“Paralyze” is the first taste of the new, to-be-announced record. To amplify its message, 3TEETH teamed up with explosive punk-industrial-rap duo Ho99o9, a visionary act in their own right that they originally toured with in 2018. Of the track, Ho99o9 says, “This is only the beginning of an incendiary snowball effect. The nuke is yet to come.”

3TEETH will also make their anticipated return to the stage this fall, an artistic arena where they dominate with a dizzying spectacle that mixes futuristic, neo-cyber design with a voluminous sound that is nothing short of a sensory trip. The display of force has logged them tours with the likes of Rammstein, Tool, Ministry, HIM, Danzig and Ghostemane. Currently, they are slated to provide direct support for Cradle Of Filth on their  ‘Lustmord and Tourgasm’ North American Tour beginning October 1, followed by an appearance at Welcome To Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida on November 13.
