CABAL Ink Worldwide Deal with Nuclear Blast Records, Announce Tour with NASTY

Finally, two blazing forces of metal unite to let darkness descend over the world: Worldwide leading metal label NUCLEAR BLAST is insanely stoked to announce the signing of Danish legends to be CABAL. The six piece from Copenhagen are down to conquer the business with their visceral and doom-laden atmosphere, strapped up with a mixture of extreme metal, hardcore and djent. Be prepared for this lethal combination to blow up your world.

CABAL states:
“We are beyond ecstatic and proud that CABAL is now a part of the Nuclear Blast family.
A lot of the bands that we grew up listening to and idolising were signed to Nuclear Blast, so joining the roster ourselves feels quite surreal, in the best way possible way, for a bunch of fanboys like ourselves. Having the opportunity to work with such an incredible team is truly a dream come true for us.
This is a new and exciting chapter for CABAL. We can’t wait to release our best material yet with Nuclear Blast Records, and we’re ready to take our musical careers to the next level.”

Jens Prüter, Nuclear Blast European Head Of A&R, adds:
“We are very proud to welcome CABAL to NB. Next to MØL, they are one of the most interesting Danish bands pushing the genre boundaries of extreme metal. I first saw the band in January 2018 at the ‘When Copenhell Freezes Over’ event, when it was actually really freezing cold outside and they set the venue on fire with an intense soundtrack to the apocalypse. Since then, they continued to tour all over the world, from Japan to North America and became an unstoppable force of a new generation for Metal. It’s no surprise that Matt Heafy (Trivium) also took notice and joined them as a guest vocalist on their last album. The next chapters will continue to be surprising. Special thanks to their manager Mirza Radonjica and Jeppe Nissen from Copenhell for introducing me to the band!”

And CABAL immediately step up to the plate: Ready to demonstrate their live power as soon as possible, the band will join the legendary NEVER SAY DIE Tour together with NASTY, WITHIN DESTRUCTION, DISTANT, DAGGER THREAT and LIFESICK. Starting in Hamburg, the band will roam ten different cities in Germany and Switzerland. Find the full tour dates below:

CABAL is one of the most brutal and promising heavy acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band aims to create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songwriting draws inspiration from everything from black and death metal to djent and hardcore.

Since the release of their debut album “Mark of Rot” in 2018, the young band has managed to make a name for themselves in both Denmark and the rest of the world by playing renowned festivals like Copenhell, Roskilde Festival, Euroblast Festival and Complexity Fest as well as touring in Europe, Japan and North America.

CABAL released the sophomore album “Drag Me Down” in April 2020 – a dark descent into a personal hell brought to life by crushing instrumentals, an oppressive atmosphere and dark personal lyrics delivered with relentless intensity, while still leaving room for experimentation and expansion of CABAL’s signature sound. Add to this guest appearances from metal titans TRIVIUM’s Matt Heafy, rising metalcore stars POLARIS’ Jamie Hails and Denmark’s Blackgaze darlings MØL’s Kim Song Sternkopf and there is no doubt that CABAL is a band with friends in every corner of the metal scene.

CABAL are currently working on their third full length album which will be released during 2022.

VANDENBERG have announced that Mats Leven will be joining the band as lead singer. The powerhouse vocalist is known for his work with Yngwie Malmsteen, Candlemass and tours with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, among many other bands. To celebrate this new coming together, they have announced their only show of 2021 with the new line-up at the Planet Rockstock Festival at Trecco Bay, Wales, on Friday 12th November. Tickets

Talking about Mats joining the band, Adrian Vandenberg exclaims, “To say I’m excited about working with Mats Leven would be an understatement! It’s a huge privilege to work with a vocalist of Mats’ world-class calibre, who’s just as passionate about kick-ass rock and as motivated and dedicated as I am. A one of a kind signature voice, commanding stage presence, very experienced but as far from running on automatic pilot as humanly possible and a great guy!”

Mats says, “I’m thrilled to join Vandenberg and to be recording the new album! I’ve been a fan since the ’80s, and I’m honoured to be soon sharing the stage with my Dutch amigos!!”

Leven replaces Ronnie Romero, and the band are already working on the follow-up to ‘2020,’ last years’ acclaimed first album since 1985. Talking about the new material, Adrian says, “Mats and I are working on our new songs for the next Vandenberg album as we speak. We’re pushing and inspiring each other to keep raising the bar and are coming up with great, very exciting stuff! Inspired by the best rock bands from the ’70s and 80’s that we grew up on while taking it to the 2020s sonically and dynamically. Straight in your face stadium rockers, layered epic tracks and, of course, a heart-wrenching signature rock ballad. After the amazing re-start with our Vandenberg 2020 album, for which the worldwide response was way, way beyond what I could have wished for, we’re more than ready to switch to an even higher gear with our upcoming one. We can’t wait to hit the worldwide stages hard with this killer Vandenberg line-up with Mats, Koen, Randy and me! Does it sound like I’m excited? You got that right!”

Vandenberg. A name with an illustrious past. Led by master guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, the Dutch foursome released three quality albums during the early to mid-’80s; namely, the self-titled 1982 debut (spawning the US hit single ‘Burning Heart’) ‘Heading For A Storm’ (’83) and ‘Alibi’ (’85). They achieved commercial success and earned much acclaim. The band toured the US, Japan and Europe playing with Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Rush, Scorpions, Michael Schenker and more. Subsequently, the guitarist has had an impressive career. He was a member of Whitesnake for 13 years at the height of their fame, contributing the solo on their #1 hit ‘Here I Go Again’. He spent many years duelling with Steve Vai on guitar and has returned for many reunions. He was part of supergroup Manic Eden and more recently, he has shown his cultured ability is firmly intact with Vandenberg’s Moonkings.

Along with Leven, the rhythm section for the 2021 line-up features bassist Randy van der Elsen (of NWOBHM heroes Tank) and drummer Koen Herfst (Bobby Kimball (Toto), Epica and Doro).

“I believe the vibe we have with this turbocharged line-up is wonderful,” concludes Vandenberg. “We are not at all a nostalgia act, trying to recreate what happened all those years back. This is a brand-new dynamic band with a name that has a legacy, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it’s turned out.”

LANINIA Release New Single ‘Not My Sin’

“Tyrant” – second full-length album by the heavy metal band LaNinia is scheduled for the release on November, 5th 2021.

The official visual video for the album’s second single, “Not My Sin”, is available here:

This Polish band was formed in 2018 by two friends, Daniel Ludwiczak (guitar) and Janusz Duź (guitar). Their music is inspired by bands such as Sepultura, Vader, Biohazard and Acid Drinkers. Debut album entitled “Loneliness” (2018) is a reference to the passing of time, interpersonal interactions and what the world around us is today. It’s the album that goes back to the 90s, but it does not avoid modern sounds. New material entitled “Tyrant” consists of 11 compositions bearing a common denominator-tyranny, which is the main theme of the album. As the band explain: „In today’s difficult and uncertain times, we wanted to look at this phenomenon at a wider angle and present it from different perspectives.” The album fully shows the multidimensionality of the band and what it has to offer to both Polish and English speaking listeners. English lyrics, melodic vocals and guitar groove are the most characteristic features of LaNinia. Invited guests musicians not only showed up for the recording sessions, but also took active part in the creation of the music right from the beginning and left a significant mark on the final sound of the compositions. The album includes a cover version of „Mandatory Suicide” by Slayer. „Our version of this track features Piotr Luczyk as a guest. He is a musical personality that had a big impact on the development of the Polish metal scene and made this cover even more special!”

Tracklist:

1. Confession
2. Down With The Wicked
3. Not My Sin
4. My Tyrant
5. Mandatory Suicide (Slayer cover)
6. Eclipse Of Humanity
7. Fight Back
8. Malum In Se
9. Exterminate
10. The Dark Times Roll
11. Petrichor

After already playing selected shows in the past few weeks NASTY are thrilled to announce headlining the “Avocado Booking presents: Impericon Never Say Die! Tour 2021”. It will be the first real tour since the release of their acclaimed album, “Menace”.

While the original version that was supposed to feature Polaris, Emmure, Currents, Spite, Invent Animate, Gravemind and Stepson had to be cancelled Avocado Booking have been able to put together a new, short version of the tour within Germany/Switzerland, with a completely new line-up, featuring some of the best metal/hardcore/deathcore that Europe has to offer: NASTY, Within Destruction, Distant, Dagger Threat, Cabal and Lifesick.

Tickets are on sale exclusively via Impericon.com now with general presale available via Eventim and other outlets from 11AM on Monday October 11th.

Belgium’s NASTY have spent years crafting their brand of punishing metallic hardcore across stages worldwide, in front of thousands of fans over their long career and will be this year’s main attraction. Joining these two powerhouses will be Dutch deathcore mob Distant, brutal German metallic-hardcore act Dagger Threat as well as Denmark’s Cabal and Lifesick. Unrelenting and unmissable!

’The Avocado team has been up against it constantly since the pandemic hit and as disappointing as it is that the planned INSD! 2020/2021 event couldn’t be realised, we’re incredibly proud of the line-up that we’ve worked hard put together for the INSD! 2021German/Swiss Edition.
